@@ColorGirlQuilts How do you spell Cassandra’s last name, I really would like to research her more. I would love to learn more about using your rulers, and what she has shown is the technique I would really like to learn.
@@ufoquilter86 She is Cassandra Beaver, her design company name is My Not So Dramatic Life. She has many wonderful patterns -especially good paper foundation piecing designs!
Hi! The fabrics themselves are so beautiful, with bigger and bigger motifs of all kinds it is a great way of showing them off. I finally found a reason to cut them up! Thanks, I am a colorful quilter & love your patterns as well!
I found that I can cut on the original lines for concave and convex, and the circle, and the frame fit together perfectly, it’s just not the size you expected. It’s a little bigger.
Thank you so much. I’ve been looking at Cassandra’s blocks and trying to figure out how she was doing this. I love the ruler and look forward to trying this technique out.
Could you share a more complete set of instructions for how to modify the Color Girl ruler? I’m a little confused about where to position each piece of tape. Thanks.
Hi, Pam, thanks for your request, I have posted on my blog close up pictures and a little more explanation of the tape placement here: colorgirlquilts.com/2019/09/full-circle-hack-a-closer-look.html
Hi, Patricia! I apologize, I'm not sure what you mean by runner. Do you mean Ruler (autocorrect error?) ? It is the Classic Curves Ruler, and you can order one and get patterns on my website, colorgirlquilts.com Thank you!!
For those of you not familiar with the Classic Curves Ruler, find it and patterns here:colorgirlquilts.com/product-category/classic-curves-ruler Learn more about it and see how it works here: colorgirlquilts.com/2017/06/cutting-classic-curves-ruler.html
There will be a 1" difference in the total diameter between the circle insert and the background "hole" fabric. This accounts for a 1/4" seam allowance all the way around. You won't need to do any figuring, though, as long as you cut with the same groove (eg. 6") and line your fabric up with the convex lines on the ruler for the circle fabric and the convex lines for the background hole.
I keep trying to watch the video entitled, "Classic Curves Ruler Tutorials" but the video about sewing full set in circles starts playing. I have tried is several times and cannot get the tutorial video. Please help!
So creative! I like your runner with the assorted fabrics!
Very impressive circle work! Love that all raw edges are enclosed. Thanks for filming the expert and her technique, and sharing with us.
I love this! I will be doing this soon. Have to get the ruler.
Love it! Just what I’ve been looking for.
Love it! I may not try this yet till I have made few more quilts. I am a new bee and just looking for ideas. This is just wonderful!

Thank you, Elizabeth! glad you liked it, aren't Cassandra's blocks amazing?! It really IS doable (-:

Is there a link to the lady in the video that shows how to make that set in circle with all the fun circles?
Love the tutorial. Would you share location of the runner you demonstrated? Thank you.

Also I am not quite sure if the circle are a 1’ or 1/2 difference in radius?
it is a 1" difference to account for seam allowance on a full circle.

What is the name of the ruler she uses?

it is the Classic Curves Ruler. You can find it as well as patterns here: colorgirlquilts.com/product-category/classic-curves-ruler
What a bummer that the demo was filmed with a phone. Slight motion sickness and certainly not the same level of quality we are expecting these days...
Your videos must be much better then!
