A simple piece of string pinned to corner of folded fabric OR centre of whole circle, tie pencil/marker to end and you have a compass Just make sure you pin is firmly in fabric. If you have cardboard cutting board even better pin can stick in it. My mum taught me to use tape measure pinned to fabric so you had measurements on it. Later I read of folk who found it easier to cut string. You see garden landscapers use string and spray can to create circles and semi circles using same principle.
Thanks. This was really helpful. I have to ask. Is one of you standing on something or is one of you kneeling... or is there just a 4 foot height difference between the both of you?
+Erin M Try starching the fabric before the folding process. Then add a few more pins on either side of the cutting "line". I hope this helps. Thanks for watching
normally old ladies are shit for teaching about sewing but these two old birds actually helped me out a lot. thanks ladies, make sure you put your wrinkle cream on next time though.

so for a 15 inch circle just fold my fabric into quarters, and mark 7.5 inch marks right?
Thanks for sharing the perfect information,God bless you 👍👍👍👍
thank you. of course I have all those templates for circles and to lazy to get them when I need them
Great video, thank you :)
I shared this on Pinterest, thanks
how do I save this specific video in my library?
I feel stupid. I know this but never even entered my mind. My circles were uneven just from my hand shaking a little going all the way a around.
This technique never works for me. The bottom layers always shift and so I don't get a nice circle.
