I mean, one thing i would change about No Way Home is actually having the Sinister Six. We were so close to having this iconic Spider-Man supervillain team in live action and we ended up just having 5 villains instead
Would be cooler if we put that off to Spider Man 6, concluding the College Trilogy (and MCU Spider Man), with 6 Tom Holland Spider Man villains, to really have the ultimate Spider Man film that is super special and cements Tom as the ultimate Spider Man.
@@doriandaykin2747 which is still a very weird idea anyway for the Sinister Six to have their own film just like any project that Sony has been trying to do in their SSU
@@celtic19 Hawkeye could have done better as a movie that has Matt Fraction’s run as its a basis, and Ms. Marvel could have had her own trilogy if Marvel had introduced the Inhumans with their own movies and Captain Marvel earlier
I think a mix is good. A lot do the 6 episode shows seem like they would work better as movies or longer special presentations (they did say future Special Presentation could be as long as 2 hours). But I feel others like Wanda Vision needed the show format. I’d basically make the special presentation be movies for characters that are smaller scale or not big enough for a theatrical release.
@@Arachnid-scribeI don’t agree with you at all. Maybe a phase at most but even that is too much. Maybe a movie or two but no more. It would just be a bunch of reveals of who was a skrull the whole time so it would get repetitive. They can make a secret invasion movie set in the aftermath of the show which set up an interesting story. I like how black lion did it more though
I think COVID changed a lot of Marvel's plans for the Multiverse Saga. With so many delays and production adjustments they had to make due to the pandemic, I'm not gonna fault them too much for how Phase 4 ultimately turned out. It also doesn't help that Bob Chapek was pushing for so many MCU projects to be released in such a short period of time. In the end, Phase 4 did what it was supposed to do imo: show us the aftermath of Endgame, bring in new characters, and introduce the Multiverse. That being said, I do like some of the changes you would've made to the Phase
This is basically how I see the MCU too. Personally, I don’t think the movies and shows were bad, even though they did have problems, you can still enjoy them as superhero entertainment. COVID messed up so much, but it still managed to make entertaining stories and shows and movies
Even though I love most of the Phase 4 and 5 stuff, with She Hulk being an exception, I do blame Bob for a lot of what’s happened. Yes these ideas would’ve been cool. But if it’s not even possible or financially stable, then, why even do them? Why tease everyone? And I don’t blame Kevin at all, if Bob didn’t get involved he probably would’ve kept on what he was doing and not get stretched thin, and I firmly believed he had something great. But because Bob wanted so many shows, he had to add in more ideas, and it’s lead to him burning out. And all the plan changes, like COVID coming into play, Kang being switched out, T’Challa having to be killed off, so many things that were mostly out of his control. Yeah he allowed those changes and Bob to demand more content, but Bob was their boss at the time, he would either have to go through with it or quit/get fired if he didn’t, and if that happened, then someone else would’ve have to come in to do Kevin’s job, things feeing even more different and stretched thin, which probably would’ve lead to an even worse situation. I honestly feel kinda bad for him and my only hopes now is he gets the MCU back to the hype it was at years ago, because I still believe he can make great things and great choices. Marvel will always have missteps, but when they score big, they go BIG.
I wish I lived in the timeline where this was the Phase 4 we got! I especially love your changes to Secret Invasion and Thor 4, they are all perfect ideas
As someone who honestly wasn't that disappointed by the Multiverse Saga so far, I do agree that this is a better idea of what Phase Four should have been. I feel like every phase does need an Avengers movie in order to keep franchise feeling like it has purpose for people, though not every character has to appear in the Avengers movies as you pointed out here. I do have a few notes of things that I would alter here. First, I think the biggest reason that Multiverse of Madness was a disappointment is because of its name not representing the movie we got. Renaming it to something like Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch would keep the title from feeling misleading and emphasize Wanda's major role without spoiling the fact that she's the villain. The cameos would be less expected and more exciting, and I think the movie would be better received overall. Second, I do agree that Black Widow didn't necessarily need to happen, but in order for Yelena's appearance to mean anything in the Hawkeye show, I think it's important that we did need to see her and Natasha's relationship before she tries to kill Clint. One way to do that would be to give Hawkeye Arrow-style flashbacks, which would actually help the show out quite a bit. At the start, since Clint is feeling guilty over Natasha's death, the flashbacks could show a mission he and Natasha had together, one where Yelena was involved to establish their relationship, so when she shows up during the latter half of the series, she'll be an established character. The flashbacks could also be used later in the series to show Clint's time as Ronin and really give us a sense of why exactly Echo needs revenge against him. Third, and this is a minor thing, but I wonder if there could be some cohesion between Moon Knight and Thor. Moon Knight deals with the Egyptian gods, and Gorr is targeting all gods. I don't know exactly how this should be expressed and if Moon Knight should appear himself in the film, but it seems like a missed opportunity to introduce him shortly before the Thor film comes out without tying him in in some way.
