My MT-4 came in recently and I wasnt too happy with the default chuff rate, I fixed that my setting it above 85 like you said, I also changed the whistle to the Air horn and now I love this model to death!
@TheUnionPacificGuy It's a good runner for sure, the sound out of the box was the only thing that bugged me. I'll eventually work on the DDE sensitivity, so it's a bit more audible at speed.
@TheUnionPacificGuy They're just waterslide decals, so you'll need to cut them out, soak in water until release and apply to the board. I used a quick cover of microsol/set to lock them down.
picked one up a few days ago. Spent about 20 minutes on the CV settings to make it actually work realistically (I'd recommend setting CV 114 to 93 for 4 chuffs per revolution). I love how I can switch back and forth from whistle to airhorn.
Broadway Limited will be your best bet there, I can very much see them using a common underframe on brass hybrid builds to cover a group of Northerns that won't get covered in diecast otherwise.
wait wait wait wait wait. Variable chuffs based on load?! Is this a new thing? Have I been missing out for years? Ive GOT to get this setup. Is that a Tsunami thing orrrrr? I need to switch to DCC so bad now.
@JonsGarage89 It's been around for a while, the feature is known as DDE- Dynamic Digital Exhaust. Most factory units don't come with it enabled, so it flies under the radar.
@@SCL3618 I do live under a rock and just started looking into DCC. DDE huh, Ill have to remember that. This is HUGE for me. Ill have to see which have it. Thanks!
@JonsGarage89 Usually it can be enabled with some CV tweaks, but it should be on all decoders minus the barebones chips like Bachmann soundvalue. Soundtraxx has a few videos on their channel explaining more about it and how to set things up.

@@SCL3618 For the Decals that come for the number boards, do you have to cut them out or do they come off and fit on the board?

I want to get an mt4 at some point, but I am thinking about getting a second bli gs4, honestly 😂 lol
@PortlandAndAstoriaRRPro7663 I'd snag an MT, the BLI GS is due for a second run this year anyway.

Love the MT-4!
Looks fantastic. Great Vanderbilt tender. Thanks for showing.
@@willamettevalleyAFtrains Thanks for watching!
Looks great and sounds great! Really hoping that we get some more 4-8-2 or 4-8-4 variety. I'd especially love a good HO scale Rock Island Northern!

Also I love all 4 SP steamers! Plus the passenger set!
Well ... That was fun.
not bad would you do New York Central Hudsons MTH and Lionel Please.
@@maxwellwalcher6420 Not likely unless someone I know buys them, engines like that don't come free.
The daylight still being seen

did Tsunami2 get another SP 6 recording? This one sounds different.
@cowcatcherstudios5759 The recording on engine has been around since Econami decoders, just comes with whistle reverb programmed in.
@@SCL3618 what value?
@cowcatcherstudios5759 Not sure on the reverb settings, but the whistle is in there on my older Eco boards.
