Yennenga is exciting to me because it incentivizes more characters like Sinbad and Bloody Mary to exist, as well as more characters like Yennenga! The Big 3 is kinda what I consider the era of balanced specialists. Solid deck construction with a focus on one or two things they do very very well. Sherlock is great at disruption and passive damage, Bigfoot has cancels and a log, etc. Yennenga strikes me as a well balanced deck with an extra level of aggression. She can’t cancel anything but she’s so focused on raining arrows and death on foes while having a pseudo-defense boost that she doesn’t mind. Her weakness though, is her Achilles heel (ha) and can be targeted. (I don’t think Sun Wukong quite counts as a Yennenga type chatacter since he ‘cancels’ in other various ways) Which leads into the Riding Hood and Sinbad type characters. Powerful gimmicks with strong effects that are built to overwhelm if they can consistently get it off. And Yennenga ensures a level of consistency that we don’t get with many other characters. More Yennengas so we can have more Bloody Mary’s and such. That sounds so fun to me.
Yeah I'm interested in seeing more characters like her. Despite her power she does shift the meta in interesting ways and gives lesser characters newfound viability.
Is it possible if we get an updated tier list soon? Or a video outling who counters who, or perhaps just the most played characters? I'm trying to run a conquest format round robin competition among my friends and I want to be able to provide advice in this area, or just keep it to myself for personal gain.
Be honest, you just wanna stomp your friends 😂 I'm not sure when the next tier list will be, simply because there are a lot of new sets coming out and I want to feel confident in my experiences with the new releases to accurately rank them. At the latest, probably Fall. As for a counters video, that is probably something I can make over the summer. We'll see how busy I get with. other projects.
@@BakedGoods Watched, another great video. Continue doing videos the way you like, ill watch them all.🎉 Btw. I played 6 times with yennenga and she lost only 1 game, and that is to King arthur just because he had lucky hand draw (used excalibur twice + aid of morgana). Overall she seems unbeatable to me. The only time it was close is to Wukong (died of exhauation, yen had 1 hp and would have died to exhaustion too if wukong survived)
She's good against Beowulf bc he doesn't have enough blocks to sustain himself long term King Arthur might be an issue if he gets lucky bc Yen doesn't have Feints, but Arthur is still Arthur and will probably lose anyways lol
It was a great Monday :) Under one of the previous videos, I shared my tier list where Medusa was ahead of Yennenga. I still continue to think so because of the hard counters for Yennenga. In any case, Yennenga is a real monster. The only thing is that it will be interesting to see her in the case against the Ghost Rider and Luke Cage. To be honest, I am absolutely delighted with what changes are happening with the ratio of fighters. Perhaps this video was more about Sinbad than we think ... I'm fascinated by the history of changes in the distribution of forces and changes in the main counters. As a result, we have a situation where the good old Sinbad, with his straightforward strategy, inspires fear in the magnificent Yennenga, Sherlock Holmes and Little Red Riding Hood (I recently lost to Sinbad by Holmes. And it turns out, in the general table that circulates on the Internet, the Sinbad's winrating against Holmes - 70%). Although the same Sinbad is absolutely useless against the good old and long forgotten Bigfoot, Muldoon and Dracula :) This is very interesting!)))
Yes I am fascinated by the increased viability of older fighters who counter new ones! Super cool to see who gets bumped up in strength when a new set comes out.
When a character shows up in every matchup in a big tournament, you know she's good. I haven't been able to test that set yet, but at first glance I didn't think it would be that dominant. I'm interested to see how it works against the new Marvel sets and the second Jurassic Park set.
I think I always am excited to compare the new sets to the current top heroes and see if anyone new impacts the meta super heavily. Only time will tell... Her popularity is definitely a good indicator of her strength for sure and ha yup she smacks Robin pretty hard
@@MrElReKe shouldn' Robin be good vs yen? Haven't played, but he is very aggressive, blocks her low-value attacks, has a good card draw, 8 guaranteed damage from his gang.. He should be good, what's wrong?
@@ПешкоМихаил Stallion is the problem, 1 good stallion and say bye to all the poors outlaws. and Robin doesnt have high defenses, ( Max 3) depends to much of the positioning with your guys, and yennega can kill all of them with only one move. Need testing but feels hard
@@MrElReKe idk, stallion cant kill all of them in one ride, and with good positioning even losing 2 of them is not that a problem, while you can just spam her with non-stop attacks. Also against her his low defense is not that a problem- her attacks are not that high. But testing is needed for sure
He can be decent into her as his ability will always trigger, but the problem is that you're still playing as Arthur. He has a lot of problems with his deck that don't get solved due to the matchup. While he might stand a better chance than most characters, Arthur is still risky for other reasons. So for a shorter answer: Maybe? but he's still Arthur lol
The "new" meta may be interesting. I just played Yennenga vs Daredevil and she absolutely owned him. But she really struggled against Luke Cage who could block her attacks more
I actually just played two games of Luke v Yen and Yen just barely won both. I could definitely see that going well for Luke if he could get more Still Standings off and keep Misty alive
What about Bruce Lee into Yennenga? He should have an easier time with the combos since there are no faints. I guess it's a challenge to get to her in the first place. What do you think?
The numbers say that Yen actually has a slight edge, although I see how no cancels can be a real boon for Bruce The problems I see are the movement effects on Yen’s cards (stallion and skirmish) can make it hard for Bruce to combo, Yen has so much damage (stallion, point blank, shift, jaws) and if Bruce has unlucky draws with his 1 copy cards, he might be very screwed. However, one inch punch and the random discard jeet are brutal if Bruce can draw those early.
Excuse me while I re-repress the memory of your sinbad drawing all 5 voyages before you had 13 cards left in your deck against my yen… 🎶hello darkness, my old friend…🎶
I love the Raptors, and see the potential for them in this matchup, but I think Yen has the chip damage, good enough blocks/damage mitigation, and more consistent combos that I think she's favored against the dinos If the Raptors can get the right draw tho... 👀 Their momentum going first is hard to stop
She actually can combo Bruce with a multi-attack turn if her cards line up right. She has enough auto damage to get Bruce's health relatively low, but as you say, Bruce's effects can be quite deadly to her. A surprisingly close to even matchup
Thank you for continuing with the Meta Mondays!
You're welcome! It's a fun series for me to make, so I'm glad you enjoy it!
