This is helpful but I think it should be mentioned some of this can't be done with medium rolls. (Meteorite shower, signature meteorite attack at the end for example)
light rolling is not required for this boss at all. Meteor shower you can dodge by running left or right and jumping in the direction you're going as the meteors get close. You do need a bit of spacing on the move, but it should never hurt you. His signature move from the festival, literally just run to the opposite end of the arena from where you are. The aoe is way smaller than it looks, and you never need to roll it.
@@ivylifeindeath Messer also had this same problem where his flame would cover up his spear thrust but it wasn't too bad since you knew it was coming. Why exaggerate? Many of his windows are enough for 3 r1s of a fast/medium weapon, or a charged r2 (which is the same speed for all weapons). Not to mention you can safely fit r1s in the middle of several combos (unless you use a colossal weapon, but what do you expect). And do you seriously expect an endgame boss to sit there and let you hit him 4+ times after every attack? And his longest combo is like 7 or 8 hits depending on how you count. Not particularly aberrant by souls standards It really makes me wonder if people come to these videos to learn, or just to cope and seethe in the comments

I saw you running with a heavier equip load than usual. It's much easier with a light load + crucible talisman. You'd do the same to him as you did to Malenia. lol
@@SaxSlaveGaelyes… just start running away the second he goes up into the air, then right before the rocks hit you jump and dodge to the right. You should be out of his range for the phantom attacks and only have to dodge his last attack.
@@machupich Have not had any consistency with doing that unfortunately. And after testing this attack at light load following the video guide. This doesn't work for me at all due to FPS drops messing with the attack and dodge inputs lol.
@@SaxSlaveGael it’s pretty consistent for me, so you must be doing something wrong. Where do you get hit? Sorry if I don’t reply quickly, I’m in between attempts myself.
Awesome guide. I just want to mention a few things that can help with consistency if you are doing no hit: 1. For the attack at 3:22 I would recommend dodging in. For the dodge only strat to work, you need to always be at his side. When you dodge away, you are leaving yourself infront of him and there is a chance he can do the cross swipe immediately. It's fine if you plan on running away far enough to bait a lion's claw or gravity whirlwind, but It's probably safer to just dodge in. 2. For no hit, I found it most consistent to be dodging to the left in p2. For some reason, I would randomly get tagged by the miquella aoe's by dodging right. Dodging left made it much more consistent. Not sure why this is the case, but from my testing it definitely helps 3. Whenever he does his stomp in p2, It sends out a rather large shockwave that expands outward. When he does the p2 stomp, dodge directly into his leg. If you dodge to the side, the timing gets slightly tighter and it makes it a little harder. 4. And last thing: 3:55 for these clones i understand that dodging works and is consistent for people but there is a way to avoid this attack entirely by sprinting right and then dodging the very last one (5th attack). It's the same for the meteor clones but instead you want to run directly away from radahn as soon as he launches himself in the air. If you keep running away while dodging the meteors at the last second, all the clones will be out of range and you can simply dodge is 5th attack. Just be aware that radahn can't be launching himself into a wall or you can't be running into a wall for this to work. I have a RL1 no hit video on my channel that showcases some of these dodges
Oh and 1 last thing. Some of you may have noticed that Radahn is hard to poise break. This isn't because his poise is insanely high (it's only 120.). It's because his poise reset timer is only 6 seconds. This is abnormally low for a boss with 120 poise (it's likely a bug). With this in mind, I found it extremely useful to use throwing knives whenever he does certain attacks that leave him open for a while. One example is when he does his straight lightspeed dash in p2, you can throw a throwing dagger immediately after he dashes away from you. This can help upkeep the poise damage you deal and keep it from resetting.
Can tell you were nervous, but honestly you were straight to the point, and covered each and every attack that he can throw at you with concise instructions. I love this content and thank you
"Now you can kill this boss hitless". Dude, I'm touched by your support but I'll die 100 more times, thank you... The tips are great though, if I kill it without getting more than 5 hits I'll buy you a cup of coffee

@@ivylifeindeath I killed twice, and second time was NG+3 with scadutree level 12. Thanks for making this guide, helped a ton! You probably killed him 1000 times by now :D
His longer combos are good because there's an opening for a light attack in the middle of it in addition to an opening for a charged heavy or ash at the end. Very good for keeping the pressure on him and breaking his poise. For how aggressive he is, he actually has many openings for attacks and healing if you're not panicking.
