seeing towers back in the day always felt like the way blue eyes was supposed to feel, just this huge unkillable dude who stopped whole strategies in their tracks
Imagine the entirety of DM but Kaiba plays Qliphort instead. Everyone else has DM decks and Yugi still somehow wins
Blue Eyes Tower Dragon when?
@Kusanagi-no-Tachi that's what chaos max was supposed to be, but that clearly didn't work out.
@@spagoongus140 Nah Chaos Max is a house not a tower.
@@ashikjaman1940 Kaiba would be palying full powered pre-Link Rule Qli while Yugi would play Gadget/Geargia and Atem plays Magician girls
Apoqliphort Towers should've been the template for the Egyptian Gods with how much immunity to effects it had, it felt properly insurmountable
Based
I feel like Darkly Big Rabbi deserves a honorable mention, I mean that thing is a main deck monster that have an infinity attack.
reformed rabbi Bill Clinton
My favorite Exodia retrain (which isn't even part of the Exodia/Forbidden One archetypes)
Yes, but will that unlimited offensive force withstand my book of moon?
I know that Darkworlds are focused around their new fusion now, but OG Grapha was a helluva card when it was released
He still is 😎
Fuck grapha
Yeah, but ideally, you'd be summoning multiple of it to make Rank 8 bosses like Felgrand Knight, Overlord of Heliopolis, etc. Not actually using the monster itself which, at best, was a Vanilla Blue-Eyes while on the field.
MBT: It's unfortunate they don't really make cards like these anymore
Vanquish Souls: Allow us to introduce ourselves
VS Kaiser Varius looks like Cosmic Garou from One Punch Man
Machina ruinforce: did somebody say "retrain of all time?"
@@darklewd9844 Susanoo from Blazblue manages to be closer to Kaiser Varius than Cosmic Garou
The real boss monster in that deck is just flipping TCBOO
by the nature of being based on versus fighting games no single monster can really be called a boss. they are all on equal footing
holy shit dire did it. she was able to make this a video
yall forgetting my boi Crimson Nova The Dark Cubic Lord
Is a towers, 3000 atk that easily gets thicker, does 3000 effect damage to both in the end phase, can attack twice if it destroys a monster by battle
Can't tell you the amount of times I've slapped Nova down and proceed to watch the opponent active 5 different monster effects trying to out him. IP into Knightmare unicorn is the most common, but the funniest is when they sorta read Nova and try to out him with accesscode and then get even more confused when it doesn't work.
Lmaoo
Crimson Nova is a heck of a beatstick
Master Hyperion for the Agents. Searchable, easily summoned, double pop on a 2700 body. I was able to pull this back out at the start of MR 4 for awhile years after it was "relevant" and compete well at regionals and locals.
so its just like dad
I agree with the final statement. I feel like, in general, archetypes should have a Main Deck boss monster. Not every deck needs it, but it would be cool to see a comeback of the mechanic. I feel like Springans Sargas is a good example. He's not necessary to a Springans end board, but if he's there, you get one more possible interaction on the turn
I still think Towers is probably it
Towers is affected by link monsters so his power level has gone down significantly
For it’s time, yes, however as others have stated it has been power crept. I don’t even run a single copy in my 2023 Qliphort deck. Not because it’s not strong when you actually get it out, it is, but you have to design your deck entirely around turboing it out turn one which limits the space for floodgates and hand traps that you absolutely need in modern yugioh.
@@calebnarsh8459 Yea in the modern game its shit but like
In terms of the entire game historically
Towers is the one that set the standard by which all other bosses were judged
@Taksa Rawdpai yeah master peace is probably the best towers ever
...wait
Just drop a rock on it
Vanquish Soul Kaiser Varius is another great addition to the line up of main deck boss monsters. His design is also great.
