Post is super talented, has an amazing voice, and knows how to write really good and worthwhile songs. Learning guitar is one thing, singing and writing hooks like he can is a whole nother thing.

Everyone here saying he should stop doing rap. Dude is great at both. Being a huge fan on nirvana this cover is definitely nothing great but the fact that he performed it. Those people definitely wanted to see his rap songs and performing this cover is a very nirvana thing to do. Far as I can tell he’s a great guy and him performing the song was great. Appreciate this guys rap and whatever he wants to try and do musically.
From Post's videos - before he became famous - he played rock and country. I think he started rapping, because he knew he could get his foot in the door. I personally think he will eventually transition from hip hop.

Rap is the new rock, just like rock was the new wave of the 60s. Times change and music does too. Musicians such as Post don’t fight the change and embrace it and enjoy it just like people had to embrace the Beatles “rebellious” music.

Someone has to come through and start another trend-something that feels fresh and new again-break down the status quo, it’s what all *great* artists do. Rock went from British rock to classic rock to grunge to alternative, etc. Similarly, Posts era of rap is an evolution of old school hiphop into something new that incorporates guitars and emo rock into trap music. Lil peep, post and xxx tentación are/were some of the more famous pioneers of this new wave of rap.
