what sevika did with finn (the tattooed guy who betrayed silco) was so clever. she could’ve killed him at any given point, but she decided to let him believe she’s in on the plan and do it in silco’s office. “were you tempted?” -“not for a worm like him, but he won’t be the last.” she orchestrated the entire scene as a warning to silco: get your act together, or i might leave you for someone more capable, just like i left vander for you.

That's also why Silco was genuinely worried in that scene: she told him she was not gonna betray him and they were going to handle it that way, but he had to accept the risk she would really kill him. Makes Silco more human AND badass at the same time (not saying he's not a bad person, don't misinterpret what I mean).

If you (and others) are interested in my (very long) interpretation of Jinx's "Last supper" :
The whole scene is a series of tests for Vi (and only Vi) and she failed. Vi is the only person who truly mattered to Powder. Her whole world was centred around Vi and the others were only background characters in her life. The unresolved conflict between them is what tortured Jinx since her sister disappeared. She felt guilt for the death of Mylo, Claggor and Vander but it's nothing compared to the pain she felt about Vi.
Jinx starts the scene with two lines about death "I really thought I buried this place" and "Nothing ever stays death". Jinx is haunted by the voices of death people : Mylo, Claggor and Vi. She then tells Vi that she created Jinx, not Silco. If you rewatch the first part with this in mind, it becomes obvious. Jinx is strong, ruthless, extremely proficient with her gadgets and she hates topside. Exactly what Vi taught Jinx she needed to be (from her point of view at least). And Vi apologizes, her first mistake. Jinx is proud of her strength. She's not the weak girl that everybody bullies any more, she knows how to defend herself. Even though Sevika isn't afraid of Jinx, she was still unable to avoid being captured and rendered powerless by Jinx. Vi tells her that the only thing that kept her going is the thought of getting back to her. That's a lie, she though Silco killed Powder at the end of episode 3. What kept her going is her hate for Silco and her desire for revenge (which completely blurs her judgement).
Jinx lights the candles, revealing Silco. He's gagged, clearly Jinx doesn't want to talk to him. She calls him a liar and a traitor, she's really not on his side. She brings in the plate and Vi believes Caitlyn's head is under the dome (fun fact, Caitlyn is sexier in the flashback than she was in the original scene). Jinx is disappointed by Vi's reaction, she failed another test. This was a peace offering from Jinx to Vi because it represents the two things Vi wants : a cupcake (Caitlyn) and the gemstone. If Vi hadn't reacted that way, I think Jinx would have freed her and let her leave with Caitlyn.
Jinx brings Caitlyn and makes it even more clear what she wants for this whole interaction : resolve the conflict in her mind once and for all. Vi has already rejected Jinx twice now so she offers to bring Powder back (which is is impossible since Powder is part of Jinx and she can't erase all her trauma). But Vi has to make Caitlyn go away like she was getting rid of the monsters who scared Powder when she was a kid. This is a call back to episode 8 when Vi talk with Caitlyn about her little sister and how they invented monsters. Jinx sees Caitlyn like a monster and she doesn't understand why Vi isn't chasing her away. She represents everything Vi hated in the first act : a wealthy enforcer from Piltover. Jinx understands that Vi loves Caitlyn ("your girlfriend") but not why. She gives her gun to Vi but I don't think she expects Vi to pull the trigger, just to say she will get rid of Caitlyn.
Vi almost saves the whole situation by offering to leave with Powder. She makes it clear that all she really cares about is her little sister. You can see how much trouble there is in Jinx at that moment. She finally get what she wants ... and Vi ruines it forever. "You'll never have to see HIM (Silco) again". Jinx doesn't want to never see Silco again. He has always been good to her, he's the father she wanted (but not the father she needed). Jinx finally realises that Vi has projected her hate of Silco on her the whole time. That's why she can't call her Jinx and can't accept her.
