The dynamic of the 2 Joes is just so good. The way the 2 of you bounce off of each other makes for some of the best content in yugitube.

@@zephshoir It does. Armedes was the objectively best play, but I can't blame him. It was such a dynamic thing to do and it felt so safe.

When the bottomless hit the Grapha I screamed! Can't believe Joe got greedy. That synchro 5 was custom against all the cards Joseph had.
i mean, it didn't matter that much. joseph has battle fader on hand and if joe missequenced, which he probably would on that situation, he was still going to have to wait more than a few turns to have a good chance for game.
@@KuroeNezumiNot really. Armedes makes it so that your opponent can't activate any cards or effects until the end of the damage step when it declares an attack. That also includes Battle Fader. MBT wouldn't have been able to activate Battle Fader when Armades declared an attack. It was the safer play for sure, but I can't blame the guy.
This only works if you attack a set card with an 800 atk monster, which is legitimately even more greedy than the BRD line.@@NovusIgnis
Plus it would have prevent him from activating sangam which means no rank 3 and no dowered. No resources.

It's a good thing MBT Strategically waited for Hardlegs turn so he could take back his play of leaving Trance on field, that way he could special summon Zeph on Hardlegs turn, technically bypassing the Duality restriction :D

That last game was amazing, having bottomless for Grapha gives old Hardleg the moral victory.
i feel so sad when hlg removing that lvl 5* synchro to make black rose. That 5* synchro can solo mbt whole deck 😭

I like how Joe asks whether he has a Lvl 3 Tuner for Black Rose and then immediately skips over the Lvl 3 Tuner in Fire Fist - Spirit
Spirit can only be used to synch into Beast-Warrior monsters, he may have remembered that it has a restriction.
God hardleg won this in my heart, he came prepared, he had the game locked if he just kept armades. This was an awesome series and a hard fight from both duelists

Wow, that last duel was insane. Absolutely lost it when Joe used his bloody Armades as Synchro material when MBT had the Fader. AUUUUUUUUGH
To be fair, I didn't know he had Fader lol.

26:33 I like how Joseph was able to yap enough to make hardleg Joe forget that he used dark world lightning and didn't send snoww so he was able to normal it.
Discarding for DWL is an effect, not a cost. Since BoM was chained, it was face up and couldn’t be destroyed by DWL’s effect, so MBT didn’t have to (and couldn’t) discard anything. The “destroy” part of the effect didn’t resolve, so the “discard” part doesn’t occur.
They played it correctly.

Love seeing hardleg in a series! I don't mind who does it, but I hope at some point we get a ddm series involving rata and/or jimbles. From what they've shared of their interests in non-ygo video games, it's a perfect fit, and they'd make for great (hilarious, entertaining, not necessarily good) tag partners, especially if they're drinking like most of their streams.

this is a really cool series, i just wish i had friends to play this with :)))
I just played one of friends in zexal right now. We played a best of 5, only made it to four rounds. My deck was a mix up of four different things, but my ace was Stardust Spark Dragon at first, which one over his insect focused deck. Game two not much changed except my focus shifted more towards zombies and lavals, where I sorta bullied him.
Game three I forfeited cause he forgot to build his extra deck, and I wanted a real fight... plus I felt bad.
Game 4 was brutal though. I got him in a position where he was forced on the defensive with Phantom Knight... something I dunno. It was a level three tuner that could be treated as a non tuner, and Jinzo on board. Next turn I popped down plaugespreader and summoned Star Eater. He tried so hard hard to out it... but I just brought Jinzo back with Call of the Haunted and he couldn't out either in time.
So next time we play I get to be the dungeon master, yay~
