THIS IS LEGIT THE ONLY QUEST IN THE WHOLE GAME THAT REQUIRES LOOKING UP A VIDEO. Also the fun thing is the water is from the Vespa lake and the river that flows out from it. This is the best video

i recommend getting the frog at hulloagh pike river area in the daytime cus at night cus of level 40 red giants kept spawning every i get close to the frog dunno i about daytime though but it be safer

The only possible way to find naturally is to get to get this quest early in play through and stumble upon the frogs during exploration and side quests. I think the devs meant for this one to take weeks