One thing I really like about this boss is that often the safest time and place to heal is right next to him after his combo ends. This essentially means you’re trading a damage opportunity to heal, which demands an extra level of mastery for this boss
@@spod5849 I beat him with a cold GUGS with Chilling Mist. He only has a few combos where it’s safe to go for a charged heavy, so I relied on frost procks and tanking his defense to get in solid damage
you missed his phase 2 gravity blades attack. In addition to the usual starcaller cry followup, he will also jump up and send 3 clones to cross slash you, and then he will delay his own cross slash and gravity blades. He does this if you're too close after starcaller cry, and it's borderline undodgeable it feels like
thats why i said dodge back for all the screams, he will literally never do the attack. i will upload a short on how to dodge it though, thanks for the feedback!
just don't get pulled by the gravity pull. also don't be near him, even if you don't get hit by the pull if you're near him he will still do the follow up gravity sht
Holy c**p thank you. While it still wasn't a no hit for me, this guide made my second killing of him much less painful. The clones were what kept getting me in phase 2, I feel a bit more confident dodging them, and for future attempts where I might actually stance break him. Sub earned forever.
Watching this after I got lucky enough to finally beat him so I know what I should have done 😂. Also I like your voice and commentary. Calming and enjoyable, I look forward to your future videos.
The Slice, Slice, Cross was the bane of my existence and still is, it legitimately feels impossible to avoid being hit by in several situations and boy did my Radahn just love to spam it. From doing fast 180's while im behind him to literally just running up to me and doing it raw I lost many runs to it. Honestly of the remembrance bosses in the game Consort Radahn is probably my least favorite but still above Elden Beast. The fact they give you such a gigantic window to heal after an attack like that just tells me they know its a problem. Its a cool fight but I cant say I had fun.
For medium load I can say for that final meteor attack where he jumps up, sprinting to the edge of the arena and dodging the explosion is all that's needed. This would probably work for all dodge loads even but i never tried light or heavy.
Brother the Black Steel Greatshield carried me through this. Good stability, Good holy resist and just blocking is so much easier than learning all the combos. This dlc might be the first time I've been this shield reliant. On one hand it feels icky, but in the other hand, the game gives you these tools for a reason. Regardless, I'm glad people like you are helping out those who want to go at it dodge only.
It does kind of feel like some of these bosses were designed with shields in mind with the ridiculous combos. Been going through it on ng+ with Dane’s Footwork and I can feel the joy draining from my soul.
@@chipstick3856 none of the bosses are designed on a specific way to beat them. If you want to dodge then do it but remember this is not ds3 you well get punished at the smallest mistake
Very nicely explained, it's hard to emulate the really cracked no-hit players without commentary but this really equips you to deal with all the attacks. Good stuff.
Just beat this boss solo, this video was an invaluable resource for those phase 2 attacks where it's easy to start panic rolling instead of rolling with purpose. Thanks.
Bro, I appreciate all you No-Hitters, that takes great skill, patience, timing and dedication to what you all do in order to achieve gaming perfection in the Action Adventure RPG genre, you guys all rock ✊🏼.
Nice guide, it was helpful, but I’d like to mention that for the attack at around 5:00, I found it better to go inside radahn, it’s pretty consistent from my experience. And for the meteorite attacks you can just run to the left or right and jump at the end.
Yeah idk wtf he’s talking about with dodging to the side for the meteors. Maybe that works with light rolling, but for medium the only consistent method I’ve found is running to the side and jumping
4:00 No for medium rolls. Walk to your right as he hits right-handed. You can walk to dodge the clones but you need to roll when he comes down himself.
Excellent guide, very detailed, helpful to explain with the visuals! I actually beat him using parry build strats on my first run (I know a lot of people find parries intimidating or don't think they mesh with their build, but for me I personally found they defused a lot of his more difficult moves), so I'm actually kind of excited to try him with just the dodge strats now that I'm not going in blind. This will be very handy!
