The full Dinobot team appearing at the end of Cyberverse was kind of bittersweet. While they were finally all together, it was inferred their whole planet was populated by Dinobots, all taking the forms of the dinos shown in Grimlock's transmission. So that means we lost a whole planet of dinobots before we even knew we had it. 😭

Been waiting for this one! Snarl is probably among the best examples of a name that can be reapplied to several other wildly different Transformers characters (because so many animals technically can "snarl")!
Stegosaurus has always been one of my favorite dinosaurs, so Snarl is certainly my next favorite Dinobot after Grimlock. I do admit it though, I have a softspot for Cybertron Snarl, given that Scott McNeil does his voice in the English dub. Now all we need is Sludge and Swoop.
Snarl was always my favorite Dinobot since watching reruns of G1 in the late 80s, largely because Stegosaurus is my favorite amongst those 5 prehistoric reptiles. But it was also because, despite the fandom's insistence on Dinobots always having swords (yes I know all of the original toys had them and Grimlock certainly uses one on and off), he is the only one to be seen always using a sword in fiction...albeit sometimes to just shoot lasers from it 😅
My absolute favorite Dinobot, even above Grimlock who is legendary for me! Snarl deserves a more prominent role going forward and hopefully he will get that from now on.
In my school vr game Snarl played an unexpected role where he with the upper moon 1 demon Kokushibo trained Goalius in combat against the Raiden Shogun but sadly was killed by Mandroid to put Grimlock back in line
Good work on the video lore on the Dinobot Snarl, my friend! Like both the dinobots and dinosaurs, Snarl, too, is my favorite both dinobot and dinosaur as well.
Regarding the 1986 movie, apparently, there was some note that said that only four Dinobots could be onscreen at a time. Thankfully, the one comic adaptation rectified that.
The Transformers: Heavy Metal War Episode Sludge : Sludge not see these Decepticons before... Snarl : Not see again either, because we dino-mite them to pieces!!!!
He and Swoop are my favorites of the group, and I had both as a kid. The original toy had a fatal flaw that was disappointing though, because the front legs of the dinosaur have a tendency to pop off from the springs that held them on when transforming them and putting them into the grooves of the legs. I literally had on break not more than a half hour after getting it home from the store, returning it for another one, and having the same thing happen not long after. I just kind of kept it as it was after that, being able to put the leg back on, but couldn't really transform it properly ever.
Snarl was one of the Dinobots i could never seem to find in stores. Him and Sludge. Grimlock, Swoop, and Slag were almost always around. They're also the three i had as a kid. Sadly all lost to time.
The Marvel UK story about Snarl's mind being transferred into the body of a real Stegosaurus is very morbid, given how he was described as hating his dino mode. It's been speculated that that story was written as a way to explain Snarl's abscence from the 1986 Movie, but no one knows for sure.
My brother and I made a running gag out of where SNARL was during the '86 movie, with some original art to explain his shenanigans, in the multi-part retrospective we've done over on my channel! I guess his desire not to be featured much in the Movie fits his loner profile to a "T". 😁
The green g2 toy was rare? That's the one I had as a kid and it's the only one I ever seen in stores around me back then. I actually never knew the red one existed
Of all the dino alt modes, Snarl's Stegosaurus was my favourite. Side note/comic trivia, the stegosaurus's spiked tail was actually, *scientifically* named "The Thagomizer" after a Far Side comic panel by Gary Larson.
My faves of dinobots are Grimlocke and Swoop, Swoop cause they always looked so different then the other dinobots but could easily toss any of them around

