Yes I was the same way, now I'm using filters that appear good to sadly find certain problems with them. The orange can does it's job and sometimes like other filters gets lots of hate.😉
Good to see no tears in the purolator. & i guess the oil is making its way past the louvers. On my '91 mitsubishi v6 with 125k miles that sits for several weeks, i notice that the motor sometimes ticks for a while on startup using 10w30 synthetic blend oil, but not with 10w30 conventional oil! I remember reading that conventional sticks to parts longer than non conventional! I miss Kmart - got a 5 qt jug of motor oil there for $7.49 on sale 10 yrs ago. I miss Bradlees - they had made in america autolite spark plug wires out on the floor shelves for old chevy straight sixes, pontiac hei v8s, etc. Try finding the above at walmart or target or even auto parts stores - out on the floor - even for new vehicles.
Yeah they don't have much out on floors nowadays, they want you to ask at the parts desk so they can give you the wrong part. The synthetic oil moves much better in the cold weather but yes it does not stick to engine parts like good old Conventional oil. My Toyota Previa has over 500k and has always used conventional. Guess it still works good.😉
Still was Frams best filter I have reviewed, I liked using the older ones and the newer ones were made cheaper to move the great filtration to more expensive Fram filters.
Those " Fram " people 🤣
"The Filter kicked the Bucket " The Filter Kicked the Bucket " The bucket Kicked the Filter " 🎵😂
Best song ever😂
No filters Crazy Bill? Now that's crazy....
No filter Wednesday, literally, I don't do vids on Wednesday's.😂
Grew up on the good old orange can Fram. Now I am a sucker for any $12.00 filter.

FRAM Ultra Synthetic is my favorite filter. Rated @ 99% down to 20 microns for $11.

What," Usually Fram people don't keep to a good change interval" I take exception to that remark.
I didn't mean you, I meant other Fram people.😂
But seriously Robert, I did walk myself into a hole there and I apologize to Fram people.😉
Nice video Bill. I’m thinking my high mileage oil conditions the rubber anti drain back valve on my Tech filter.
I still have a couple Tech filters left from when they were on sale. I'll definitely use them up, filter does a fine job.
I would like to see a survey of 100 random motorists how many could name the brand of oil filter currently on their car.
Wow that would be pretty good survey. Good idea.💡
The problem with used oil filters? They're very oily.
Yeah even when you drain them for a week or 2. How to get rid of the oily problem.😅
Fram for over 45 years a d fram for next 45 years
That is fine for many, if they work for you then 45 more years it will be.👍
Yep fram filters never have been a problem
@henrykennedy1120 thanks Henry, nice to hear from someone who doesn't hate Fram.
