Great video! I also ran into the 'add water' issue and it was persistent. I ended up just pressing the 8 button again while the 'add water' light was flashing and once it ran, the add water light stopped flashing. Thanks for the video! Very much appreciated

We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

I bet hundreds if not thousands of Keurig owners have disrupted it's logic to their frustration getting the descale light to dim. I have very hard water so descale q3mos no matter what the light says. The first couple of times I used diluted vinegar. Had problems. Then bought a descale solution and had problems again. Light didn't go off. Illogical. I think it needed more rinsing before descale light would go off; so now I just keep refilling and flushing. After I use my second bottle, I'm going back to vinegar since my machine apparently prefers to flush excessively. Your videos are direct and very clear. Really appreciate that Dad. Thank you.

I followed your procedures to the T, but with my K express once I lifted the water Reservoir threw everything off. I am so happy. I saw your whole video now I know that the next time I do it, I won’t lift the reservoir. I’ll just fill it up and I’ll go through because the light did not go out. This video I know will help feel more confident descaling mine when it demands I must. The add water glitch glad you covered it, just in case. But today when descaling an older model that at times the add water doesn’t turn on at times I have managed it by cleaning the part that should sense it with an old electric flosser. Or just adjusting the reservoir. My normal means wasn’t working. So I googled it and found 5 ways to get it to work. The one that worked was my turning it off. Filling reservoir halfway. (I turned it back on but think instructions that wasn’t the next step but it worked for me.) THEN holding on to then Keurig and SHAKE IT 10 to 20 seconds to release the air lock. Made me think about your video about the light here made me think air in it somehow. Sounds good to me. Light glitch not turning on or off sounds like pretty much the same solution, the shaking the only difference. Thanks again.

Oh my god thank you for this video! I had a total mental breakdown because I couldn’t get the descale light to go away. I learned something new about my keurig. I was about to throw it in the backyard and burn it I was so frustrated.
I purchased this machine at Walmart in November 2022 about a year after this video was made and Ive only use Bottled water in the machine. It is now April of 2023 and my descale light came on. I followed this video and also the manual and everything went perfect. I didn't have the glitches you had in this video and I believe the people from Keurig saw this video and other video pointing this out and fixed the problem. My only question is the manual says to go straight through this process without stopping and the directions on the descale bottle say to leave the solution and water mix in the machine for 30 minutes before you run the straight water rince. I did it the way in this video like the manual. This confused me a bit.
Yeah, me too. It does not hurt to stop for 30 min and let it rest. I have checked this and it will stay in descale mode. So, as long as you don't take it out of descale that would be a better option

Hi Ana. No you don't have to descale it before you use it. Only when the descale light flashes or just comes on. It is under the " add water" light usually. If you use it a lot the descale button could come on; I think after about 200 brewed cups. I just followed " "JUST A DAD" ONLINE Video a few times. He takes you step by step. I bought the $5 box and did the whole cleaning process with packet solution and 2 cups, plus all the tank rinsing but did not do it in descale mode since none of what was in/on the box told me too? 😅 So days later light is on still/I give up. So after seeing this vid, I put into descale mode and use 1 full tank of water (8oz rinses) and light is now off! That’s all it needed was a confirmation check! Thank you so much!!! Bought mine during Black Friday deals online last year on Walmart.

Mine finally kicked the bucket last night. Decided to try the Bodum coffee pour over. Man, I am never going back to a k cup machine again for at home. So much better flavor and cheap. Yea I'll still use at work but not at home. If you never had coffee from a pour over like myself till today do give it a try. Thank you so much for doing this video I've been trying for a year-and-a-half to find a video like this to show me how to clean this particular Keurig machine and get the descale light to go off and you're the first one to ever explain it correctly I just get it I had the same problem you did that the ad water late wouldn't go off after I added the Clean Water I did it like five times and then I finally just gave up and push the eight the light went out and it went through the rest of the descaling mode thank you I've been trying to get that light off for a year-and-a-half two years and I had to clean this Keurig in America which is funny cuz I use it only to make iced tea and I put the axle bag right in the the thing
Hello there!! Just wanted to thank you. I didn't have any issues with mine. I was able to descale successfully! I appreciate this content very much as I am not handy with flashing lights, etc... Oh, and I rinsed the water reservoir and filled it once I placed it back in its spot. I didn't disrupt the descale mode and continue running 4 times the 8oz button for the lights to all come off. Once again, THANK YOU!! 😊
Really appreciate the video! I had the same problem with the add water light not going off. I had to press the sensor button at the bottom of the reservoir insert with my finger to make the light go off.
I had an issue with the add water light mode as well. After a few times of putting the water reservoir back, the light went out. Thanks for your helpful video!
I noticed while I was following along that my dscale light button was solid and not flashing. Once I figured out that it had to be flashing everything went fine. So if you notice your descale isn't flashing While you're doing this process just hold the 6 and 10 again. Thank you so much this video was awesome

I did the same steps on my first machine but I did one more brew because it had some of the solution and I didn’t want to waste it .. that was the mistake This time if followed your steps and poured the rest of the solution and continued the steps and it worked 👍

Yea I'll still use at work but not at home. If you never had coffee from a pour over like myself till today do give it a try. Thank you so much for doing this video I've been trying for a year-and-a-half to find a video like this to show me how to clean this particular Keurig machine and get the descale light to go off and you're the first one to ever explain it correctly I just get it I had the same problem you did that the ad water late wouldn't go off after I added the Clean Water I did it like five times and then I finally just gave up and push the eight the light went out and it went through the rest of the descaling mode thank you I've been trying to get that light off for a year-and-a-half two years and I had to clean this Keurig in America which is funny cuz I use it only to make iced tea and I put the axle bag right in the the thing

Hello there!! Just wanted to thank you. I didn't have any issues with mine. I was able to descale successfully! I appreciate this content very much as I am not handy with flashing lights, etc...
Oh, and I rinsed the water reservoir and filled it once I placed it back in its spot. I didn't disrupt the descale mode and continue running 4 times the 8oz button for the lights to all come off.

Really appreciate the video! I had the same problem with the add water light not going off. I had to press the sensor button at the bottom of the reservoir insert with my finger to make the light go off.

I noticed while I was following along that my dscale light button was solid and not flashing. Once I figured out that it had to be flashing everything went fine. So if you notice your descale isn't flashing While you're doing this process just hold the 6 and 10 again. Thank you so much this video was awesome

I did the same steps on my first machine but I did one more brew because it had some of the solution and I didn’t want to waste it .. that was the mistake
This time if followed your steps and poured the rest of the solution and continued the steps and it worked 👍
I did the same steps except with vinegar the cheaper solution and it worked for me , thanks for the steps

Thanks for this video. I use it every time for the last 4 times I had to descale the machine. I appreciate this. I usually do the descale with vinegar. It works fine and the same way. I don’t want to spend money on that descale solution when the vinegar is like $1.50

I had the exact same glitch with the add water. I tried to do what you did but didn't work. I ended up just pressing down where the water holder goes and it worked :) thanks for your guidance!

This is an excellent video thanks so much just a dad I'm a fan, something i figured out though is that on minute 9:19 the add water light doesn't have to come off, just press the 8 button and continue with the rinsing process