I love this fight I really hope they make every attack brighter and miquella’s hair should also be way longer to the point where i can’t even see my screen it would make this even better
NOT GONNA LIE, IVE BEEN PLAYING THIS VID ON REPEAT FOR LIKE 2 DAYS AND I JUST NOW BEAT HIM. Holy crap. I'm done with Elden Ring. I don't know. Bro. OMFG. Like, I was able to take some of this advice, some not. Not because it was bad, but because he was inconsistent with his attacks. Between you and mimic, he can switch attacks MID combo. I was level 221, NG+, 14 Scadutree Blessing and 6 Revered Spirit. 60/40/60/60/15/11/35/19 (in that order with vigor 60, arcane being19). Deciding factor was switching to regular lions claw, Heavy Great Stars +25 and going back to beat malenia to get her Scarlet Rot AOE. If you can manage to avoid his attacks like the guy describes in phase two, this scarlet rot attack will cook him while he does anything. I also never avoided the AOE attack, I just tanked it with Opaline Bubbletear/Crimson Crystal Tear or flask. If you tank that AOE attack, get close to him so you can hit him on the way down. It literally came down to the last 1 or 2 flasks, but GOD SLAIN. IM SO GLAD ITS OVER!!!! I wrote a lot because if anyones stuck like me, you might just need luck. Instead of learning to use shields I just learned to roll Phase 1 and tanked a few hits with the Great Stars so I could get 3 lions claws off which breaks his posture+critical hit.
Phenomal video. With some stuff I just couldn't figure it out myself, I finally beat the boss in a "legitimate" way (no summons, no cheese etc) Thanks a lot man.
The slo mo shots are really handy. I mainly use fist weapons so i tend to get greedy with the sheer dps they can have. That is what gets me killed. But this guide will really help.
for the move at 5:02. if you are close enough, you can just *walk inside of him* and sit there until it ends, as his physical model turns off(?) for a second. it won't damage you. Saw Ongbal do it, I tested it for myself, and was absolutely astounded.
I've beaten this boss 5 times now, and I'm still struggling with a couple of things. The Right-Left-X-slash combo is the obvious one, since I can't consistently dodge it even when light-rolling. The other is when he starts with a horizontal slash with his right hand sword, and then follows it up with either a left-to-right horizontal slash, or a delayed double-hand left-to-right. I feel like the first hit here comes out a little too quickly for me to react, and he can start it from neutral at any time in his second phase, and I'm positioned in a way that I literally can't see it coming because of Miquella's hair. And then, because the golden shower follow-up also flinches on hit, it throws off my timing on the follow-up dodge and I get hit by the next attack in the combo as well. It's insanely frustrating. Any tips for the second of these? I'm hoping to do a RL1 run of the DLC but I feel like if I won't be able to overcome these two specific attacks.
In my experience, the pull in attack into the stones, if you got tugged, like you were blocking, you can 100% reliably dodge the follow-up by running backwards and jumping when the stone shards start approaching you. And in my experience, if you get grabbed, if you spam the Rune as soon as you're being released 4 times out of five you'll dispell the charm and have time to dodge/block his next attack, the recovery on it is pretty big for him, apparently.
For anyone who does want to avoid the triple-slash frame trap more consistently, you can either parry it with the new deflecting crystal tear or backstep it with the new fine crucible feather talisman.
Parrying and deflecting is for sure consistent but I would argue that the roll strat is just as consistent. If you fight him with a fast weapon, you can always be at his side. It leaves less punish windows but it's very consistent with enough practice. Oh and btw crucible feather isn't 100% consistent. It works very well in p1, but in p2, the timing becomes extremely tight. I've gotten hit quite a bit by the follow up aoe's by using crucible feather.
I've just started studying this boss tonight. This is very good advice. Helps me to understand his attacks. I'm not aiming for hitless, but I'll try to do it without scadutree fragments. However, I don't see what's wrong with parrying. You made it sound like it'd be a bad thing, but in my opinion, it's quite elegant. I'm happy to know all these tricks for attacks I can't or fail to parry, but I'll be perfectly happy if I can win him at all hits or no hits and parries or no parries. Light load requirement is unreasonable for a total casual like me, since I know I'm going to get hit and will need heavy armor to survive some punishment. But anyway, thanks for the guide.