I completely agree with everything you said there. Also I think they could have some kind of mention of gods being killed in moon knight and maybe a post credit scene to further set up gore in Thor 4 and also to compensate for the lack of Jake lockley post credit scene.
That or started the special presentations sooner and Black Widow could have just been one of those. A quick spy mission that introduced Yelena and Taskmaster.
I've watch a few of these videos about how they'd redo phase 4 and I think this is by far the best I've seen. I genuinely like pretty much all of phase 4 and the changes you made are just the cherry on top to making it even better. Good job with this video, excited to see part 2 and 3.
Glad to see the Universe Restructuring videos are back, hope there’ll be more cause these are honestly my favorites on the channel Edit:Also, really wish we got that Secret Invasion and fourth Thor movie
Here’s how I would structure it: -No Shows. Disney+ would be used for extended cuts of movies being released, and would be the only platform you could get the movies when they release on video. Movies: -Captain America: A Hero’s Legacy (F&WS as a movie) -Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (The same but with more connections to the rest of the MCU, specifically life after the blip) -Spider-Man: No Way Home (exactly the same) -Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Similar structure but different story. America Chavez, who in my opinion was a bit of a stock character and more of a plot device than an actual character, would be replaced by some kind of magical device. The movie would also have a larger focus on Dr. Strange’s character ark and the final battle would be less claustrophobic (set in a larger area), and more universes would be explored, so it would be significantly longer.) -Ant-Man 3 (completely different movie. Yes, the Quantum Realm would be explored, but Kang would not appear, due to Ant-Man being way too light of a series to introduce the next villain. The plot’s setup would be some kind of Quantum Realm heist, in the vein of traditional heist movies like Ocean’s Eleven and Fast Five. Darren Cross/MODOK would be the main antagonist, but he would be developed better and more serious.) -Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (The same, but Thor is on the Guardians, which feels like it should have been his fate moving forward) -Avengers: Secret Invasion
Maybe the magical device could be the Ten Rings? Leads off of the post credit scene from Shang Chi, connections to the multiverse and making the film feel important, and have it be revealed to be Kang tech later on?
Two things I will change ( They are extremely minor this slate is perfect if you ask me ). I would have Zemo make a cameo in Captain America Legacy, and I would consider Far From Home a phase 4 movie because it doesn’t really work being in phase 3 and it coming out after Endgame, and the post credits lines up with Avengers Secret Invasion. While Zemo is just because I like the character ( told you it was minor ).
@@blue_ig1 ,Bro,what you mean for no reason. The movie was highly overrated and it was basically nostalgia bait the movie. You're just blinded by the nostalgia of the movie to see it's flaws.
One note: I would give Doctor Strange a minor role (basically a glorified cameo) in Secret Invasion where he meets with White Vision to discuss Wanda and give that story thread something of a concluding event in Secret Invasion. Have that interaction form Vision's motivation for the movie and his following appearances, and you'll have more properties in this restructured Phase feel like they actually mean something for this Phase when you get to Secret Invasion.
In your version of Love and Thunder, THAT is what I always wanted in my version of Love and Thunder, or should I say, the MIGHTY Thor. I love the way you recreated it. Excellent job.👍
I think black widow and Hawkeye should’ve been a duo movie where the events of black widow would be the first ten minutes of the movie then the rest would be a hawkeye movie along with yelena and Kate bishop being introduced
@@lee9315omg that’s what I said too. It’s crazy that these 2 avengers didn’t even get a movie for themselves. Since the executives don’t believe the characters were interesting enough to get solo movies, why not do a team up movie trilogy called Hawkeye and the Black Widow. The title is similar to Ant-Man and the Wasp, but no one gets sidelined in their movie and gets equal screen time.