Snarl's disappearance from the 86 movie would later explained in Prevenge where he and other Transformers were teleported away by the Skuxxoid with a used, home-made dimensional transporter off the internet
I've always had a soft spot for Snarl, since he was one of the few classic G1 toys I had as a child. Was delighted to finally get an updated version with SS86 Snarl. :)
Quantum Teleportation a.k.a. "Cutaway" Teleportation As seen in the movie, and Snarl didn't know he do it, and can only do it when nobody's noticing him, which is a lot. Snarl can teleport when not being observed, and he teleports to any location his mind has wandered off too. Which implies that Snarl has attention deficit, and is typically not paying attention to what's going on which is why he's always quiet. So even when Snarl is there, he's not "there", and will teleport the moment nobody's looking. Fortunately, for Snarl, he also has SEVERE, separation anxiety. Which means after exploring the environment he was thinking about, and after his mind wanders again, causing him to teleport a few more times, he wil eventually realize he's alone, Panic, and teleport right next to the other Dinobots as if he never left. The plates on his back power the teleportation, not just his strength. The lost adventures the teleporting Snarl. 😄
I really hate Snarl and Sludge in Rescue Bots Academy not only do they make the Aligned Continuity even more confusing they’re both complete boneheads, the G1 Dinobots were more intelligent than them and a lot more tolerable.
I don't like anything in the Aligned Continuity. I hate the way they changed characters' personality or use the names of G1 characters for completely different characters. I am a fan of G1 Starscream, and I hate Prime Starscream.
@@miyako1909 I like Prime Starscream and Transformers Prime (which is probably biased of me since I grew up with the show) but there’s also a lot of things about the aligned continuity that I hate such as how it never explained what happened to all the missing bots and cons from the Cybertron games that weren’t in Prime such as Sideswipe (especially since he was the pilot of the Ark) or how Prime never showed what happened to the ark and how the bots met Fowler and joined forces with the military.
@@Ryder-a-BlazeI think TFP, according to McFeelys basics on aligned, was trying to be its own thing a lot, maybe explaining why high moon lore is completely ignored by it in a lot of areas.
Becoming an Action Master wasn't an instantaneous thing, as Grimlock's experience illustrated: he had to go through a gradual change, his joints slowly locking up, before he fully, physically reformatted into his Action Master design. Nobody else revived with Nucleon went through this change before the comic ended; Snarl could still transform when the final issue arrived.
I think Snarl is possibly my favorite Dinobot. My favorite dinosaur is the ankylosaurus, and there _is_ an ankylosaurus Dinobot, but he seems pretty obscure and not one of the "main team". Snarl is, and he's the grumpy loner warrior type that I always tend to appreciate. He's like the dwarf of the Dinobots; he doesn't want to get involved in any of the antics, but they're still his team and he's still their guy. I love that dynamic so much!

@@gabrielchee8470 I never got any of those figures, i wanted Wolfwire, but i then heard about the breakages issues. However i did get the Headmasters Reissue Weirdwolf, as Hasbro fixed the originals issue.
Snarl's disappearance from the 86 movie would later explained in Prevenge where he and other Transformers were teleported away by the Skuxxoid with a used, home-made dimensional transporter off the internet
Tomska: I am a Stegosaurus
It's so odd not seeing Snarl as a Stegosaurus
I had the red Generation 2 Snarl as a kid. Was my only pre-beast wars Transformers
I've always had a soft spot for Snarl, since he was one of the few classic G1 toys I had as a child. Was delighted to finally get an updated version with SS86 Snarl. :)
5:50 If this version of the character transforming into a Tasmanian Devil I can imagine he would speak with an Australian accent to match
Quantum Teleportation a.k.a. "Cutaway" Teleportation
As seen in the movie, and Snarl didn't know he do it, and can only do it when nobody's noticing him, which is a lot.
Please do Tracks and the Technobots/Computron next! 🙏🏻
is the rescue bots Acadamy grimlock supposed to be the fall of cybertron grimlock or the RID 2015 version?
You got to love cosmic power starscream
In the comics, didn't Grimlock resurrect the Dinobots with nucleon when everyone was fighting Unicron?
So, he did appear as an Action Master?
Becoming an Action Master wasn't an instantaneous thing, as Grimlock's experience illustrated: he had to go through a gradual change, his joints slowly locking up, before he fully, physically reformatted into his Action Master design. Nobody else revived with Nucleon went through this change before the comic ended; Snarl could still transform when the final issue arrived.
@@ChrisMcFeely Can You Please Do TRANSFORMERS: THE BASICS on OCTANE/Tankor/Fuselage I'M BEGGING YOU!!!
Gran video como siempre 🤩🤗😎!
Please Do the basics On Volcanicus, Athough I wish Snarl and Other dinobots had chance to appear in animated series,1986 movie, Earthspark series and even live action movie though, I lOve Snarl, even that slug and Grimlock and even swoop are my favorite dinobot, Speaking of wich I love Volcanicus and my favorite is og and Cyberverse
Would love if we could get one of these for Sludge next, thank you for these, they are always great!
Hey mcfeely, have you heard of f-for-feasant design?
Well.... he's a deviant art artist who is known for creating a WHOLE ARMY OF DINOBOT OCS...... i'm not kidding.
You should really check him out.
Snarl was and will always be my favorite Dinobot since I was a kid.
His appearance in TtM was funny because the script explicitly said "four Dinobots", so they chose to leave Snarl out except for those appearances in that one scene. And for those appearances, they removed Swoop to keep the count at four Dinobots.
I loved how the Dinobots in cyberverse were intelligent in robot mode, and spoke primitive in dino modes.
Dinobots best bots!