I beat this boss. Im not doing it ever again either Youre a saint for this though. It gives me the illusion that i wont still need a great shield spear and summons 😂
Actual most helpful video I’ve come by about this boss🙏 Been trying no hit this guy without buffs and no bleed😭(I’ve already watched the video like 10 times, amazing tips)edit: finally did it after hours, ion even know how I kept playing after dying so many times 😭
Pretty much everywhere you suggest getting 2 hits in, you can actually do either a charged heavy or a weapon art. This will build up stance damage so you get a riposte faster, and typically does more damage than 2 light attacks. I used wing stance, and every spot you suggest 2 light attacks, I could do wing stance r2. Also, when he goes for the big overhead slam into ripping the ground up, you can sneak in a light attack with a faster weapon like milady and dodge the slam and quake before getting your charged heavy in
3:00 my favorite way of dodging this is with raptor of the mist, and it’s incredibly easy too. If you want to use it, you just dodge by using the audio cue. Wait one second after you hear that whistling noise stop, then use the ash of war
thank you, when i finally beat him it felt bad because he didnt do many dash attacks and it felt like i got lucky, now i can practice and feel good about it, ty
2:28 when he lifts his hand up, you can actually get a hit in during that wind up, but your limit will be around a greatsword or great axe For the meteors, it's actually better to just jump to either side. And for the clone follow up to the meteors, run away. It works better if you had made enough distance from the initial meteors. For the leap and vertical slice, I'd say its still better to run than to roll. This avoids the issue of midrolling not being enough for these specific attacks, as mentioned in the pinned comment. As for the clone attack going straight in front, you can keep lock on on him and run right instead of rolling, which in my experience works better. And lastly, you can follow up with an attack after every single of his basic combos. Although for that the limit is like a rolling r1 of a colossal.
in that combo 2:28 exactly after 2 swings (2:32) you can hit him 1 time and insta dodge big two-handed ground attack and then throw a 2 attacks to him, so that combo allows to hit him atleast 3 times (i do it with great katana so its a slow weapon). Thats doesnt work with UGS weapons like berserker's sword. USE IT GUYS this one helped me a lot. THAT WORKS IN 2nd PHASE TOO!!!!!
I’ve found that instead of dodging into him to avoid him pulling up the ground at 2:42, you can just run around behind him rq to be able to barely squeeze in a 3rd hit
phase 1 you can also dodge the double swipe attack he's on a little bit of an elevation. the flame attack can be dodged by just rolling every move and either walk behind him after the swipe (you can get a light attack in) or roll it. if you're a bit to his left, he can miss the stab. the scream attack can be rolled in any direction if you're far away from him. he could also use it while you're out of his range at which you don't even need to do anything. if you are pulled in or close already, you can just roll the slam or if you're fast enough just run away and jump, however the follow up gravity shockwave can be dodged by just running or rolling it 3 times. if he does the dash attack at the start of the fight which he has like 80% chance to do, you can just roll it and get 3 light attacks or more from anything less than a greatsword, or light greatsword. 2:29 roll the first 3 attacks either to the left or right, you can get a light attack before the ground slam (or up to a L1 from double katanas after rolling but the timing is tight) then roll the slam, and either run behind him for up to 3 light attack or 1 heavy. alternatively if you're not fast enough you can just roll away or behind him preferably to dodge the shockwave. 2:46 if you're close, roll the slam, then roll his lift up as both of those can hit you. run away from him in a straight line, if you're fast and he's not close to the edge of the arena to begin with, you can just keep running and the rocks won't hit. but make habit of either rolling or jumping at the last second to the left or right. in the video he just rolls but that can be inconsistent depending on how far away you are from him, how far away he was from the edge of the arena before he takes to the sky, if any of the rocks end up in the walls of the arena and at which they won't come at you at all. I've had him send 1 rock at me as all the rest would start flying towards me from inside the wall and they'd just get destroyed. phase 2 after you run away from the massive aoe, run back towards him immediately to reduce his chances of using long range bs. most of his combos for phase 2 are the same as level 1 so dodging them would be the same. preferably you dodge to his left all the time and stay close to him to avoid the holy damage. he has this attack which he can use in both phases where he swipes both swords 3 times. the last attack has enough delay to get a single hit on him then roll. 3:40 the final shock wave is dodged after a slightly longer delay than in phase 1, super important to learn its timing. 4:02 you're doing too much. just run to the right and wait for 4 clones then roll towards him. 4:24 again, doing too much. no rolls needed like that. after dodging the rocks exactly like in phase 1, you keep running but this time away from him. his clones won't reach you but you need to time his attack after 4 clones, roll in any direction then the same delay for the after shock which is again, slightly longer than phase 1. 5:09 again, doing too much brother. if you're close to him, which you should be for most of the fight. just run inside him. he will miss hitting you every time. you won't need to roll or dodge anything. 5:29 if you don't react fast enough, you can just dodge every attack, including the double swipes with one roll for each attack. the double swipes are dodged with one roll as well. 6:04 just run in his opposite direction or as far away from him as soon as he lifts up. no rolls needed.