I always wanted even a SHIELD based movies or series that focused on Black Widow and Hawkeye, but included Fury and Maria Hill too and be Bond/MI style spy action movies. Would have been great and given something different within the universe.
I personally don't have any issues with the way Marvel Studios is doing things. (except Thor 4 & Secret Invasion) but this new set-up is WAY BETTER!! Until you decided to make Rhodey a skrull since Iron Man 3, seriously?!
Personally, I would swap Multiverse of Madness and No Way Home, so Chavez can cast the spell and because we know of incursions, Strange would actually have a valid reason to send the villains home out of fear of the destruction of the multiverse. And also because May 2022 is the 20th anniversary of Spider-Man on the big screen. But this alternate Phase 4 is still much MUCH better than what we got.
my mcu restructuring would work like this wandavision , black widow , hawkeye , falcon and the winter soldier , loki , what if , doctor strange and the multiverse of madness , spider man no way home , shang chi , eternals ( turned into a 9 episode event ) , moon knight , ms marvel , werewolf by night and finally the guardians holiday special.
each placement serves a purpose i also added wakanda forever to phase 5 for quality control and i added each movie and show in the new place for the service of things like the rumoured midnight sons movie
Man you should work for the MCU, what you put together would have totally renewed interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe once more. To bad we can't use the time stone on this one.... 😫😫😫 ‼️ #Bravo
This is really good, like seeting the foundation for numerous arcs that would happen at the same time. multiverse arc, kingpin arc, alien paranoia arc, properly fleshing out the character progression and having new characters introduced properly
Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 2019-2023 2019: Spider-man Far From Home 2021: Wandavision Captain America New Legacy Loki Black Widow What If Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings 2022: Hawkeye Spider-man No Way Home Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Ms. Marvel 2023: Thor Love And Thunder I Am Groot She-Hulk Attorney At Law Black Panther Battle of the Kings Avengers Secret Invasion Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special
I think phase 4 should have been it's own mini saga that's just one phase then do the multiverse saga for phases 5-7. Phase 4 could have just been the projects released and just have secret invasion be a movie that ends it. What already we have already kinda sets it up and a movie could have had the old heros become skrulls and the new heros who all got show or movies forming the new avengers that will stick around for the future
One good thing about that Secret Invasion movie is that it would be an opportunity for Nick Fury to get back in the game and recruiting the new avengers and it would show videos of the new characters and him going to talk to them, good way to introduce any new character if needed
2 of the best things in marvel this phase have been werewolf by night and the gaurdians holiday special. So honestlu i hope they do more special presentations in the future
I don't think The Falcon and The Winter Soldier should be a movie the show just needed 10 or more episodes and slightly better writers to establish everything they had in the series
I loved the first episodes of WandaVision were great to me and then it slowly fell apart in the end. Doctor Strange would not have stolen the spot light(and it’s kinda backwards since she kinda stole the spotlight from him in his own movie), I wish the final battle wasn’t just a light show(the visions arguing philosophy was pretty great). then I think one of the worst parts was “they’ll never know what you sacrificed”, like dude she just enslaved a whole town against their will and they were conscious the whole time, she’s a villain know, leaning into that would have made much more since as why she was a villain in MoM
I’d have Jen appear in Secret Invasion as a non-powered side character who ends up getting injured by a Skrull and gets a blood transplant by Hulk setting up for her own show later. Hulk seeing his cousin hurt so badly could also lead to him slipping into his rage a little when fighting Super Skrull until he calms down. The She-Hulk show should be phase 5 and deal with the after math of Secret Invasion now that people are worrying about identity theft and heroes’ reputation has been ruined. Will still be a comedy but would have some actually serious moments too. I’d also include Clint in Secret Invasion and it’s when he realises that some of the people he considered his closest allies have been Skrulls, he half-retires until the Hawkeye show with Kate that he’s brought back out of it.