Jinx removes Silco's gag. Vi failed to win her sister back, maybe Silco can ? And his first line is exactly what she wants : "her name is Jinx". He says it with rage and anger, because he knows how painful the situation is for his daughter. Silco has projected his own insecurities on Jinx because they share the same trauma. Vander never came back to him, even when he offered him to fight together once more. He truly believed Vi wasn't coming back for her sister and that Jinx would be extremely hurt like Silco was. He sincerely tried to avoid her to suffer again. And in a twisted way, he was right : Vi isn't back for Jinx and she caused immense trouble to her. He reaffirms his loyalty to her and that he will never betray her. Objectively, Vi betrayed Powder once (the whole episode 3, not just the slap at the end) and Jinx twice (when she left the bridge with Caitlyn and when she told the council who's responsible for the attacks).
And Caitlyn intervenes. She was kidnapped by a terrorist who wanted her love interest to kill her, there's no way she doesn't take the opportunity to get a gun and defend her life. Jinx isn't angry or scarred that Caitlyn is pointing a gun at her, she looks annoyed and tired. She hoped she could finally get her sister on her side and now she's event more confused. Like at the end of episode 7, she wants to die and end her suffering. You can hear the voices is her head say "It's time to leave them". She raises her gun, screams but doesn't shoot. She fully expects Caitlyn to kill her and is utterly confused when it doesn't happen. And she finally understands why Vi loves Caitlyn and why she will never accept Jinx : Caitlyn is a good person. Even when face with her mortal enemy that she doesn't believe could be redeemed ("she's too far gone"), Caitlyn doesn't want to kill. She's the opposite of Jinx. And Jinx realises she can't be that person.
She reacts with rage and Silco's voice isn't helping. But Vi has still an influence on her and she uses it to reminds her of her trauma. She doesn't know that she's mentally torturing Jinx. Silco does understand and he tries to end her suffering by killing Vi. He missed but Jinx doesn't. She killed her father again. But this time, she's not blamed. Silco's the only person who forgives Jinx when she messes up. In episode 4 he's mad at her because she consciously made a bad decision (attacking Piltover) but when otherwise, he's never angry at her and forgives her when her trauma kicks in. Because he understands what she went through, he never wanted to add more trauma to her. In his dying breath he wants to make sure she's aware of how much he loves and that he forgives her once again. He even goes one step further and tells her she's perfect. Not Jinx, not Powder, just her. Whoever she had decided to be, he would always have been on her side. The voices in Jinx's head disappear and she finally looks calm. The choice was made and sealed. She's not just a jinx, she's Jinx. And she accepts her fate.
Her speech at the end is just a recap of her relation with her sister :
"I thought you would love me like you used" = Powder used to be Vi's priority and she would have done anything for her sister
"Even thou I'm different" = Vi told Powder that her difference makes her strong (episode 2) but now Vi reject how she changed
"But you changed too" = young Vi would never love someone like Caitlyn
Jinx doesn't kill Caitlyn because it's useless : she can't get her sister back anyway. She picks Fishbones, her rocket launcher. It's a gift she intended for Silco : the weapon that would ensure Zaun's independence. It looks like a shark (Silco loves sea monsters) and the left eye is damaged, (just like Silco's). She uses it against who she perceives as her fundamental enemy, Piltover. Topside is responsible for everything bad that happened to her : the death of her biological parents, Benzo, Mylo, Claggor, and Vander, her sister's betrails and the death of Silco. She thinks she avenges his death but ultimately she does what he tried to avoid at all cost : start a war.
It's a mash up of my own thoughts, comments I read and videos I watched. Like the rest of the show, there's so much information crammed in this scene. If you want more lengthy posts, I have thought so much about this show I could write a whole book ^^.