Feedback from me: before the "dodge this dodge that" there is an extremely important thing: recognising what he's about to do; that's what you missed. The only time you mentioned it was "when he raises the sword above his head" (or something), that's the best piece of info. Basically, before dodging him you must know what kind of attack you're dodging.
The clone attack at 5:00, his body has no hitbox it's actually the blades which damage you on the side he's holding up the blades, so dodge into his light form body which has no weight to it and just sit there or to the other side of him entirely. Also for the meteor attack you can just run left or right and jump when the meteors are about to hit to dodge it as well - not sure if the jump is required but I did it every time in case. Also if you get pulled in his second phase he will do the gravity aoe, which you run back from, jumping might help; but he will repeat it as well by going into the air, coming back down with 4 fakeout clones while lifting his blades, then finally do the gravity aoe again so you run backwards/run & jump backwards at this time as well. Also the three rolls method for the meteor is what I used sometimes but you can also just completely run away to the edges or far from your initial position and it won't hit you I believe, though I'm not sure exactly how & when he decides his landing spot on that. Also if he goes into the air with no precursory move to slam down with clones just run left or right to dodge clone strikes and watch for a 1-2 or 1-2-3 combo coming out.
I think the main issue in this boss is that when we players panic in phase 2, we start to roll backwards. In my playthrough, that’s really a bad idea because of the light show. Hugging him to the left or right made phase two as simple as phase 1. One useful tip is to use hefty rots or malenia’s aeonia. He is one pot rot. At least while you are focus on dodging, you get some damage in. Easiest way to do that is when he does the spinninng slam. You can run away from him to trigger this. 2-3 rounds of rot plus your damage at the end of each combo will do the trick. You can also use uplifting aroma to protect yourself from the arena blast and meteor strike on start of phase 3. No need to run far. For the normal meteor strike where he jumps in the air and throws rock at you, you can just run left or right and then jump at the last instance. I get repeatable results this way than using double dodge. Anyway, good luck tarnished! Give him the hug he wants. Oh by the way, easy cue of the hug, listen to the armor clanking. That’s your signal to dodge. :)
5:00 the clone attack if you are close to him you can just move toward forward right and he literally wont hit you with that, if you want you can roll back at the very last second and run to reduce distance with him
The problem isn’t even the attack windows, felt like Rellana had less yet she was more fun (in my top 3 Elden ring bosses). This guy has an attack that requires the stars to be aligned to dodge for some reason (the double swipe x attack) and the pillars of light in the second phase make it so that it’s impossible to tell what the boss is really doing while also staggering you if they hit you. Overall arguably my least favourite rememberance boss in the whole DLC which is really disappointing with how amazing Gael was in the ringed city DLC
@@shade0636 most of his openings are for light atks which wouldn't be a problem but he is tanky, like a lot tanky. Do you think now that you put the hours in you'd be comfortable with taking him down another time? I'm currently about 5 hours in, Phase 1 is fair and I enjoy it but phase 2 is tough, like the poster above said I'm not sure what attack he's about to do. My timings are off at the minute so there is room for improvement but I'm hoping it clicks.

2:46 a consistent way of avoiding this attack I found for medium (and probably also heavy) load builds is immediately running backwards, and jumping to the side as the meteors will hit you, the same timing you would use to roll if there was only one meteor. I’ve been doing this while helping people and it didn’t let me down even once, and the timing is quite forgiving despite how it looks in practice
Thanks for the guide. There are at least 2 more attacks that are not here. One of them I’ve only gotten once in about 100 attempts. He charges his axes, and does a multiple-spins jump attack towards you.
I think people are aware by now but this ttack right here 5:00 Has no hitbox If you stay still underneath him. You can notice the Tour character fades through his body as he becomes light at wich point you can just *~Do Nothing~* and you'll dodge him. PErfect time for a chug
6:00 ok hear me out, when he did this move and fly to the sky you can just stand still and buff what ever you want, 1 or 2, he will always shows up in the dark area of the sky, on top of the dome things, when he strike, roll 2 times and get 3 free hits, only if anyone has video showcase it (no clue)
This video will be helpful for some players, but its not an in depth guide. You dont even explain all of his moves. Also its on light roll, which makes a huge difference for a boss like this one, yet you never mention it. Besides that, the explanations are clear and i really appreciate the subtitles
Great guide, gonna be very helpful for my rl1 run. Side note at 2:39 you actually can fit in an attack instead of waiting with Milady. But it HAS to be a rolling light and the timing's pretty tight.