Saw Towers in the thumbnail and thought we got a Qli TMT in the year of our lord 2023
It could probably do okay because nobody would be prepared for it, and Link monsters aren't all king. Plus you can do it in 4 to dodge Space Rock
I wonder what modern Qli support would be like
Bars
I also really like when they make Maindeck boss monsters that just suck ass even in archetypes after the 5D's era. Like have you seen Metaphys Executor? One of the worst boss monsters I've ever seen in a deck that already has issues lol. I think that sort of design is pretty funny and adds character to the game
Executor feels like one of those cards that fits into a category of "How Konami intended the deck to be played vs how players actually played the deck." Should have just been banish 5 from hand field or grave. Allow duplicates, allow from the hand. But they fucked it up
Surprised the two iconic Chaos Bosses (Emperor Dragon and BLS) weren't there. I'm assuming they just weren't shown since they are obvious. La Jin and Summoned Skull might also need a shout out as the very early beatdown era strats.
4:22 BLS is in the thread. Probably just got edited out of the video
CED wasn't much of a boss monster as it was a GUN. You never got to actually see it on the field for a full turn, as the game would already be over by main 2 lol
@@The_Vanni I'd say a card that makes a game-ending impact counts, and the vibes are certainly there (even though you don't get to experience them for long).
This is, of course, talking about the original version.
@@xCorvus7x well then, is exodia a boss monster? Lol
@@The_Vanni The idea behind that win condition is that the five pieces combine to form a big dude whose power literally rivals gods, so while none of the pieces fit the bill Exodia himself (?) certainly does; alas, it's not a card, so submitting it would miss the point of the question.
(Besides, CED doesn't literally read that you win the game, that was only how the card played out, just as all the other entries here.)
Spyral Spleeper is a hell of a card too. Especially combined with resort and last resort.
I love immortal Phoenix gearfried, he carried me through the first couple master duel events.
I feel like it’s cheating to mention rituals, but Herald of Ultimateness is one hell of a card
They'rem main deck so not cheating at all.
with a minimal amount of effort that card becomes 6+ negates, it definitely deserves a mention
@@ericwallace1484 what 💀
With Eva around, yeah. Today you’re lucky if you get to 4 negates with drytron and only the perfection
@@Kloudd21 You'd be shocked how easy it is to get to multiple negates still, before I switched to Chaos Max build (Dyna Mondo is a hell of a card) I was playing a build focused on mostly Perfection.
Alpha + Zeta with some other name in hand as fodder leads to Perfection with 2 guaranteed fairies in hand not counting any you draw in your opening/during your turn, 3 mat Apo, I:P, Beatrice and Idaten (there to go into Dyna Mondo with I:P if necessary).
@@mauwus4322 deck list please and thank you 🙏
I'd offer up Vampire Voivode. Summons two from the opponent's grave on summon, and negates effects of monsters in grave.
Nah, dog. Vampire Vamp mommy is the real boss.
@@windknife a person of culture I see
Voivode has a softer version of Called By. Getting hit by its negate when using Ash was a surprise.
@@windknife Why not both? You can always make room for a third, and I don't think they mind sharing.
(God this hurt to write about my main)
My most favourite win more cards in the entre game. It's Normal Summon effect is really devastating, especially if you tribute 2 of your opponent's monster with Zombie World and Vampire Sucker's passive. This you really plus in advantage, and even if they have a floating effect, Voivode can just negate it. Unironically my MVP card in the XYZ event.
I’m surprised it wasn’t there but I’d say Kozmo Dark Destroyer. It’s easy to summon, is untargetable and pops a monster when it hits the field. The pop is so versatile too, since you can do it on your opponent’sturn to stop plays, or do it on your turn to out monsters. Plus, if u already have a ship on field and a pilot, with DD in hand it’s a 3 cn OTK. Sadly it’s peer crept now.
For Rituals it's definitely
Herald of Ultimateness
Both Drytron 4K monsters
Nekroz of Trishula and Ahreadbair
Kaiyru Shin the ocean dragon Lord is a great one. It feels like a boss monster when it hits the field. It becomes the focal point of both player strategy due to its influence.
Not to mention how well it fits the umi archetype. It genuinely feels like the field has been turned into the ocean and that your boss monster gatekeeping the space.