Here's a comment for each show. This comment is super long and I wasn't expecting this to be. WandaVision: the only reason I watch multiple reaction videos of this show is to see their reactions to Easter eggs and sitcom references The Falcon & The Winter Soldier: [insert Zemo dancing gif here] Loki and What If: this one makes me wonder what other alternate reality spinoffs we could get from different franchises! Sooo...if touching hands causes a nexus event, they would probably destroy the entire universe that we've watched for 14 years if they consummated their relationship! Hawkeye: I haven't watched Daredevil or Iron Fist or The Punisher or Agents of SHIELD or Agent Carter but I find the connection between characters fascinating. Hawkeye knows Nick Fury who knows Quake who maybe knew Daredevil who knew Maya who knows Hawkeye. I've actually done some research and turns out, Dagger joins a team with Daredevil, Moon Knight, Luke Cage, Shang Chi and Black Widow just so they capture The Punisher. Again, I haven't watched those shows but I liked Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Cloak and Dagger, Runaways and The Gifted and I'm still hoping ALL of these characters come back in some capacity. The Gifted would be perfect for The Multiverse Saga and if the MCU would do it, The Mutant Saga! Legion was great too and I'm glad that show at least had a proper ending. Moon Knight: really? You couldn't have skipped Steven's blackout this time for the final battle? Also, if Thor Love and Thunder focused more on Gorr butchering the gods, I would've loved a scene where he fought Khonshu which would've been the perfect way to lead Moon Knight to the Avengers! Ms. Marvel: bad villains and dragged out storyline aside, I loved the characters and editing style! She-Hulk: loved the actors including Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black deserves more love) and Patty Guggenheim (she was hilarious, definitely ship Madisynn with Wong and no, no relation to Marc Guggenheim). I've watched multiple reviews of this show and yeah, it could've been so much better. Like having the Sokovia Accords getting a one line off end instead of that being the actual story arc or breaking the fourth wall so badly that it breaks the MCU. But one thing I appreciated is how they had some damn fun playing in the sandbox with this universe even if didn't make sense most of the time. For the movies Black Widow: Full Fat Videos suggested swapping Black Widow and Captain Marvel's release dates. I got what he was saying but we still had to make sense of Far From Home's post credit scene for the "Talos was Nick Fury the whole time" twist! In that case, they could've released Captain Marvel BEFORE Far From Home. Otherwise, his other idea was for the movie to start right after her death and putting her in the Soulworld where she has a "wonderful life" scenario that flashes back to the events of the movie, giving her a chance to say goodbye to her loved ones in Soulworld or setting the movie between Infinity War and Endgame. They could've done both! Shang-Chi🐉: a good movie that even explores the multiverse when they travel to Ta-Lo Eternals: a fairly decent movie that could've been a great TV show! Spider-Man🕸️No Way Home: still the best of phase 4! Doctor Strange 🪄In The Multiverse of Madness: the script was a mess, but I didn't hate it. I feel like if it was called just Scarlet Witch and Strange wasn't nerfed, it wouldn't have gotten so much backlash. Thor Love and Thunder⚡:most of the potential was wasted! Black Panther Wakanda Forever♾️:at first, I was on team recast the whole time. As a Black man, I didn't love that they killed off one of the few black superheroes on film who's supposed to be the most powerful heroes in the MCU. That would've been like if we FINALLY get Man of Steel 2 but then they decide to kill off Henry Cavill and replace him with Sasha Calle. Which actually could've happened if James Gunn hadn't saved the day. Part of me was hoping it took place during the Blip, especially since there are still almost no storylines since then that took advantage of that period of time, having Shuri fake her death out of protection (IDK, maybe they met Namor earlier) and have the rest of the movie tell basically the same story and leave the door open on recasting T'Challa with the movie ending showing the back of his head. But I saw how the movie portrayed the mantle and why it shouldn't die with T'Challa. It was so compelling to see Shuri come to the realization of that. And they 💯% sold me on the younger T'Challa! Which makes me think Storm will be introduced in the MCU to be around the same age as him and I hope that happens!