The problem with that left>right swing is that 90% of the time the player ends up slightly or even completely infront of Radan even when constantly dodging into the sides of him because of how movement behaves while locked on. I think that one move can objectively be concidered "artificial difficulty" due to how conditional its dodge conditions are in order to successfully dodge both hits (you have to happen to be on either side of Radan when the attack starts). I saw Ongbal dodge both swings while infornt of Radan by doing neutral dodge into buffered frontal dodge but that is extremely difficult to pull off (try if yourself and you'll know what i mean).
2:40 for the attack here, If you dodge to his right side you can actually just walk around him when he slams to the ground and you can get more hits or a better hit as opposed to need the Dodge and then get it hit him.
This is helpful but I think it should be mentioned some of this can't be done with medium rolls. (Meteorite shower, signature meteorite attack at the end for example)
thats my bad yeah i shouldve mentioned, light load is a requirement!
light rolling is not required for this boss at all.

@@tortoise-chanidk where you got that info about charged r2s but its false
I love how bright his attacks are i hope they make them brighter soon
lmao
😂😂😂😂
I hope they also make it so the game lags more whenever he does any attack whatsoever
Well I got news for ya 😅
Taking notes ;-; thanks
same
I saw you running with a heavier equip load than usual. It's much easier with a light load + crucible talisman. You'd do the same to him as you did to Malenia. lol
ofc anytime
No way!,
you can do this man
That follow up attack after the meteor shower in phase 2 is the bane of my existence
Can this be done on medium load?
@@SaxSlaveGaelyes…
just start running away the second he goes up into the air, then right before the rocks hit you jump and dodge to the right.
Sorry if I don’t reply quickly, I’m in between attempts myself.
the bayle of my existence
Awesome guide. I just want to mention a few things that can help with consistency if you are doing no hit:
Not sure why this is the case, but from my testing it definitely helps
This can help upkeep the poise damage you deal and keep it from resetting.
holy yap😭
@@Blveman damn my bad

good luck, I'll be at least 300 times more, and I'm using mimic
@@RH-cr9gg killed first with dex fag, and 2 days ago STR build NG+3 character with only scadutree level 12 😄
First time might be hard but it gets easier so fast
@@michaeljohnston8891 i'm trading my goddamn lifespan every time i'm not hitting him on an opening dude
Unfortunately colossal swords don't seem to be able to use those openings so when he does the longer combos he basically recovers all of his stance.
@@spod5849 I beat him with a cold GUGS with Chilling Mist. He only has a few combos where it’s safe to go for a charged heavy, so I relied on frost procks and tanking his defense to get in solid damage
@@michaeljohnston8891 yeah i noticed, i feel like they need to patch him, only boss so far that feels inconsistent
never though a guy with a dapper, handsome voice would teach me how to fight the bane of my existence
Thank you so much for this, concise and to the point. After countless tries on NG7 I finally got him tonight after watching your video. Absolute king
you missed his phase 2 gravity blades attack. In addition to the usual starcaller cry followup, he will also jump up and send 3 clones to cross slash you, and then he will delay his own cross slash and gravity blades. He does this if you're too close after starcaller cry, and it's borderline undodgeable it feels like
It's not undodgeable, this video proves all of his attacks can be dodged with light roll. You just gotta figure out how to do it
It's dodgeable with light roll at least, but you have to spam roll backwards like 10+ times in a row
thats why i said dodge back for all the screams, he will literally never do the attack. i will upload a short on how to dodge it though, thanks for the feedback!
just don't get pulled by the gravity pull. also don't be near him, even if you don't get hit by the pull if you're near him he will still do the follow up gravity sht
just sprint straight backwards you dont even need to roll besides maybe the first gravity blades i usually jump those
Holy c**p thank you.
While it still wasn't a no hit for me, this guide made my second killing of him much less painful. The clones were what kept getting me in phase 2, I feel a bit more confident dodging them, and for future attempts where I might actually stance break him.
Sub earned forever.
thanks man !!!
Watching this after I got lucky enough to finally beat him so I know what I should have done 😂.
Also I like your voice and commentary. Calming and enjoyable, I look forward to your future videos.
the commentary sounds like a troll but it’s actually got the gameplay to back it up. honestly amazing video
“It feels icky” its a video game brother. Nobody cares how you beat it.
I appreciate showing the kill but cutting out any final dialogue/death animation for those who haven't seen it yet. Good luck to everyone!
Instead of learning to use shields I just learned to roll Phase 1 and tanked a few hits with the Great Stars so I could get 3 lions claws off which breaks his posture+critical hit.
good job gang, u did it !!!