Not the biggest floodgate fan, but man i love this card.
She's definitely not the best - but Witchcrafter Madame Verre is both strong and incredibly funny.
I've got a clip on my channel of this, but one time I had a timelord player attack her only for me to use both her effects and make them dome themselves for 6k.
Witchcrafters were meta in duel links but then again lots of things have been. Although they also won an unlimited tournament there so that is a stand out achievement for the deck.
I'm trying to make a Witchcrafter deck in MD
@@crunchy687 Yeah, I feel like the main point of duel links is to give decks that didn't get much play a time to shine.
The main funny thing though is Witchcrafters released in paper in 2019 and were put in Duel Links, a way lower power version of the game, in 2020 LOL.
Witchcrafters are my main deck and Verre is absolutely one of the best boss monsters in the game. I think she's one of the best-designed Yu-Gi-Oh cards in general: a powerful negate that actually requires strategy within the archetype (which card to discard, when to discard, etc). Not only that, but the battle effect is hilarious. I completed the "When your opponent's monster attacks, your opponent takes damage" secret mission JUST from people crashing into Verre.
@@MoskalMedia People not reading verres battle effect and killing themselves gives me life honestly LOL.
I agree though, she's fair for a skill drain on legs in that it's only a single burst of negate - so you have to save it for big threats or key combo pieces which makes it much more scary to use.
I would like to nominate Ocean Dragon Lord - Kairyu-Shin because despite what mainstream media would have you believe, it IS more than just a floodgate! It searched the most broken continuous trap as well as one of the all-time greatest normal traps!
Also it's a floodgate :)
Elaborate
I'll always have a spot for odd eyes advance dragon. In duel links it was an easy level up reward, and was my favorite tech pick in Superheavy Samurai. Also looks dope af.
Towers was what the Gods should have been. He is literally the definition of boss.
Kuriboh is the one true boss monster. What kind of monster would ever attack something so cute? It's the perfect protective effect.
Not Marshmallon?
Superheavy samurai stealth ninja: you're right, we cannot, but how about i attack you directly instead? *Twice*
I consider the entire archtype being boss monsters, but I'd like to mention Kamion specifically since it's a spell speed 4 removal of any card your opponent controls
Aquiphort Towers
Gren Maju De Eiza
Jinzo/Dark Ruler Ha Des back in the early days
Black Luster Soldier - EotB for early days as well.
Cydra: .......
In no particular order, towers UCT and master peace are probably the best answers. There was a lot more variety in this list than I thought tho!
Alongside Citadel, I also really like Ruinforce. Very beefy at 4600, with a battlephase omni negate that also cuts LP in half, this card can 1-shot on its own if the opponent doesnt read. Also it can create swarm combos if its destroyed by effect, which you can just pop it off with citadel or air raider :)
Going in, I'm saying Balor (Balerdroch). Negates monsters anywhere AND banishes from field or GY *without targeting*, but keeps coming back so your opponent can't just out him ONCE.
Mighty master does everything a boss should do all at once. He negates, boardwipes, has target/destruction protection, and searches once in a while
Master Peace is probably power crept enough at this point to come to 1, but I’ll never forgive him for his crimes
He's...still pretty strong
Having said that, we can skip straight to unlimiting him
Didn't MBT do that during one of his big "unban" tournaments? Although I think that the consensus wound up being that, rather than Masterpeace being the issue, it was him unbanning like half the draw spells.
@@DoctorOaks some pretty cancerous boardstates can definitely surround master peace tho. Like skill drain
@@DoctorOaks more like the master peace win con is floodgate that ppl unprepared, the draw engine make the deck way too strong that it should be
I’m really surprised nobody said Kozmo Dark Destroyer
Yeah me too honestly
Someone did, MBT just skipped over it.
Drytron Meteonis Draconids is a 4K beater that can attack multiple times and has multiple target non destruction removal on a quickie. Shame it got overshadowed by Herald
He protecc he attacc but more importantly he flips your monsters on their bacc
Machina Citadel my favorite card of all time!
