I think out of the new fighters the best will wind up being She-Hulk and can potentially destroy Medusa and Sherlock with her ability auto-damage. But we shall see because Sherlock destroys all hope consistently
Buffy's order for me is based on whether it is fun to play or not. Angel the last, Spike and Willow the best. Mainly because Angel feels very "boring", it has no interesting mechanics and that it revolves around losing fights says it all. At least Spike is interesting with all his token mechanics and Willow has her blind boost attacks that give her an RNG factor that is at least entertaining. but yes, all three are really down
Angel is a great opponent when you are teaching kids to play the game. They get to learn to leverage their powers against a really basic baddie. Otherwise, yawn.
I can't wait for there to be so many unmatched matchups that talking about matchups with any kind of reliable data is utterly impractical, and you go into matchups with "This seems like it'll do well but who knows"

Not going to use the top tiers cause, even having all UnMatched, a lot of those top tier characters i don't enjoy playing, and because the prize isn't big enough, i just want to have some nice games and matchups.

I'd like to propose Deadpool as a counter to Sherlock. Sherlock doesn't put out big consistent enough dmg to deal with dealpools constant healing. Also having a random deck makes it impossible to guess what is even going on in deadpool's hand.
Also Luke Cage laughs and Bruce Lee. Bruce doesn't deal nearly enough dmg to get through his ability and Luke cage being able to cancel his turn kills him.
I love all the detail and time that went into this video! Not sure if this has been said, but J/H has a pretty good matchup into Houdini! Fantastic as always Taylor!
Just played my first few games of Unmatched this weekend, and I love it! Of course, the first game I played was with Sherlock Holmes, and it was super fun. Sad to hear that he is in the 'overpowered' list, so should the day ever come that I want to get into organized play, he'll likely be banned :(

Bruce Lee beating the T-Rex is one of those things I woild never believe if I hadn't seen it. I evem gave my son a little talk before the fight that I basically negated his ability and could hit way over his blocks. But he did enough damage in jeets that he could finish me with shifts before I get him. If I hadn't watched this video I would still be thinking it was a fluke. I guess it's just one of those things that looks one way and plays another.
After watching the whole thing, if you add in the marvel fighters I actually think you have to drop Wukong down to high tier. I think he’s crushed by WS, DS AND BW and also loses to Shulk and 50-50 BP

Honestly they are all super solid, and usually work pretty well as standalone sets with good in box matchups I’ll add that Elektra from HK is kinda busted good, and that Teen Spirit and Spiderman from BaB are all not great competitively But if that’s not something you care about just pick whichever box you like the heroes of most and you should be good 👍
I would rank them in the following order considering both power and fun: Brains and Brawn, King and Country, Hell's Kitchen, Redemption Row, and finally Teen Spirit, which is only for completionists IMO. Brains and Brawn and King and Country are about equal and I would buy those first.
Arthur's ability specifically states so. I think that interpretation of how Feint works isn't too far outside the realm of possibility, but without getting too deep into semantics, isn't what the designers intended.
I’ve been playing Deadpool a lot lately and honestly I disagree with his placement. I think he should a little higher. I’ve had some good match ups against Winter Soldier and I played him in a 2v2 game (Deadpool and Dracula vs Cloak/Dagger and Squirrel Girl) because the Dracula player was a new player Deadpool ended up carrying the team.
I played Deadpool into Genie this week and he has a scheme to guess the name of a card to take it out of hand. I got three wishes removed from my opponents hand and then he has decent defense for genies lower values. DP actually stands a chance against a lot of fighters, but within the meta he’s still inconsistent. That’s his biggest weakness.
I think a lot depends on 1) which cards Ambush discards, and 2) how well Medusa can position to get ability damage on Outlaws If Medusa can easily use her ability (or Dash + ability) to remove Outlaws, a lot of Robin's damage potential. Robin's draw and ability make him a lot better against all the discard effects, but he might just be too squishy. Two MomGlances + one max boosted Second Shot is 8 damage. Medusa basically needs one more 4 dmg SS or some chip damage to close it out. Robin has a more uphill battle damage wise in my experience. Gaze of Stone is a crazy card in 2v2, especially against the player that goes after you and before your teammate!
I can agree with the low and mid tier sections of the new fighters, although I would switch the high tier characters with the one higher tier character. Natasha's schemes are a lot stronger than most people give it credit. She can also block with a lot of strong cards including her sidekick. Her tempo is better than most marvel Characters, but I think her glaring weakness is the fact that if she telegraphs what schemes she wants to play then opponents will find a way to counter. Jennifer is like a much more terrifying Dracula, but not as good as Medusa. The problem is most of her boost values are 1s, which at first makes her look weak but eventually adds up quick. Steven has a good recursion ability, but gets out paced by a lot of ranged fighters and strong hitters. I think if he had a better healing factor from his cards, he could fit into the Higher Tier or The Big 3. But for now, I just see him as a high mid tier character. Otherwise, I completely agree with your Tier List otherwise. I think WOL is going to be nuts with a possible 11 new fighters and I have a feeling that that the meta may be shaking so hard, a lot of heroes we know and love may crumble.
There's definitely some risk with all the blind boosting but he is super good played as an aggressive midrange fighter. If you play a longer control game the blind boosting will hurt a lot but he is great in the endgame as well you just have to adjust your strategy. A really flexible fighter with a lot of powerful potential IMO
I'd argue Bullseye is decent into T-Rex, the matchup of the month demonstrated it, he is one of the rare heroes that can outright kill TRex. As for Drac into Luke Cage, I think he needs to focus down Misty ASAP, otherwise Luke has a good fighting chance. Achilles heel is not so bad... Unless used multiple times into a TRex, right?
Ok so “Grendel Nerf” is not an actual thing haha I should have made that more clear Restoration recently officially ‘tidied up’ some rules clarifications and one of them was what triggers the end of the game It used to to be as soon as a hero’s health reaches zero, the game instantly ends and the other player wins NOW it is as soon as a hero’s health reaches zero, *end the action*. The hero who still has health wins. If both heroes have zero or less health, the active player wins instead. This affects Beo’s endgame because he used to just be able to win games at like 1 hp bc Grendel would deal damage (as a defensive immediately) and defeat enemies despite the fact that Beowulf would have been defeated had the attack gone through. This is no longer the case. Nerf is the wrong word