It's okay man, we get it. Just let it out. It's behind you.
I don't comment often but I'd like to say that thanks to your video and tips I managed to finally beat Radahn !
So a big thank you from France !!!
ur a goated teacher
Phenomal video. With some stuff I just couldn't figure it out myself, I finally beat the boss in a "legitimate" way (no summons, no cheese etc)
Thanks a lot man.
Bro, your knowledge has helped me beat this battle. From one tarnished to another, I thank you.
Such a godawful boss i can even comprehend how it made it into the release version
The slo mo shots are really handy. I mainly use fist weapons so i tend to get greedy with the sheer dps they can have. That is what gets me killed. But this guide will really help.
yep, glad i could help, gl !!!
for the move at 5:02. if you are close enough, you can just *walk inside of him* and sit there until it ends, as his physical model turns off(?) for a second. it won't damage you.
Bros voice is relaxing as fuck, also thanks for the help, was having trouble with hitless-ing this boss
For anyone who does want to avoid the triple-slash frame trap more consistently, you can either parry it with the new deflecting crystal tear or backstep it with the new fine crucible feather talisman.
parrying is easier for basically every single one of his moves but i assumed the reason people were here is to learn dodge only
Parrying and deflecting is for sure consistent but I would argue that the roll strat is just as consistent.
For the attack in 3:53, you can just run right and then dodge the fourth slam
I beat this boss.
Im not doing it ever again either
Youre a saint for this though.
Also, when he goes for the big overhead slam into ripping the ground up, you can sneak in a light attack with a faster weapon like milady and dodge the slam and quake before getting your charged heavy in
oh for sure yeah, idk necessarily cr2 but i usually get l2s w piercing fangs or normal r2s off, i just r1 spammed for ease of understanding
For the first clone attack you also dodge forward twice and punish it
3:00 my favorite way of dodging this is with raptor of the mist, and it’s incredibly easy too.
If you want to use it, you just dodge by using the audio cue. Wait one second after you hear that whistling noise stop, then use the ash of war
thanks for this video bro, all the videos i have seen wasn't good like you did i really appreciate
I've beaten him, not no damage ofc, but I still watched this video. Very informative and now I understand what I was doing wrong. Thank you
thank you, when i finally beat him it felt bad because he didnt do many dash attacks and it felt like i got lucky, now i can practice and feel good about it, ty
2:28
when he lifts his hand up, you can actually get a hit in during that wind up, but your limit will be around a greatsword or great axe
For the meteors, it's actually better to just jump to either side.
Thank you for the amazing guide.
in that combo 2:28 exactly after 2 swings (2:32) you can hit him 1 time and insta dodge big two-handed ground attack and then throw a 2 attacks to him, so that combo allows to hit him atleast 3 times (i do it with great katana so its a slow weapon). Thats doesnt work with UGS weapons like berserker's sword. USE IT GUYS this one helped me a lot. THAT WORKS IN 2nd PHASE TOO!!!!!
This helped me complete my own hitless run, leaving this comment as thanks.
I’ve found that instead of dodging into him to avoid him pulling up the ground at 2:42, you can just run around behind him rq to be able to barely squeeze in a 3rd hit
phase 1
you can also dodge the double swipe attack he's on a little bit of an elevation.
the flame attack can be dodged by just rolling every move and either walk behind him after the swipe (you can get a light attack in) or roll it. if you're a bit to his left, he can miss the stab.
the scream attack can be rolled in any direction if you're far away from him. he could also use it while you're out of his range at which you don't even need to do anything. if you are pulled in or close already, you can just roll the slam or if you're fast enough just run away and jump, however the follow up gravity shockwave can be dodged by just running or rolling it 3 times.
if he does the dash attack at the start of the fight which he has like 80% chance to do, you can just roll it and get 3 light attacks or more from anything less than a greatsword, or light greatsword.
I've had him send 1 rock at me as all the rest would start flying towards me from inside the wall and they'd just get destroyed.
phase 2
after you run away from the massive aoe, run back towards him immediately to reduce his chances of using long range bs.
most of his combos for phase 2 are the same as level 1 so dodging them would be the same. preferably you dodge to his left all the time and stay close to him to avoid the holy damage.
he has this attack which he can use in both phases where he swipes both swords 3 times. the last attack has enough delay to get a single hit on him then roll.
