That look of betrayal on Sherlock’s face at the beginning of this scene when he though John was Moriarty, the fact that John tried to take Moriarty hostage to save Sherlock, but let go of him when he saw the red dot on Sherlock’s forehead… I think that’s when Moriarty confirmed they’re each other’s pressure points.

Sherlock isn't a sociopath, he is most likely autistic with Asperger syndrome, and I agree Moriarty and Eurus are psychopaths. And according to Moffat Sherlocks famous remark of a so-called "high functioning sociopath" wasn't remark wasn't meant serious, just sarcastic.
Sherlock respects law and order, can differentiate between right and wrong, wants to help people and fights against criminals, and Moriarty and Eurus are the exactly opposites to him.
How you can't actually see that, I really don't know.
But may be you've missed this scene:

I'd say the odd phrasing alongside the pause Sherlock makes while saying that, is just him not knowing how to put into words how he feels about John's offer to literally sacrifice himself.
I'm pretty sure he sees him as a valuable friend, but never assumed anyone to go that far for him.

I'll always be a bit partial to Jared Harris's portrayal of Moriarty, his calm and confident, arrogant yet intelligent characteristics are how I'd imagine Moriarty. But I gotta give it to Andrew Scott here, his flippant attitude added more to his tendencies towards moral insanity, giving a more unhinged portrayal of Moriarty.
