Everything else is people volunteering their own money in exchange for misery and perceived status. I get it but those tactics only work on me below the $1k range. A car isn't worth years of servitude to Mr. Fargo, shouldering the STEEP depreciation of value, and dealing with the potentil nightmare of it being a vehicle that is so far in the gray area for selling that you can lose options you paid thousands of dollars for to an over air update. I've thought about buying a Tesla more than a few times....then I remind myself that the company in general, is terrible. Elon musk is a horrible person, this bad behavior starts AT THE TOP.
If you're worried about shady manufacturer actions, you could just disconnect the cellular/wifi module. You won't be able to use the car's navigation and start battery preconditioning is really the main issue. But I think the people that make those programmable Tesla buttons can have it be manually enabled. There's always a way around something. You can also fast charge on other networks if you needed to with an adapter. Not as good as the SC network on average, but it's possible. That really sucks though, I know you were excited for the new Model S.

Isn't there some sort of trade body or state or federal organisation who oversees sales ?? And surely deliberately altering "evidence" which may be used in a Court action is illegal ?? You should bring this to Mr. Musk's attention with an open public comment or at least take this to your local papers and TV too. Don't let it rest !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow bro, what a hot mess and a scam hands down. Thanks for sharing these videos. Really made me realize that buying cars online sux. You have to physically see the vehicle it person to see what you hard earn money is being spent on. Thanks again for sharing 😎👍
Glad it was sorted bro, just for the record ummm the sales department at TESLA in that area should be held accountable 😕🤔... Awareness is important.Thank u for sharing...
Attracting a new customer can be anywhere from 5 to 25 times more expensive than retaining a current one. Huge ball dropped by Tesla. Glad it's sorted out Randy.
Glad you stuck to your guns Randy it certainly was a matter of principle your money should have been refunded immediately and then you would have no bitter taste in your mouth.Let,s hope the dealership takes a massive financial hit.Keep up the great work I love your work it is immensely enjoyable.
Randy you should consider selling your silver high mileage Tesla. By driving it and providing updates on your social sites, you are promoting the brand. You are showing how good the Tesla brand is by showing a high mileage car still working. Age anxiety is one of the main reasons affecting used car ev sales. Your positive videos will push people to the dealerships to buy used tesla’s as they know they are a good option. Just an idea for you. Thanks for the videos.
very happy that you came to resolution on that case and it is in your favor. Hope that the earthquake didn't make harm to you or your friends and family.
Glad you were able to finally get it sorted out. Unfortunately it’s not just Tesla, but most all car dealers doing these type of things. Thus why I buy 99% of my vehicles from CarMax. 30 days/1,500 mile return policy-no questions asked(actually returned one on day 29 with 1,200 miles added). Plus the several times I’ve returned the loans are paid, closed and removed from my credit report within a couple of weeks. True a lot of these new cars run off software-but the easiest way to avoid OTA updates is I don’t connect them to Wi-Fi and I won’t pay for them to have “internet”. My Ram & Fords-ain’t fixing to pay for that mess🤣🤷🏻♂️
I went through something similar when I bought a steal building from a company based in Myrtle beach Virginia. When I went to see a lawyer is when I found out that Myrtle beach Virginia has a no sue law. So watch what you buy.
I was enlightened by your video. My next car will likely be an EV. I have been checking out the tesla for customer reviews and they are mixed good and bad. Mostly bad the further north you go because of the extreme weather in the winter and summer. Your video showed the true colors of Telsa's policies with their customers. I will look more towards other brands. Thanks for sharing the problems you incurred. Ray
Not all Tesla sales centers are like that. A close friend ordered a model Y last year with a 3 month waiting list. We live in a state that doesn't allow Tesla to deliver in state. Shortly after ordering, her husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away days before she got the call that her Model Y was ready to be picked up. She explained what had happened and she would need time before picking it up. The service rep said she was sorry to hear of the tragedy and to please give her a few minutes. When she came back on the line she said not to worry about picking the car up, she would have it delivered for no charge, which they did. I considered that going above and beyond. Maybe Travis was your problem, just that kind of guy.
Randy, Glad to hear that you got your money back. I understand your disappointment. I want to add, that Tesla had at one time a note about the pictures of the car may not be accurate. I have in the past and anyone can request pictures of the actual car to be emailed to them. I recommend everyone that is looking at a used car to request the pictures, to their email. I have owned a Tesla since 2019 and have exerieinced great and bad customer service. But that is due to the people that you end up dealing with at each Tesla location.
Well Said Randy. PPL think only the ev is connected but all of the newer cars are. If you have on star or anything like it your connected to the matrix.
dude, you say it forwards, backwards, and inside out.... someone was watching with me and said "wow he repeats himself a lot" - so it's not just me.... there are a lot of videos i want to watch every day, and you're gonna have to drop off the list because I can't hear the same thing over and over and over.....