Really? Sattler has a lot of Versatiles, feints, big Values with her 0 value card being a potential 7 and loads of healing and auto damage. Plus Houdini kinda needs to keep his feints to stop Sattler's big attacks, so he can't use them as auto damage.
Sometimes it baffles me that when the first set came out, that SAME set contains still the best character after 43 heroes and the worst hero. Like who play tested Medusa and King Arthur?? Lol.. even with sinbad and Alice who developed Medusa and then others were never balanced. I would want the job. Like easy money with no work ever haha

Sherlock was a master of disguise, but he could not survive the blistering winter winds of Heorot like Luke Cage could. Luke was able to afford a new jacket since he just Got Paid.
Great list. As much as I like playing Alice, I think she probably belongs in the Extra Mid Tier. Or maybe Little Red should just go up to bottom of High Tier. I've played both of those a lot and Little Red is quite a bit better.
Man, I really hate that Tier Lists have devolved into Numerical Lists With Extra Steps. Like you're not supposed to have to put the items in each tier in an order. You younger millennials and zoomers are making these more time consuming than they're supposed to be. Just put that terrible character in F-Tier, and don't waste any time agonizing over if he's better or worse than that other terrible character. The whole point of these things was that there's not a clear cut order you want to put every S-Rank in, but you're pretty sure they're all better than the things you put in A-Tier.

I am very happy I got the Buffy set. The maps are as good as the chars are bad. (I still like tossing T-rex around with Buffy, though)

This affects Beo’s endgame because he used to just be able to win games at like 1 hp bc Grendel would deal damage (as a defensive immediately) and defeat enemies despite the fact that Beowulf would have been defeated had the attack gone through.

I think you might have made a mistake, you mention Sattler beating Houdini and in my experience its the easiest Houdini matchup ever if you ask me
Really? Sattler has a lot of Versatiles, feints, big Values with her 0 value card being a potential 7 and loads of healing and auto damage. Plus Houdini kinda needs to keep his feints to stop Sattler's big attacks, so he can't use them as auto damage.

Sometimes it baffles me that when the first set came out, that SAME set contains still the best character after 43 heroes and the worst hero. Like who play tested Medusa and King Arthur?? Lol.. even with sinbad and Alice who developed Medusa and then others were never balanced. I would want the job. Like easy money with no work ever haha

Man, I really hate that Tier Lists have devolved into Numerical Lists With Extra Steps. Like you're not supposed to have to put the items in each tier in an order. You younger millennials and zoomers are making these more time consuming than they're supposed to be. Just put that terrible character in F-Tier, and don't waste any time agonizing over if he's better or worse than that other terrible character. The whole point of these things was that there's not a clear cut order you want to put every S-Rank in, but you're pretty sure they're all better than the things you put in A-Tier.