Love & Thunder rewrite should've been like this: (Courtesy of my cousin) It's to be narrated by a woman. It begins with a montage of Thor working out and going on adventures with the Guardians. After a brawl with other galactic bounty hunters, which started after they question Thor's identity, he recalls of his old days and plan to move on again, not most suited with the Guardians' lifestyle. He and the Guardians tend to another SOS call, revealed be Lady Sif, fighting the Shadow Beasts. In the battle, Thor finds Jane, wielding the Mjolnir. Sif is injured so Jane, Thor, and the Guardian head to New Asgard on Earth to have her treated. In there, Sif reveals that the Shadows were summoned by "the god butcher". At the same time, Thor reconnects with Jane, who says that the worthiness came to her "like a calling". Realizing that Jane is now known as him, Thor believes that the God Butcher would come after her; he seeks him out by going to places where others gods bave been slain. Korg as company. In New Asgard, Quill calls Jane and Valkyrie unfair to have not informed Thor of Jane's development. Under Darcy's encouragement, Jane reveals to the Guardians that she's dying of cancer; she has lost her hair and appears frail whenever she drops the hammer. A flashback reveals what she has been up to as Mighty Thor up until that point. She have been reluctant to tell Thor, as she didn't know how to break it down for him, especially since their relationship have ended. The group eventually learns of Thor's absence and track him down. Thor and Korg find themselves in a trap by the God Butcher; though he himself is nowhere to be seen, he raised the slain gods as his undead army to confront Thor and Korg. Jane, Valkyrie, and the Guardians came in nick of time. At this point, the narration begins to breakaway from what's actually happening in the story. Understanding that they do not have the advantage, they set out to the Omnipotent City to seek help from King of the Gods, Zeus. On the way there, Quill apologizes for his earlier behavior to Jane earlier and encourages her to open up her condition to Thor. Zeus seems jovial towards the group at first, but gradually turns against them, as he holds low opinion on Asgardians. He and Thor clash, but only briefly, before the group is held captive in the city prison. Zeus and his fellow gods hold a festivity, just vainly celebrating their godhood. They're eventually interrupted by someone Zeus assumes to be one of themselves. He reveals himself as Gorr, the so called God Butcher. He wields a sword Zeus recognize as the Necrosword. He calmly taunts Zeus, enraging the latter. Gorr, after killing several gods, unleashes his Shadow Beasts, including the resurrected slain gods, onto the living gods while he goes on to fight Zeus alone. In the chaos, Thor, Jane, and the Guardians escape. Thor rescues Zeus, though the act goes unseen by Gorr. Zeus maintains his disdain for Thor, ungrateful. In return, Thor kicks him away and steals his Thunderbolt. He and Jane form a duo, combating Gorr and his minions. An overwhelmed Gorr calls for a truce and presents an ultimatum: whoever it was who saved Zeus, they must to come to his place, the Shadow Domain, where they duel until the death. If not, he unleash his Shadow Kinds upon the universe. The heroes regroup back in New Asgard, planning the battle with Gorr. Jane insists on going, despite Thor's reluctance. She then reveals to him that she is dying of cancer, Mantis confirms it, saying the next time she reverts to her human form, it'll be her last. Jane have settled with her fate and wishes her final moments to be with him, in the battle. Thor becomes upset and leaves the room to process it. He is suddenly pulled into another realm. He lands in a pond and standing tall before him is Yggdrasil itself and the Three Sisters of Fate (I decided to blend the Moirai and the Norns together); the oldest sister is revealed to be the narrator. The Sisters are about three times Thor's size. She tells Thor that they have found him quite pesky, having constantly move away from the fate they've written for him since Thanos' defeat. But Thor's rescue of Zeus is one act that irked them most; Zeus, being King of the Gods, is the only one of the gods to hold sway over the Three Sisters. He used to be wiser but grew vain, and they grew to despise him in return. Zeus' latest request for them is to make the Necrosword itself, to be used to murder a god over a love affair with a goddess. The Fates arranged this to be his hubris and thus, complied to his demand. Zeus killed the god but was so self absorbed that he left the sword in the corpse of the god, and it would later be found by Gorr --- The Fates intended Zeus to be killed by Gorr. Thor calls out out their hypocrisy, stating that their desire for Zeus' death instead cause more deaths of other gods and now risk the universe into total chaos. He states that he'll kill Gorr and retrieve the sword to them. The Fates are willing to accept; in fact, they offer to grant a wish from him should he be successful. However, should Gorr kill him, his wish would be granted instead. At this point, there is no more narration. Thor returns to his group, allowing Jane into the fight, saying that he could save her. They set course to the Shadow Domain, which unlike the movie, is a shattered planet and in pieces, rather than a whole round micro planet. Nearly all is absolutely black and white, with the exception of the lightnings from the axe and the hammer, which are blue; the bolt, which is yellow; and the Guardians' blasters' beams, which