I'm surprised Crimson Nova didn't come up as it does kinda autowin against a ton of decks, at least those that don't play much backrow
It's not really a cubic boss though is it, it's just its own thing
@@manjackson2772but he sort of is A cubic boss. Sure Trinity is THE boss but Crimson is the actual good boss monster in the deck. And thats the one people build the decks around so id say ye hes the main boss monster of Cubics
I remember seeing Crimson Nova mentioned in the thread, but it didn't make the final cut of the video it seems.
Every single "Can't believe X didn't come up" comes up. They just get edited out, even if Joseph does goes into detail and has relevant comments about them, as it was the case for Crimson Nova during the stream.
6:55 unironically the best part of playing dinos, being in a gamestate where its almost unwinnable, opponent has 2 negates on 5 bodies but only like 2000 lp and you have at least 2 dinos in game, then topdeck the UCT innate summon it doesnt create a chainlink so opponent just doesnt do anything and you kill everything for game. Absolute fucking anime level win feeling.
Gren Maju won a YCS in 2019 I think around before Striker Orcust became more prominent.
Lava Golem, Chaos Sorcerer, Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End, Vanity's Fiend, Majesty's Fiend, Vanity's Ruler, Dark Necrofear, Armed Dragon Thunder Lv10, etc.
Doomking Balerdroch is a bonkers boss monster. Makes me wish he got a synchro variation. Also just…more starters other than Uni-Zombie.
Im amazed King Regulus wasn't brought up
That's because he's a part main deck boss monster
Honestly most people view him as : "oh yeah, earth machine has a judgement now"
Agents hyperion is still kinda main deck boss monster. Only recently with the release of pluto and the sycro hyperion are there more boss options.
True Draco Master Peace is by a mile the most broken boss monster ever created as it cannot be affected by card types (monster effects, spells, traps) and pops monsters on the field. Just a crazy design and I wonder, what were they thinking by creating that card?
Nobody mentioned this but block dragon is the honorable boss monster of adamancipator, I'm speaking as an ex-ada player.
Although the Deck itself isn't that strong, Ancient Warriors Rebellious Lu feng ( Lu Bu) is , in my book considered to be the main deck boss monster for the archetype. Easily searchable, just summons itself when it see any ancient warrior monster, has a Quick Effect Pop (which allows Majority of your Ancient warriors to activate during your opponent turn) and it is high beat stick.
Master and later Majesty Hyperion are my picks. I love pulling out Master, Master Flare and Majesty for a clean 8k lethal after banishing 5 and clearing everything. Sometimes all you need is 1 big dude, 3x.
That outro is truly one of a kind
It’s truly hurts me to know there isn’t enough love for Kozmo Dark Destroyer. 😢
As a Witchcrafter player I can say Madame Verre can slow down games like no one else, a quick effect full board negate is really powerful in spite of almos always negating a single monster
"I wish they still made cards like this"
My guy, Jioh came out in Photon Hypernova
Vernusylph goddess came out in POTE
What are you on?
Yeah, the reality is that there's more main deck boss monsters than people actually give credit to, it's just that they hyperfocus on the flashy extra deck spam decks and think the whole game is like that when the reality is that there's a huge variety of strategies.
Good to see Balerdroch and Citadel mentioned. Ruinforce is up there too. BTW, the big dragons of Dragoonmaids count?
Yes, their a negate, a revive. Sadly the archetype is mediocre and plays rely on normal Aleister.
I dont think the big dragons count, the boss monster of dragonmaids is sheou and/or house, the big dragon versions arent the win condition of the deck
Citadel and Ruinforce being discard cost, gy recursion, and game closers:
*RUMDIDDLY-DUM-DUM*
UCT itself, brought me back to Yu-Gi-Oh! I hadn’t played since 2007 and I watched a CIMOOOOOOO video about how you could buy three of them and make a competitive deck and I did and I cannot tell you how many games I have one off the back of UCT. The artwork is immaculate, and the effect is dominant. it really is one of my favorite cards.
