your note at the end reminds me of a quote by Elena Ferrante: "...in general, if someone does not have experience of life, what does he or she write about? Spending one’s time focused only on writing is the ambition of an adolescent, of a sad adolescent. Living is a permanent disruption for writing, but without it, writing is a frivolous squiggle on water. That said, life, when it has the force of a tidal wave, can devour the time for writing."

I’m a writer and have been stuck in such a bad creative rut for the past few years (which after this video I’m blaming on Apollo) and after watching I feel so inspired and hopeful! Glad to have stumbled across your channel, thanks for sharing your hard work.

thank you for the inspiration. You are a blessing and your words are nourishing to so many creatives (including myself) who have yet or are still in the process of freeing the beautiful works still stuck in their own minds. Deus te abençoe

Siobhan, you mentioned dry eyes- if you use retinoids be sure to not use them in your under eye area-it can cause permanent dry eye over time. Just thought I should mention because a ton of people don’t know about this and retinoids are a really popular part of skincare routines these days. My eyes were getting really dry over time, luckily I found out I was putting a retinoid too close to my eyes before the damage to the tear glands became permanent. I don’t have the issue since I stopped. Sorry for such an off topic comment lol especially if this doesn’t apply to you!

wooow I recognized the brand of peanut butter and I thought 'uhh, I eat this here in Buenos Aires... Is this a big brand that is outside the country as well?' and I started to look for more info about Siobhan... I saw the 'homesick' one and I scanned read the blog post and found out that she was in fact in Buenos Aires! I choose to live in Buenos Aires - I am from São Paulo, Brazil - because I felt a strong connection to this place, I had found 'my city', a place where I belong. and all the things I have been meeting in this city for the past year have been the result of a careful curation and creating my home away from everything I knew. So the peanut butter is noticeable to me, because it is a food I always look for, no matter where I go. and it was funny to recognize a city because of this and Farmacity. This city feels like an older and wiser friend to me, and here I feel more artistic and enthusiastic about books, which is why I LOOOOOVED meeeting this content creator. So recognizing the city like this made me feel like recognizing a friend on a TV program hahaha My first view of this channel was an hour ago about the book from Anna and I admired the sensibility of the review, the ability to see things from different perspectives, acknowledge flaws and virtues. and how well written the whole script was. AMAZING. I immediately thought 'wow, I want her to be my book editor' because Siobhan is so woke and careful and reasonable and knowledgable. I am really grateful for this content. thank you for sharing!!!

This is going to sound so weird… but brushing your teeth works, too. I don’t know if it’s it’s the mint, the bristles massaging the inside of the mouth, or the cool water during the swooshing. But regardless of how groggy or sleepy I am, once I brush my teeth, I’m wide awake.
