I'm so happy Mattel put out a Barbie like 199. I know they reuse certain face sculpts or they are meant ambiguous with an ethnic background because it's a lot easier for those who collect and play with them to project with them. It's great, it *should* be inclusive. However, I *rarely* get to see a doll that looks like a darker/tan Asian and doesn't have stereotypical "East Asian" features and 199 literally looks like so much of my Filipino relatives and family friends it's a little crazy. I've been met with so much, "You're not Asian, you don't *look* Asian" in over 30 years of life that it gets demoralizing and weird, so being able to see a doll like that feels like getting seen in a small way!

I still think it's funny that the barbies in wheelchairs have more movement then the ones that aren't.
Unfortunately, you have to pay for the movement.

Of the last 2, 200 looks like Cher and is giving wonderful Native American vibes with those cheekbones and the other doll reminds me so much of Malibu Barbie. I think it is the eyebrows.

I'm definitely getting Fashionista 199 on Amazon next month for Christmas, and she's going to get a Made To Move Body. I recently found a Tall Made To Move Basketball Player at Value Village a couple months ago, and I kept her as a Body Donor.
I would love a real adult size version of the outfits mini Toya was wearing! The pink snowflake and the blue snowflake. They are so cool!
I like the face on 199 best. I love the cheek bones on 200 but, the jaw makes her head/face seem huge.

I hope the Ken's end up on the shelf too. I've named Man Bun: Reggie and the one with the Twists: Jerrell. I think the Barbie Looks doll with the braids may be a suitable body donor.
I like the Ken's now they look so much better then the ones in the past.
Both dolls are super pretty! (199 is a lil' bit prettier, but I'd keep both, too)

The wheelchair dolls having more articulation is funny to me. I waited 4 months for a mtm but it was out of stock. Ended up ordering a wheelchair doll and works just as well. Why cant they just add that articulation to fashionistas, so there’s diversity AND movement
I would like to see different body types for Made to Move Ken dolls like we have curvy, tall, a d petite Made to Move Barbie dolls.

I solved the shiny eyes, lips, make-up, face, etc. with a coat of mattifying nail polish. It works quite good for the camera!

These fashionista lines are getting better! The Outfits look like they have an actual theme and look much more put together than previous lines! I also love that we have a Barbie who is more flat-chested with more muscle and we have a doll with braces! I hope you will look at the doll with the hearing aids soon!

199 looks great on the Tall basketball player body too!! The blue top doll .. definitely wasn't a match for 200 😳. She is wayyyyy more tan.....going to hunt a body for her.
I love the face on 199, she looks very fresh and youthful. Number 200 is also beautiful, but yeah, she looks a little more mature. She could be the mom and the other one could be the little sister or daughter? Maybe both need to stay on the doll shelf bc they are very different. Those dresses they modeled are gorgeous!! 😍 But if I could only get ONE doll, I think I would pick 199. After reading some of comments it looks like some of us are curious about what would happen if you sprayed them with Mr. Super Clear. Maybe on a random doll head, just to see how it goes...? If you mean in person, when you look at the face, instead of seeing clean, smooth lines, it might look a bit blurry, like if you zoomed in too far on a picture. 😊

200 is such a pretty doll. She looks to be older than the average barbie mold, which could be nice for group shots or for more mature fashions. I feel like if she makes it to the shelf she will have a more experienced, mature air to her, a breath of fresh air to the near constant hustle and bustle of the rest of the shelf model dolls.

I really like the electric car, but I do wish the decals had already been put on it. I don't remember ever having to add decals to cars before. And the hollow mirrors make no sense, either. I'd personally attempt to fill them in in some way. Loving the new dolls! Can't wait to find them!