Although the one card nobody plays when using live twin (curse you Sprights for stealing a cool solo archetype) their main deck boss monster always deserves a spot when playing them cuz how fun they are
My pick is Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. In Edison Format he is THE heart and soul of Disaster Dragon and you can argue he's the boss monster of 2012's Chaos Dragon deck as well. In Modern YGO just a an extender for Dragon spam but when he first came out the gameplan of summon REDMD, get him to stick and win off the back of summoning dragons turn after turn was legit. Still is in modern Edison.
Blue eyes jetdragon is another great bossmonster its easy to bring out protects the field and bounces if it attacks or gets attacked i love this card
I just fucked up a Runick player with double Jet Dragon, it's actually really OP, they kept trying to destroy my cards and couldn't, it really helps that nobody respects Blue Eyes players enough to read their cards.
@@DaDualityofMan yep very true i play blue eyes in like 3 different ways blue eyes dogmatika blue eyes syncrocat and a dragonlink version too its just fun what you can do with good old blue eyes love this archtype
I really hate Jet Dragon, haha. As a Blue-Eyes fan I love it, but playing against it in Master Duel is such a nightmare. I lost a duel with my Marincess deck because I misread the card (thought it only bounced monsters!) and they bounced my Battle Ocean in the battle phase. Devastating!
@@MoskalMedia I hate Marincess because you guys take forever, a funny game I had against Marincess was I spent all the time watching them combo off into the boss monster only to Skill Drain and Successor Soul it and my Jet Dragon
@@DaDualityofMan Haha yeah we really do take forever. I accidentally lost a long duel against a Hero player last night in Master Duel because I hit the time limit! Oops.
I'm impressed you pulled off an awesome Successor Soul move! I'm glad I didn't have to go through an experience like that, haha
Alghoul Mazera can be pretty crazy. It can save your monsters from destruction without starting a new chain, then summon itself to the field every turn. Used it against an accesscode destruction effect and my opponent was so confused bc accesscode can’t be responded to under normal circumstances.
I will proposeAncient Warriors - Rebellious Lu Feng" as as an honorly greatest boss monster. I can't in good conscience out him on that list because of two glaring flaws, but first the good. He's a free special summon for Anceint Warriors and he has a non-targeting quick effect monster destruction effect. Why I can only put on the honorable mentions list, is because firstly, you can't activate any monster effects other than Ancient Warriors if you want to use his effect. :l So got to chose between handtrapping or his effect. Secondly as his name implies he switches sides if you don't have the highest monster on field. If only he would allow for the use of other monster effects than I could put him on this list, but alas.
Mementoal Tecuhtlicah Combined Creation is a 5k ATK and DEF for Mementos that goes crazy and is surprisingly easy to summon if you know what you’re doing. Funny main deck boss monster.
Chirubime Princess of Autumn Leaves, Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei, and why not, Awakening of the Possessed Rasenryu. Or maybe just Aria the Melodious Diva.
Surprised nobody mentioned Infernoid Onuncu and Devyaty. Black hole and Heavy storm on legs, they can come back pretty much every turn and they are negates that banish on top of it!
I'm not shocked no one mentioned Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes. Big pain to get out, used to be a big pain to get rid of, if not outright impossible.
Unaffected by spells, traps, and monster effects. Cannot be targeted by those effects. Has an alternative win-con built right in. Usually will have about 4000 attack. Can revive itself if it's destroyed by battle.
0:26 i love that meme reference
If you ever see someone whip out King of the Skull Servants in a duel, you know you’re in for a good time.
I swear skull servant players are the most chill people in Yugioh
Witchcrafter Madame Verre is such a good card. You would think that people would read, but they just see the word "negate" and think that's the only effect. My favorite words when playing Witchcrafters are "damage calc?".
Infernoid Onuncu. I know Tierra is bigger, but a 3k/3k that's a Heavy Storm on summon and a walking Spell Jammer is pretty dope. Dude won me many a locals in SECE/CROS/CORE formats (I went to Majespecter/Performage, then Odd-Eyes Magician in DOCS).