I’ve said this same thing for years!! I will ALWAYS have an “older” vehicle.. I’ve been made fun of for it numerous times.. I REFUSE to buy ANYTHING new that can be shut down by something other than myself.
Bro...u said it first you didn't do your due diligence....however it's not for everyone and there are plenty of positive experiences...still enjoy your content 😊
@Auto Auction Rebuilds -- I have Tesla solar, worst experience dealing with a company in my life by far. They are beyond incompetent. They had me approve plans for the solar install, and then they changed the layout on my without approval and tried to cheap out by putting the solar inverter in direct sun light on the outside of my home, when the signed and approved plans by me showed it in the garage. I had to fight hard to get them to fix it.
Early on people learned not to pre-pay any amount to Tesla prior to picking up the phone. Yes you have to pay the order deposit but all other fees can be paid when picking up the vehicle. Next when talking with them always get them to text the resolution to you and to put it in the service notes. BTW I had service notes vanished! Tesla used to have notation on influencers accounts and treated them much better.
I honestly thought there would be an eventual part 4 with the conclusion of the verdict in Missouri Small Claims Court. I'm glad Randy got the refund without having to go to court. I'm sorry it was such a fight to get it. I didn't think it was out of line to ask for super charging credits. But not terrible he didn't get any. I will definitely take his advice to heart to always screenshot everything before traveling for an out of state vehicle purchase.
Thankful you sort of got sorted out. You still should be given super charger credits as a matter of fact Principle. This company is owned by a Billionaire. Without Customers a company does not have a business. All power to you Randy, All the Best,🇺🇸😍🏴👏👏👏🙏
I’ve seen reports were Ford was looking at the option of remotely repossessing their cars, and remotely driving away if you did not pay your note. That is scary!
after working 6 years in the service industry as soon as the customer starts to demand free stuff they can go kick sand. asking for a refund was justified but the super charge credits was to much evan if you deserve them.
Yes, they are liars. I bought an older Model S a month ago from an independent used car dealership. Before the purchase was complete, I went in person to a Tesla Dealership and asked about the vehicle history and if the free unlimited supercharging was transferable (which it was, I have it), they refused to tell me anything about the car and said that information is only available to the current owner. After I bought the car, I went back to find out about the service history, they refused to tell me anything about the history of the car. Their excuse was that it violates the privacy of the past owner or owners. I told them that that's ridiculous, I don't want to see copies of invoices with peoples names and addresses, simply tell me what has been serviced or replaced, at how many miles and when. Nothing. I told them that their colleague 30 feet away said that I could learn about the car once I bought it, it didn't matter, they gave up nothing. I believe that Tesla does this intentionally to make buying the used vehicles with no service history a riskier decision, this way, people are more likely to buy a new model.
I ordered an M3 last year, there was a 3k price cut after I paid but before delivered, so it showed I overpaid. Tesla told me a check would be sent in 6-8 weeks. Over a year since my delivery I have not got it yet. I call my service center about once a month now asking for updates.
It’s like when you went to pick it up or they delivered it so they got it out of the wagon. You should’ve turned round and said that’s not the colour I ordered that’s not the interior I ordered anyway would you buy Tesla for any electric go-kart you think you’re saving the environment Dangerous you ever seen one on fire, electric fires and normal car fires are 😅😅😅
Randy, loved your message! Greedy and rich people will always be like they are! I am sure Feels onset doesn't know what's going on down below his echelons. Car dealerships are bunch of liars and greedy and stingy people. I know its just business. But they take so much from lower and middle income people. I hope this message of yours will wake up some dealerships that people are tired of their doodoo BS.
To be honest Randy, I think you should’ve went to the attorney, general office, and or the Better Business Bureau. It would’ve went to higher up in Tesla corporate you’re only dealing a dealership and the customer service on the phone it’s not the top tier customer service.
I’m glad somebody out there admits that ICE cars can be remotely shut down too. I get tired of seeing that as an anti-EV argument while GM is running ads showcasing “Remote Ignition Block(TM)” as a feature.
the question with these features should be what happens with them when the cloud feature stops working. will it just refuse to start after changing the battery etc.
The word is that Tesla corporate can definitely shut down any Tesla by remote. The car is always connected to their corporate computer. This is primarily so they can disable a Tesla vehicle that's reported stolen. But if you owe money to them such as a missed payment or non-paid repair bill they can do it too. So be careful about getting on the wrong side of Tesla corporate, that includes the company owned dealerships and their subsidiary the Tesla charging network.