This final episode brings up an interesting detail that helps explain the misunderstanding Vi has about Jinx. In the bar fight, we see that Vi at her low sees a Vander that pulls her up and motivates her, whereas for Jinx the memories of her family is coated in her trauma and overwhelming emotions on the matter. So for the final scene we see Vi try to bring them up thinking that Jinx will have similar reactions as herself, but instead she stresses out Jinx and causes her to be reactive, which in this case causes actions she can't take back.
Also while not fully clear, I do personally interpret that Silco does know how those things affect Jinx, which is why he's frantic about Vi's actions (The alternative take is that he fears losing her to Vi).

    • @berjanbeen7188
      @berjanbeen7188 2 месяца назад +4

I'm not certain about the first. I don't know how well he actually grasps her trauma. Though I do think her reaction might give him an idea.
His fear of losing Jinx to Vi however is pretty much confirmed true. He has people searching specifically for Vi in order to kill her before she can talk to Jinx. And there is a heavy implication from Silco that he had Marcus make sure Vi was dead.
Like Silco genuinely loves Jinx, but she is the only thing he loves and he can't share her with anyone else.

    • @j.f.fisher5318

@@berjanbeen7188that fear of losing Jinx fits into the needs of anxious attachment and border personality disorder for security. Vi wants desperately to have a relationship, but as an avoidant attachment type it will only ever be a want. However much it hurts Vi to lose Jinx, that loss can never feel existential to Vi the way the prospect of loss feels to her sister.

    • @peaceandloveusa6656
      @peaceandloveusa6656 21 день назад +1

About Silco'a motivation for turning hostile at the end, this was *exactly* how I interpreted his reaction. And I think there is plenty in the show to indicate this.
Silco keeps telling Jinx that Powder (her trauma) is killing her and she will never survive if she doesn't "kill Powder" (move on from it). And when she is losing her mind and attacking him, he does not even try to protect himself. He just speaks calmly to her, because he knows she could snap if she perceives his instinctive defensive posture as offensive. There are many such instances where he seems to know exactly how to talk to her to calm her down when she is unstable, which isn't skill you would learn through manipulation, but knowing exactly how her mind works. Also, Vi yells at Jinx multiple times throughout the show and Jinx flies off the handle. But when Silco yells at her and comes at her hostile (when she blew up the enforcers), Jinx does not feel threatened at all. So it has obviously been well established that Silco, even when she thinks he is betraying her, is not a trigger to Jinx. Yet his entire aura is one of violence at the drop of a hat with anyone else. All of this and more points to Silco having a deep understanding of her mind.
We see it again in the picnic scene. Silco's first words upon being permitted to speak are, "Her name is Jinx!" Which indicates his primary source of anger in that moment was Vi's use of Jinx's trauma name. Sure, he is not happy about the situation, but he did not say, "She is lying!" the moment he could speak. He confronting Vi for dead naming his daughter, knowing she ties that name to her trauma.
Silco's next outburst (leading to him going for the gun) is when Vi doubles down on her approach, sending Jinx spiraling into her trauma stated. Again, he didn't immediate go for the gun when he had the chance. He was trying to drown Vi out so Jinx could snap out of it. The classic, "focus on my voice" technique. When Vi still won't shut up, he grabs the gun knowing full well he could get shot for it (again, he knows her mind well), out of a desperate attempt to make the source of Jinx's episode (Vi) shut up.
This theory is further supported by how he handles being shot. He does not blame Jinx at all, because he knew it wasn't her fault. Vi causes the episode. Silco triggered her fight response. Even in his last moments, his only focus was bringing her back down to reality and saying all he could so she did not add him to her list of traumas.
I am not necessarily blaming Vi for being ill-equip to help Jinx, nor applauding Silco for how he handled Jinx all these years, but it is clear (to me, at least) that Vi was harming Jinx, and that is why Silco finally snapped and went for the gun.

Very cool that you caught the "He didn't even haggle callback."
Some may argue with me, but: In the first case, Jayce is being taken advantage of, Ekko charged him double. This time, Jayce refuses to haggle after their initial terms - he won't take Jinx out of the bargain, and Silco totally whiffs on his manipulation skills to get Jinx off the hook.

Vi has had a total of a few minutes with Jinx after 7-8 years in jail. Most of those few minutes were in highly stressful situations. She's not really had much opportunity to understand her sister. Yet, reuniting with her has been her primary motive throughout the season.
An extremely important moment (in my opinion) is handled like no other shot in this show:
Black screen. No visuals or music to distract us, just a little ambient sound.
    "Are we still sisters?"
"Nothing is ever going to change that."
This is the crux of the characters, and a running theme for the show.
In the final "teaparty" scene, Vi affirms that they are definitely still sisters and always will be, she offers to leave with Jinx. Vi might not like how Jinx behaves, but that is secondary to keeping their relationship, I think. That she doesn't know the magic formula of words that would convince Jinx of this is more to do with Jinx's problems, than Vis, imo.