I still have to laugh during one of the Master Duel events I went up against someone playing Kaijus with Waterfront (obviously). They thought they had the upper hand when they Kaiju'd me... by giving me Gameciel... while Waterfront was on the field with 5 counters. Then they summoned Dogoran tried to nuke my board just for the Gameciel they gave me to negate and banish it.
Does block dragon count. If not, for your consideration: orbital hydralander. Not the strongest but definitely the coolest mechanical design for a main boss monster
I wish more pendulum decks had maindeck boss monsters.
Abyss actors, Solfachords, dinomist. There's soo many but the thing is pendulum just isn't that good apart from Endymion pendulum is sort of seen as the weakest mechanic
I've been getting into playing Solfachords lately, and they're very different from the boring old too often seen [Endymion Magical Beast] and [Odd-Eyes Pendulum Magician] decks. Those two just vomit their hands, 1/2 the main deck, and a good portion of their Extra onto the field turn 1 to end on typical boring boards of multiple negates.
Solfachords play Pendulum in a much more control style. Using Pendulum as an actual summoning mechanic to create infinite materials over multiple turns, while being back row light enough to be able to play other control things like Torrential or Solemns or And The Band Played On.
The fact Solfachords can somewhat easily make a full 6 mat Arrival @Ignister is just icing on the cake. (the main deck Solfachords are the elemental attributes, several other pend staples like Darkwurm/Gate Zero/Astrograph/Beyond are Dark, and the Solfachord link 2 and ME-PSY-YA are Light; I also have Zefra Metaltron for an easy link 3 with three down arrows that also happens to be Light)
I also happen to enjoy the fact they don't share levels (thus exclude XYZ), have no in archetype Tuner (thus exclude Synchros), and no in archetype fusion effect (thus exclude Fusions). They hinge on Pendulums and Links exclusively, and I happen to enjoy that far more than most other decks that are just "spam materials to make the same bunch of overpowered completely generic ED monsters every other deck makes."
@@LadyTsunade777 I play abyss actors. I love them for the simple fact that stealing monsters is my favorite gimmick. My first ever deck was a dark Necrofear deck and it uhh wasn't very good I loved using fiends and tried to play D/D/D but it just felt too stale. Abyss actors having soo many fun gimmicks with evil heel reducing attack, comic relief stealing cards, Superstar wiping the field with abyss scripts it was probably the most fun I've ever had with the deck.
@@Honest_Mids_Mashereven compared to ritual? I know ritual has had more meta destroying archetypes come out of it but thats mostly because those cards were poorly balanced and designed. Ritual as a mechanic is way weaker than pendulum
@@EXFrost IMO at this point with how many good generic ritual engines/support cards they have I'm actually thinking it's in a better spot. It's definitely on par with rituals though in terms of strength.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned Kairyu shin.
Flodgate lord or vanilla?
@@idosarts_and_krafts Floodgate lord of course
@@sacrilegiousboi117 I figured
Nobody mentioned it but... Witchcrafter Madame verre was actually a very difficult card to deal with when witchcrafters first released. She negates all monsters your opponents controls once per turn as a quick effect and could randomly gain several thousand attack and defense just cus.
Main deck bosses are so satisfying, they do need more love.
Also, I'm happy me and the Endymion gang got him in the video! He's too much fun.
New Endymion support when?
Doomking Baledroch made me love using Zombie decks
Rad, I made it in
I shill Jioh to my friends a lot, and it's the closest I've gotten to convincing some non-YGO players to give it a try, just because of his facedown effect, god it rocks
Light and darkness dragon, if memory serves me correctly, was a shonen jump magazine exclusive.
Gusto Sphreez. It's literally the only way to win in this deck, and it can pull weird wins against 90% of the meta
I'd also like to add darkest diabolos to this list. Fills pretty much the same role as Baledroch for other strategies.