I’m so thankful that you were able to get your refund….hopefully the revenue from your RUclips series on this fiasco will help ease the frustration with all the time wasted driving out there and dealing with the dealership :/
Dude, go back through your own video of when you were at the Tesla service center. It shows you opening the manual to the new car inside your tesla app and very clearly shows a yoke in one of the pictures. Since you probably still have the original footage, you may well be able to get a higher resolution of that.
I think it is the manager or the person responsible at the delivery location who is not willing to accept their fault, glad that you fought this out. Good learning on take “SCREEN GRABS”.
Yeah great push Randy, to stick with the classics and buy older pre software downloaded vehicles they more easy to work on yourself fun to play around with anyway keep doing what you do love the entertaining content 😉😃

Good video. Unfortunately most corporations don't care because if you don't buy it someone else will.
Dealerships ........stealerships. No matter what brand.
Yes part 3, excited off whats ending off this will be😀🔥
@9:34 just a coincidence the light turned on that second lmao when you think the lightbulb turns on
No chance of me ever buying a Tesla now. Like there ever was ... LOL 😂
Every time I entertain the thought of buying a Tesla, new or used, I can find countless examples like Randy's to remind me why it's a bad idea.
I've thought about buying a Tesla more than a few times....then I remind myself that the company in general, is terrible. Elon musk is a horrible person, this bad behavior starts AT THE TOP.
I feel for you, Randy, BUT what Tesla did to you is reflective of the entire automotive sales industry period .
Correct, it's not only tesla, I think legacy mfgs, are even worse.
i live in the KC area and was talking to them about buying a car. Thankfully you posted these video's and now i will stick to volvo
At this dealer - The customer is always wrong. 😠
Sounds like my baby momma. No your the problem.😂
He might ban your current Tesla from charging.
Randy, glad you got your money back, I always like the Tesla brand but after watching all 3 videos, i will not buy one ever i was going to buy a 2021 Tesla Model Y but not now , TESLA Can keep there cars, i'd rather have your 1988 cavalier z24 cause its paid for. there is plenty of gas station to get fuel for the car
I am glad you have subscribers out there looking out for you.😊👍
Attracting a new customer can be anywhere from 5 to 25 times more expensive than retaining a current one.
Happy you win from a multinational. Be glad this video will go viral on the net. It will give you enough compensation on income 😊😊
very happy that you came to resolution on that case and it is in your favor.
Also the first photo you showed the new model S it had the refresh look and different rims and all the trim was black and not chrome like the old one!
Ray
My grandma got her 2006 Chrysler 300 touring from her deceased father she didn’t have to go and buy a new one so that’s a plus
And yeah I live with her
Not all Tesla sales centers are like that.
I'll never look at Tesla the same again after this.
Great video Randy ❤❤❤❤❤
I love how this Travis guy said he's also disappointed when he is the one who lied to you and tried to gaslight you.
It's even hard to get certain parts Free anything from Tesla Randy good luck on that. 😮
Guy can’t even spell “Evan” 😂
I like the caddy Randy. Keep away from Tesla! Glad you finally got all your money back
Yes. Tesla has the power to shut down every Tesla that has been bought from them over the years!!! That is the 2nd reason why I will not buy one!!!
Good evening. Good to see you again.😊👍
I ordered an M3 last year, there was a 3k price cut after I paid but before delivered, so it showed I overpaid. Tesla told me a check would be sent in 6-8 weeks. Over a year since my delivery I have not got it yet. I call my service center about once a month now asking for updates.
Goes to show what i been thinking about testla...they Are crooked...im glad u got ur $1500 back randy
Call me old fashioned but i would never buy any vehicle without looking it in person , i've seen too many people get burned doing this
Great series! Always, Always COVER YOUR "ASSETS"
It’s like when you went to pick it up or they delivered it so they got it out of the wagon. You should’ve turned round and said that’s not the colour I ordered that’s not the interior I ordered anyway would you buy Tesla for any electric go-kart you think you’re saving the environment Dangerous you ever seen one on fire, electric fires and normal car fires are 😅😅😅
Glad you got you refund..Randy ✨👍✨have a better day .
Glad you called them out!
Randy, if you think that was bad, wait until one day you have to visit the service center. That’s way worse. Their service sucks.
Gotta read the fine print, it's there for a reason.
Good learning on take “SCREEN GRABS”.
it was like Tesla was playing a bad YOKE on you. (sorry, thought a little levity would help)🙂
Yeah great push Randy, to stick with the classics and buy older pre software downloaded vehicles they more easy to work on yourself fun to play around with anyway keep doing what you do love the entertaining content 😉😃
Multiple eye openers in this video, well done!
I guess you learned one thing, Don't mess with Tesla. You did the right thing..File a complaint with the better business bureau.
Good warning about these new electronic controlled vehicles…
Not for me thanks !!!
Never mind getting compensated for the trip and expenses. They showed you who they are. Most people already know who is at the to0 and what type of person they are.