    • @silver9wolf6
      @silver9wolf6 2 месяца назад +9

Yeah, also, it's a great bit of consistent character writing. Vi has never been good with words, especially in high-stress moments. Especially with episode 3, she's probably terrified of saying the wrong thing. One of her more eloquent moments is during one of her most peaceful moments of the show with Cait. Vi is trying her hardest to go 90% but Jinx doesn't know how to bridge that other 10%.
I also understand Vi's hesitation to call Jinx Jinx. If I'm trying to reconnect with a loved one, I'm not going to say, "Hi Failure, I've missed you so much."
I just had a thought! What if in season 2, we learn that Vi's voice of doubt (kind of like Mylo is for Jinx) is Silco? So what she's shouting to Jinx is what she's told herself over and over again in order to stay sane.

I think we also forget that Vi was in prison the entire time Jinx was on her journey. I think her her aggressive nature kind of gives a lot of us a blind sweat that she's just tough so she would be fine and what she became is the natural result of what she seemed to be at the beginning. She wasn't the strongest socially or emotionally cognizant person, but then in isolation had no opportunity to develop outside of her short time reconnecting. The show is a great tragedy. I'll be curious where it goes from here but is so good that part of me also just wants to let it rest in its execution.

Your emotional intelligence is beyond refreshing w/this series. Sometimes I think the only way someone can truly grasp the brilliance of the writing, is if they've endured & healed from trauma of their own, or at least been exposed to trauma of a loved one. The other piece that this series handles so well, is the interplay between privilege, poverty, and politics. The people of Undercity were not lesser than the people of Piltover, they simply lacked resources, and I think the professor was finally onto that. The voice actors & animators obviously sold the story so well, too. Thanks for reacting to Arcane!

Wait i just realized something. In the show vi says powders good with her gadgets which are technology. And vi gift is fighting which is her physical strength. Vi is pink and jinx is blue. When vi gets hextech golves which are technology jinx gets shemer which inhances you're physical skills. Hextech is blue shemer is pink. A little bit of powder exist in vi and little bit of vi exists in power. Like yin and yang. Also vi wearing the hextech can remind vi how powder used to be and shemer can mean powder finally became strong like her hero.😊

@@artxroyalty also arcane did a very good with writing powders character. If you listen to the song get jinx she’s basically Harley Quinn. She embodies chaos. She started off as a kid who had pressure put on her by her friends. They called her jinx because she freaks out under pressure because of how they lived with running from enforcers or getting beaten up by thugs. It’s understandable that a kid doesn’t want to jump roof tops or freaks out and throws bag loot as a diversion. She’s a kid which means she’s not always going to make the right choices. So bringing her along outings was bound to go bad because most people her age would’ve cracked under pressure. So she thought herself as a jinx. She’s clumsy, fast and a kid.
She showed to help her friends because vi said she wasn’t ready. for the first time she’s ever said. She thought she could help because how smart she was. Used that manny gemstones because vi her hero basically was terrified of the monster who took Vander. And everyone is afraid of vander.
So she tried to help. Saw vi in danger and used the bombs. Had no idea that they were about get out. Killed her family by mistake. Silco saw her trauma as something that made her special like his trauma was with vander trying to kill him. But powders trauma was worst. He didn’t help her trauma, he harnessed it and armed her with weapons and combat lessons.
Her fight or flight instincts became sharp senses that help her doge and time her attacks. At the same time she shoots at her enemies and her demons who are haunting her. Also crows always show up when she’s around. Crows symbolize death. She shot a crow. There’s a lyric from the get jinx when she says blow up the sun. That’s chaotic. Her shooting a crow could also symbolize her killing death. Which is also chaotic. And then she was finally given shimmer. Making her stronger and even faster. She is now the embodiment of chaos. And a living jinx

I appreciate that you are one of the few who voiced what I felt during the final climax, that Vi shouting at jinx was exacerbating and escalating the panic and the mental breakdown. It's not that she was bad or malicious, but it just made it so clear that she did not understand her sister and didn't realize she was making things worse for her.
I think it was a very deliberate choice to have her effectively "dead name" Jinx as Powder all the way to the end. Despite Silco being an objectively terrible person, in Jinx's eyes he loved her and accepted her for who she was, whereas Vi didn't. Vi loved Powder, and could not let go of that.

