Story of Joyce Chng: From Designing Spaces to Nurturing Lives

"As a former interior designer, I knew his budget wouldn't be enough for a wedding and home renovations. So I took more time to guide him on his finances. This client was very thankful, but after he left, my former colleague at the bank commented that I was foolish for spending so much time with him, knowing that he wouldn't buy any products from me. That was when I realised that my values do not truly align with a bank's business model."
Be it in the design or finance industry, Joyce always had a heart to help others, even if it meant reducing her profits for interior design services or spending more time to help others as a bank financial adviser, at the expense of her sales targets. Over time, this proved to be unsustainable for her as she juggled between her convictions to do good and her career progression.
That is until she found Providend and joined our Associate Adviser Programme. Today, we are proud to have her as a full-fledged Client Adviser, as she sets off to make a meaningful impact on our clients' lives.