I'm going to try all of this because I am a light load person myself, great tips
Feedback from me: before the "dodge this dodge that" there is an extremely important thing: recognising what he's about to do; that's what you missed. The only time you mentioned it was "when he raises the sword above his head" (or something), that's the best piece of info. Basically, before dodging him you must know what kind of attack you're dodging.
the way you talk is really charming haha
Love the car seat headrest pfp by the way
peak seat headrest,,,,
me: ok i got it
30 min later: totally forgetting all the dodges to do
The clone attack at 5:00, his body has no hitbox it's actually the blades which damage you on the side he's holding up the blades, so dodge into his light form body which has no weight to it and just sit there or to the other side of him entirely.
5:00 the clone attack if you are close to him you can just move toward forward right and he literally wont hit you with that, if you want you can roll back at the very last second and run to reduce distance with him
Umm guys, I killed him after 30 hours, and I don't think this is a very fun fight. Like the atk windows are just so small
I thought it was a great fight. The openings are plenty if you position yourself next to him to take advantage of them.
@@shade0636 most of his openings are for light atks which wouldn't be a problem but he is tanky, like a lot tanky. The fight just keeps dragging on and the ground slam combo, he doesn't even finish most of the time.
I really want to like this fight, man I really do. Thts the reason I spent so much time fighting him, otherwise I'm not above cheesing
@@afterbyrner (Proceed if you want advice on visibility issues with the pillars of light)
The pillars of light aren't really an issue for visibility if you rotate around the boss as you roll. If you roll to the left or right, you'll already be clear of the pillars before they appear.
As for the 2nd phase, double gravity smash.
You need to run away and jump twice when he pulls up the gravity rock. It isn't mentioned in this video.
2:48 You can also jump at the last second, which works on medium or heavy load.
So glad the algorithm brought me here. Subbed, great video!!

I absolutely loved this battle and it was my favorite FromSoft boss ever, but there was moves I def struggled with for subsequent runs or if I ever want to try and no-hit him, so this is very helpful.
You're so right, I'm here for the double slash xD I've already done him but I'm seeking perfection now to try a 0 hit run and that attack is the one I need answers to :)
criminally underrated video good job man wow
Love this video, AMAZING! WOW
You can also jump away to avoid the follow up attack to the purple vacuum.
5:30 this move you can simply dodge his third and forth move with 1 roll, and fallow by 2 rolls to dodge his fifth and sixth move
Thanks for the guide.
There are at least 2 more attacks that are not here.
One of them I’ve only gotten once in about 100 attempts.
He charges his axes, and does a multiple-spins jump attack towards you.
his 1-2 double slash hits me every time.
I think people are aware by now but this ttack right here 5:00
Has no hitbox If you stay still underneath him.
Thanks. There were some dodges I was able to intuit, but needed some work on the others.
glad i can help
the atack that Radahn rises his weapon, at 05:27 it´s so easy to dodge that his character change his gender during the attack.
it was a pain forcing him to do a specific attack at that rl1 so I js grabbed an old clip from day 1 of dlc
"Just dodge, bro" fr though insane skills man.
thank you !!!
Very cool guide, this should help with my martial arts run. thx
Great video mate!
This video will be helpful for some players, but its not an in depth guide. You dont even explain all of his moves. Also its on light roll, which makes a huge difference for a boss like this one, yet you never mention it. Besides that, the explanations are clear and i really appreciate the subtitles
"Dont panic, DO NOT panic"
- well there goes my chances of defeating the DLC
Great guide, gonna be very helpful for my rl1 run. Side note at 2:39 you actually can fit in an attack instead of waiting with Milady. But it HAS to be a rolling light and the timing's pretty tight.
arigato for the guide ivy san!
This is really helpful, thank you!
Thanks dude, appreciate the video 👍
I hope this doesn't sound strange, but you do have a nice voice. Thank you for your video. I'm going to try this later!
omg thank you 😊😊
2:47 the meteor attack you can actually dodge and run to his under and dodge the meteor with 1 roll and get 2 free hits
2:40 for the attack here, If you dodge to his right side you can actually just walk around him when he slams to the ground and you can get more hits or a better hit as opposed to need the Dodge and then get it hit him.
great guide i beat the boss in 10 attempts thanks to it
Man I just beat him today, I could have used this guide the past few days! I’ll be referencing this again for next time!
How well does this guide translate for mid rolling?
This dudes voice sounds so good ngl
Thank you very much, the first 3-hit combo made me suffer too much, I will apply it to move it to level 1 ;)