  • @christianschmid1440

Vi not calling Jinx by her real name, but by her dead name is actually really good writing to me. It happens so often every day. People want to help their family members, or friends, or partners and don't see that there is either nothing to be fixed (being gay, being on the spectrum,...) or that is not up to them to decide, what steps need to be taken and at what pace.
Vi is like a mom who thinks of her daughter to be brilliant, and cannot accept, that this brilliance shows in ways she didn't have in mind. Plus, she has been locked away for years. People often times try to treat people they knew in the past, like they treated them back then. That is why we use words around them, we haven't used for years, or act 'more childish' its just hardwired. When Vi sees Jinx she sees the little girl, not the woman she has become while she was gone.
I really loved your reaction throughout :) You picked up alot of what others (me included) might only spot at a rewatch.

    Odd little details.
When Jinx throws the lighter down the table, the "candles" all light, which is kinda strange. However, if you look carefully, they are gas powered, with brass tubes supplying them, which makes it a little more grounded in possibility.
When Jinx carries the platter in, she's wearing both Atlas Gauntlets. The left hand gauntlet glows brightly blue with hextech, but the left one doesn't seem to, so it doesn't have the weightless property they normally do when active - when it failed, it dropped Vi to the floor with its weight, and she isn't weak. I think she could only lift it so apparently easily because of her shimmer - even so, we still see her shake off the strain to her arm once she's taken it off.

  • @midnight1672
    @midnight1672 2 месяца назад +5

What most viewers but also Vi don't seem to realize that when Jinx says "He (Silco) didn't make Jinx, you did." it wasn't an accusation, she was actually crediting Vi for it. As you correctly noted, Vi desperately tries to get Powder back. The only time Vi refers to her as Jinx is when she's at the council, explaining that it was Jinx who committed all the crimes. Like she's trying to preserve her innocent image of Powder. Conversely while Silco initially said "Jinx is perfect" during the baptism scene in episode 5, his last words to her were "You are perfect". Not Jinx - you. His love for her is unconditional whereas Vi really wants to get Powder back.
Now granted, she hasn't really had much chance to talk to her sister and - given the time - I think she could've grown to accept her as Jinx, so I don't want to be too harsh with her.

But starting off that moementary face off between Vi and Jayce. So good when the tension was rising and the other protectors were like, uh... wut? Seeing how the Hexcore has control over Viktor now... Cool that you caught that Jayce was looking at his hammer when Viktor said he has to destroy it. A lot of reactors don't tend to notice or point it out. It's a great moment to show Jayce's mindset with it. Ekko and Heimerdinger are now the best of both worlds. I really like seeing Silco sweating after Sevika made her move. And yeah. The Vander ghost made me cry too. He was such a good dad to them.
The Vi and Sevika grudge makes me feel there was something deeper in their relationship. In my head cannon, Sevika and Vander were the ones that trained Vi. Sevika was more involved with helping create the Underground. So seeing Sevika turn her back on Vander and them was more of a deeper betrayal to Vi.
Great reaction, girl! Who survives? Are they all dead? In my head cannon, I see Jayce, Viktor, and Mel surviving. Jinx messed it up again!

So many threads coming full circle in the episode. Silco coming over to Vander's point of view. Jayce saving Victor like Victor did before. Jayce - after being constantly swayed by what others want him to do - finally makes up his own mind and forges his own path.
But the sisters are both still trapped in that one moment in time and couldn't move forward. Vi stuck with her image of the Powder she once knew. Jinx stuck in that moment where she lost everything and everyone. And when things finally come to a head, Powder once again ends up killing someone she loves.

At this point in time its impossible for Vi to accept her role in the making of jinx, and thats what makes it impossible for her to accept that name.
Even though from Jinx's point of view, it's a good thing, jinx is a coping mechanism for Powder that saved her life, kept her going and Vi's words of encouragement and how Vi always supported her selfdetermination in the past ("what makes you different makes you strong") those words kept Jinx going. So Vi doesnt realize it, but she helped powder survive by giving her the jinx persona that is a coping mechanism for her trauma.
Ofcourse Vi sees the violence and the paranoia and the mental illness within jinx and thinks "ohhh I caused this by leaving her in that most vulnerable moment, I cannot go on supporting the idea of jinx now, it's not healthy"
And maybe it isnt healthy but it's the only way jinx knowd how to live.