I'm going with Evil Twin Ki-sikil & Lil-la. It's a 4400 attack monster that is easily searchable and summonable with Trouble Sunny and works as an Evenly Matched if your opponent has more than 3 cards on the field
Mermail abyssmegalo, Therion regulus, nekroz of trishula, and the tribute floodgates like vanity's fiend and vanity's ruler all deserve an honorable mention I think.
Eyyy I got a feature match in Bochum playing Gameciel World Chalice. The winner of that YCS was playing World Chalice with the Kaiju stuff side decked.
Bit late to the party, but it feels weird that Grapha wasn't mentioned at all. Dark World was a meta contender for most of 2011-2014 and it's mostly because of this card. Removal, a big body and enables a surprisingly strong grind game.
Probably a weird one, but I would say Lightpulsar Dragon can count since it set up other Chaos cards while in the GY, is a Chaos card himself, and can bring back a higher level dragon when sent to the GY, usually REDMD
Soo not only is lightpulsar a card with no archetype but if you include lightpulsar in chaos it works as an engine card and not as a boss monster. I mean you say it set up for redmd which is obviously a maindeck bossmonster. But lets stay with chaos monsters. Why wouldnt you bring up Chaos emperor dragon or chaos dragon levianeer? Dude your name is chaos magician how about Dark magician of chaos another one.
I've never been featured before! This is so cool!!
Surprised he didn’t mention Superancient DeepSea King Coleacanth.
That monster is literally +3 on monster effect activation, a SOFT once per turn, can bring out a field of material for extra deck summons, and whenever new fish support is released, people check to see if it’s compatible with the king.
Just a shame the best card that searches him is a battle trap’s GY effect.
Yeah UCT would be my shout. Stupidly easy to summon (funny side note, I was having huge success with it in Tear)
3500atk let's it attack over basically anything, has a form of removal and can wipe ur opponent's board.
Nemesis Protos (and brother) are indeed part of the "nemesis" archtype which do indeed mention each other.m, so yes he is THERE boss monster.
The next dino support is an example of extra deck boss monsters which proves his point
I'd also throw in the Ogdoabyss, specials itself by getting its engine going, it's a board wipe that sends, and it's got 3100 attack just to bother people
Any of the main deck Dino’s. UCT, Lithorgasm, Misc, Ovi-Wan, any of the babies, and the PANK TANK
Endymion really is super effective against people who refuse to read. I was at locals the other day and activated his pendulum effect to summon and destroy. My opponent Impermed me. I said, “Sure. But that doesn’t stop his spell effect to summon and destroy.” Felt so good.
I really like boss monsters that aren’t just huge chunguses, like all your investment goes into a 1000atk thing with an extremely interesting form of interaction, like magical musket has the lv8 guy but the real boss is max, same with stuff like MER or Zeke.
REGULAR SHOW INTRO. I love it.
How had Nobody Mentioned Pre-Eratta Chaos Emperor Dragon? Yata Lock aside, that thing was a Game Ender on it's own. There's a Good reason why it was Banned for so long until recent years compared to his counterpart, BLS.
Chaos emperor dragon envoy of the end was something else
I love and miss main deck stuff. I enjoy having decks that can just play the game and rarely look at the extra deck or use it but its not 100% or scoop.
The greatest Main deck boss monster is obviously the Divine Serpent Geh. Not only do you get the privilege of sacrificing half of your life-points to summon him, but in exchange you get a snake of infinite proportions! He permanently negates anything he attacks too! Truly, why wouldn't you adore such a lovely and generous divine snake?
And yea, part of the reason i find generaid's fun is that it's just "Oops! All boss monsters!"
Interestingly enough, most modern main boss monsters are searchable one way or another to keep up with the ease of accessing Extra Deck bosses. Hell, a card like Chaos Space has even made many older boss monsters (DAD, BLS, Chaos Sorc, JD) searchable now, compared to the good old days when even a deck as impressive as DAD returns could wait a significant amount of time to bring in its biggest threat.
I use Immortal Phoenix Gearfreid in my noble knights deck, super easy to get out once it's in your hand
Yoo the regular show intro, the best intro by far
