No doubt there were countless lives lost in the 7 hour war, But what interests me the most, Is wether or not it will ever be possible to go back to day 1 of the combine evasion from an outside soldiers perspective. Realizing that retaliation is futile and having to succumb to an enemy that you very well know will destroy your culture and enslave your people (This would be emotionally critical to most seeing as a soldier has the protection complex and will feel enormous guilt because they have failed to protect the people they care about. Some may commit suicide right then and there, others would go into hiding. Chances are the military that was left of the seven hour war was assimilated into soldiers or tortured for intel of other resistance groups. As everyone on earth watches as their governments fail and their cultures eradicated.) The Human condition at that point is left to helplessness and begging for mercy. But I also wonder how the surrender came about. I know some governments would of been outright destroyed and the people in those countries wiped out. But seeing how we could not possibly put up a fight and would be facing staggering odds, Humanity would feel demoralized, trapped and doomed. *Gordon and Adrian Shepard are the only ones who can stop this now.* *Remember who the real asshole is, this all would of never happened if G-man hadn't swapped the crystals.* *G-Man and the Combine underestimate the tenacity of Humanity however, When tested, it will not cave so easily. Being Vulnerable is actually our greatest strength.* So I'll be waiting for my vengeance and G-man shall taste the fury of my Crowbar. (And my mad theoretical physics skills.)

Shep could finally realize his orders? Like, crawling through a vent and you see scientists being lined up against a wall and killed. Then later you get to see it face-to-face and from that point on you start doubting your morals. This would leave the player in a state of "holy shit i am the villain aren't i". Would be cool to allow the player to actually subject against it, and that'd change how the map played out, genuinely would love to full on have control of some sequences and how they'd play out.

I think this is one of the only soundtracks from a video game that actually made me tear up. The only other one is Never Forget from Halo 3's soundtrack. This song is so beautiful.

I really, really love this song. If need one reason, and one reason only to play Operation: Black Mesa, the music is what I would show you. Especially if you compare this mod to almost all of the others out there, this one has some very well made music.

I really, really love this song. If need one reason, and one reason only to play Operation: Black Mesa, the music is what I would show you. Especially if you compare this mod to almost all of the others out there, this one has some very well made music.
i have this song blasting when im driving threw town, and somtimes when im driving threw torornto late at night......it has that "your the only sane one left" feel