If they had shown even a little more, it would have led to something that doesn't have this clear cut at the end. Plus Silco is there on Jinx shoulder and can ask Jinx to kill her with no issue. So yeah, hard to ask of Caitlyn to be reasonable and wait for Jinx to kill her. I don’t fault her for trying to get herself out, but she only made it worse. If someone’s teetering near the edge, it’s not wise to push them over.
Her drawing Jinx’s mini gun resulted in her getting knocked out (again). Now Jinx is not only unstable but her adrenaline is pumping which as a result is amping up the shimmer in her system AND she’s holding this huge weapon now?? I know she ended up shooting Silco in her manic state, but what if she would’ve accidentally killed Vi instead? So, not so much faulting her, just wanting her to read the room and thoroughly assess the situation before acting. As we see, Jinx had multiple chances to kill her yet left her alive.

The reflection at the end, on the gold jewelry, is the reflection from the Jinx rocket. But there are absolutely amazing rescues in this show.
About Vee and Jinx. We have a lot of reasoning and understanding about who they were and who they have become. But here we must take into account the fact that after V's release from prison, the sisters saw each other for only a few moments. Unlike us, they did not have the opportunity to answer this question. Vee had heard a lot about Jinx from the Boy Savior. But how much could she believe him? If the Powder was all she was aiming for? Perhaps she also saw a little girl in front of her who had done something stupid. When Silko is killed, V doesn't seem to understand what's going on at all.
This also applies to Jinx. Maybe even worse. Because Jinx, instead of thinking about her real sister. She had experience communicating with ghostly double in the delusional perception of Jinx's world. Even when she's talking to Vee. It's not entirely clear if she's talking to the one who's tied to the chair, or to the ghostly Vi she's been communicating with all this time.

Yeah, this finale just did hit all the buttons. If they never came back with a season 2, it would have been a *DEVASTATING* way to tell a very tragic story of missed opportunities and misunderstandings... and when I say devastating, I mean that in terms of its impact on the audience.
That dissolve from Caitlyn to her mother--my heart *sank.* They showed us the stakes in that one move and it crushed me.

One of the Best Reactions to this Finale that I've ever watched!, and boy! Have I watched A LOT?! 😂😂😅 ..
You hit most relevant points on their damn heads... Also noticed the inner voices abandon jinx after silco's death, which was a very subtle detail that almost all reactors simply do not notice. Lol.
You know all season she'd been involved in an internal battle within herself with her past mistakes, decisions and demons but at that moment she gives in to fate.
I don't know if I'd describe it as 'self-love' in that moment but she definitely accepts that *This* is who she is😢 and there's really no going back.
    It's Tragic☹️

Jinx is jealous about cait, and believes she's making vi leave her again. That's why she didn't kill her, she needed to see vi kill her so she could be convinced that she matters more than cait. It was just a bad situation all around, i don't think there was anything that vi could've done or said that would've helped tbh, maybe if jinx hadn't let silco talk then they could've just left together.

25:15 This. From all the reactions I've seen of episode 9, most people like Vi still wishes to "get Powder back" but they fail to realise how that's hurting Jinx, even though unintentionally. The way Vi said "It's okay, we'll be okay." I can't help but feel disappointed like Jinx probably felt in that moment, it's almost as if Vi is refusing to acknowledge Jinx as a person.

I laughed so hard the first time you mentioned Powder's bad timing. "You have no idea".
Its a weird meta thing, but I think everyone realizes that Caitlyn has lower character priority than Jinx when she breaks free. Like she is now in more danger than when she was tied up, because she has a gun pointed at Jinx.

Someone else put it very well. "Powder's last act was to defend her sister. Jinx's first act was to avenge her father." The ending of destroying the council is very similar to the end of Vander's rescue. Things were just about to be resolved in a positive way, until Powder tosses a bomb into the mix. She really 'jinx's' things.
One little reference; the tattoos that the girls have. Vie has gears representing Powder and her inventions. Jinx has blue clouds representing the smoke flair that her sister promised to find her with.

The hexcore seemed to pull away from Viktor when he rose the chair to strike it. Also, if it could disable him, it's strange it did it after he'd dropped the chair, and not while actually being threatened. I think there is more to this than we can currently realise.

