Agility stacking with common blades is FAR more useful than atk class bonus imo because you can spend that extra accessory slot that was wasted on crit heal and replace it with even more damage
Ive been using similar strat during main story on BoC. Fiora on Morag, Shulk on Rex ,and Poppi. At least for BoC Story Mode Fiora is a beast! I can actually do reliable blade combos. One thing I've noticed with BoC, and this strat in particular, is that Accuracy is just as important as Evasion. Not sure if you mentioned the increased Accuracy you get from Shulk/Mythra. Crit Recharge attacks and Special building suffers alot in BoC if you don't have additional accuracy boosts. I'll be tackling strategies for Supers and Challenge Mode this weekend.
Commenting this in 2023. I just wanna say thank you. I'm trying to 100% the game, and I'm currently hunting all the unique enemies on BOC difficulty. But thanks to your guide on ramping up Rexs agility, this hunt has become much more easier. And I'll definitely use this guide for when I do the challenges on BOC.
I am glad I am not alone is disliking the changes in BoC mode. Depleting the party gague is bad enough, but having the moves also deal enough damage to party wipe you means an instant game over, without Unbeatable. I have been fighting Kurodil quite a bit, and it is pretty dumb in this new mode. On top of everything else, it was made more aggressive in the wrong ways. I avoided the powered up Twinbarrel Autocanon with a chain attack(because otherwise it depletes party gague and party wipes), then avoided Murder Ray with a lv 4 special, had a Vision for Ultra Annihilation Flare, AND avoided Rampage Train with a lv 3 blade combo . . . and after all of that, in succession, Kurodil stil just killed me with Ultra Annihilation Flare. It is impossible to build up enough special or party gague in Bringer of Chaos mode, once you use them up, making you a sitting duck for all of the moves that can kill you in one hit. In general, I already hated the idea of balancing the game by giving every boss a move that depletes party gague, because it takes away a core mechanic of the game. At that point, there may as well be no party gague. But, this new difficulty just takes it even further and makes the game unfun.
Yeah rage strike is super dumb. I uploaded an unlisted video yesterday just to show it so some people. ruclips.net/video/LMjrGivNlEk/видео.html I wouldn't be surprised if it got tuned a bit so you can do some strategies that don't rely on evasion, insane defense, or driver combo locking.
I'm not sure Rage Strike was playtested properly - in some situations like with AoE arts (Screw Edge etc) when a bunch of enemies enrage at the same time you are basically dead. The party gauge drain ignores level 4 special invincibility as well. Sometimes you can get lucky with it and hope it procs onto a weaker move (e.g. when Ophion enrages it doesn't always use Falak Buster first, I was able to facetank a Rage Strike Netherfire) but I do agree that I feel it is sort of a 'cheap' thing to increase the difficulty.
They should have left the rate at wich you build up party gauge and the enemy damage untouched. I mean is Ardanian Kurodil even possible in this mode without playing as Brighid and it taking forever?
Silver It is possible. Just really dumb and heavily luck based(if Kurodil spams the right moves, and if unbeatable does not activate). I agree that the party gague gain should not have been lowered as much as it did
Nice video. But, another simple way to achieve Fiercest Faction on bringer of chaos Mode simply is to utilise the King of Xenoblade 2 tanks . For Tora simply want all 3 Popis (key customisations are master evasion mod, break resist and reflect immunity parts). Tora can have accessories like avant-garde medal, Belamite Bangle and Survivor footgear (alter for safety vs speed of kill). Party member two can be Rex with, say, Mythra, Fiora and blade Nia (again reflect immunity is a good chip to use here, and Rex may wish to use some safety in accessories as per Tora). For battle simply tank Orion with Tora and grind down Remington separately in the arena with Rex and Fiora or Mythra (she will add Foresight which great for tank). If Tora looking low on HP then simply blade switch to Nia to top up with heals as necessary. Very safe methodology for Fiercest Faction bringer of chaos challenge mode kill.
DSE is way too slow, cooldown takes a bit too long and if a single block occurs at the start, your entire art is wasted. It might sound that DSE could theoretically do more damage but in practice, SB can do more damage since its faster cooldown time makes SB much more faster
One thing I was wondering, does the type of blade equipped (hlr, tnk, atk) affect damage dealt? It says on the menu that having tanks equipped increases aggro, attack blades increase damage, etc. Does this mean that using non-attack commons to increase specific stats will make you do less damage than using atk blades?
Yeah, screw this difficulty. 100% garbage. Tried the setup shown here on fiercest faction battle and got insta killed 4 times in a row. No idea what even killed me. Can win almost 100% of the time on normal and high slider custom. Bringer of chaos is just not fun.