I get why you wanted Vi to say more, to fight for her sister. But there are so many layers to even that. First of all, look what happened last time she let emotions take control in episode three. Her losing control planted the seeds of Jinx. The next layer is their meeting in the 6th episode. Vi got to see who Jinx truly is. A person who thrives in chaos. That is when Jinx is truly alive, and her sister sees that, and that scares the crap out of her. Then there is that short interaction in episode 7, where Jinx fires on Vi and Caitlyn. The point I am trying to make is every time she opens her mouth with her sister, she ends up hurting her more. So, it is a way of Vi trying to protect her sister. Not a good way, but a way.

The council doesn't care about the Undercity but they're still exploiting them for money. There's a reason Jayce is still making gauntlets to help with the mining xD
Vi has had 5 minutes alone with Jinx, she has literally no way to know how to handle Jinx, Silco is entirely to blame for trying to interfere as much as possible with their encounters this entire time. I think a big element of Vi's struggle (beside you know, only having had a few minutes with her), is that Jinx is *wrong*, she acts like she's turned from Powder to Jinx after Vi left, but that's incorrect, Jinx was already there in the first scene of the show when Powder was like 5.
Powder probably always had issues and they really went to the forefront when the council brutally crushed the rebellion and their parents in front of a small child. (which as a side note means the show starts with the council metaphorically creating the monster and ends with the council being destroyed by the monster they created. They could have avoided this at any point by giving Zaun their independence which they knew they wanted).
But the greater point is that Vi has a hard time marking a delimitation because she can't entirely see it herself. Sure some stuff like the physical violence and all that is new but it's not an entirely new "Powder" that she sees, the mental instability, the attachment issues, the self loathing, the lack of reaction toward violence, Powder had a lot of those same problems and personality traits back when she was a child. So to her the main difference is the violence itself which she attributes (not incorrectly) to Silco and Silco's attempt at interference only reinforce that belief. She can't understand what Jinx means to herself because Jinx herself doesn't understand it
And yeah if Vi had some time, she could get to the realisation that even if Powder is wrong, respecting her wanting to signify a change in identity is better, but thanks to Silco (and Ekko, but I'm not blaming him for that one xD) she didn't get that chance. She has 5 minutes and learning to call people someone new in 5 minutes when people can die at any second is essentially impossible.

The peace council was voting on was never really going to happen - it was all contingent upon Silco giving up Jinx, which he himself said he wouldn't do. Also, the ending is only a sort of cliffhanger. Yeah, the fate of people in that room is unclear but the real conclusion of the season is Jinx cementing who she is and her deciding to pull the trigger.

As such you can watch and react to every episode of Bridging the Rift with no cuts and it wont get claimed. I have seen several peope do it. So you are safe there if you are worried about copyright. The only thing that will get you hit is the music episode that briefly plays Imagine Dragons as they own the copyright to that song and Riot cant stop that hit.

I feel like at the end, Jinx doesn't kill Caitlyn because she's given up on Vi. It's not worth it, anymore. She doesn't feel like she can get Vi back anymore. She probably just felt defeated and numb.
On destroying the council, I think Jayce was getting them to agree to back the deal he'd given Silco, which we know was dead because Silco wasn't going up give up Jinx. I could be wrong though, it's ambiguous and works either way, but those are my thoughts.
Also, immediately after Silco told Jinx that he'd refused the deal because he wouldn't give her up, he told her "They can all burn."

All Jinx wanted was to be excepted for who she is, and at that, Vi failed completely. Most reactors miss that part so it was great to see you hone right in on it.
And "In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good. We have to make it right." is one of the greatest lines ever written.
But the last part of the line usually gets cut off in reactor edits, which is a shame, so thanks for including it. Leaving out "we have to make it right" undermines Viktor's whole character - it's not enough just to acknowledge a mistake.

I have an avoidant attachment style but have tended to get in relationships with people who have anxious attachment. The Vi and Powder/Jinx dynamic is painfully well portrayed. Looking back I can see the kinds of mistakes and conflicts we see between them in the show but in the moment none of that could have occurred to me. I was just so alien to my instinctive way of looking at the world and my connections to others.