are green and pink. Quill's goggles also remain in red. In some walls, the group see shadow plays based of Gorr's memories with his daughter. When they find him, the Guardians try to reach him through his plights and loss. Gorr rebukes them, and calls them silly for risking their mortal lives for that Thor's, an immortal. He summons his Shadow Creatures to battle all of them; he himself sets focus on Thor and Jane, though he doesn't know who the real Thor is. In the fight, Jane manages to wound Gorr, but in turn, he manages to fatally stab Jane, and he senses that she is a mortal all along. Thor rushes to her and Gorr stands still in bewilderment, practically giving the two a moment. In Thor's arms, Jane states that at a point, she knew dying to the disease is certain and have accepted it, she just had trouble saying goodbye to him. With her wish fulfilled, she dies. The Mjolnir comes apart again and unable to be used. Thor then returns to another fight with Gorr. The latter's wounds grow fatal; however, Thor "forfeits", giving Gorr a chance to kill him. Gorr swings the sword but stops before it strikes Thor. He deems Thor "not like the other gods" he's killed. Time then stops, freezing the battle with the Guardians and the Beasts. The oldest of the Fate appears, in full color, and she comes to both men. She scolds Thor for seemingly renegading their agreement; Thor must be the victor as Gorr is at the point of certain death. However, Thor insists that Gorr could've killed him still at that moment. The Older Fate yields and offers to grant a wish to Gorr; he chooses his daughter. She appears and reaches him. Gorr makes Thor vow to care for her before dying. The Older Fate then says that she and her sisters will not interfere too closely within the realms of mortals ever again before vanishing, taking the sword with her. Thor and the girl come out to greet the Guardians and Asgardians, now in color. In New Asgard, Thor part ways from the Guardians to care for the girl. Quill congratulates Thor for finding his peace. Thor, in turn, wishes Quill would find his when he finds Gamora again. Later, Thor puts the girl to bed, offering to tell a bedtime story. He suggests the story of "the Invincible Iron Man" or Captain America, but the girl chooses the story of the Mighty Thor. So he tells her the story, starting with how he met Jane in New Mexico. The POV pans out the bedroom through the window into the starry night sky. The credit rolls with the actors' name linked to their roles based on figures of the constellation. Like a star chart. The post-credit scene is Oldest Fate narrating directly to the audience; saying while that concluded the chapters of Thor's love and Thor's death, it is not the end of his story, for he shall return.
I dunno man. Those holiday specials were one of the few things that I would consider good through and through in this saga. I really like the changes but honestly I'd be keeping them in some form
By the way the Commercials did mean something like the Nexus pills showing us Wanda is a Nexus being and the toaster one had the same beep as the Stark bomb
The commercials being messages from Doc Strange makes so much sense. Unfortunately, Disney had to screw things over with their nerfing the male characters policy
Looks good but I think it was a good idea to not have an Avengers movie at Phase 4 after the ending of Avengers Endgame. A phase that serves as an Avengers-break was the good move to serve as an epilouge of the old gen and pave way for the new gen to arise. Then in Phase 5 can bring in the newer storyline that can go about in the 2-3 phases that brings the new Avengers into Secret Invasion
Great video, but War Machine should not have been a Skrull for so long and the real Maria Hill should have been replaced after Far From Home, Everett Ross should be the Skrull from the start, could even have a scene of Valentina Allegra knowing it, and Sharon Carter should be a red herring that is not actually a Skrull, but I totally agree Secret Invasion should have been an Avengers movie. And the next Avengers movie would be a Young Avengers movie or a New Avengers movie.
I hope Peter joins Harley Keener in Avengers by taking mantle of Iron Man to Harley saying word "Keep the legacy of Tony Stark" And combines both Mark 85 and 6 into one integrated suit with colors of Iron Lad with more comic accurate and Harley reaction like "I like it!, Thanks peter!"
I have been doing something similar on google documents for the last two years and I’ve done so many different versions of it trying to see for me what works, what doesn’t works, and in general, what the fans would want.
Wow! Movies within a shared universe that tell a shared story! What a crazy idea! In all seriousness this kind of cohesion is exactly what is lacking right now and these ideas are awesome!
Why did my boy have to disrespect groot like that he's the cutest character in the freaking marvel Universe dude he needs his own show he always has and baby groot is just adorable
people keep saying 2021 had too much content half of that stuff was meant to come out in 2020, but pandemic delayed everything. it was all in production already, just late
wait were you not paying attention to the ads in wandavision? they were all self explanatory: the toast machine was a reference to the missile that hit their house, the watch being referred to as a strucker(the guy who lead the experiments that amplified wanda's powers) and the woman on his arm being referred to as a special lady(wanda being the only survivor of the mind stone aside from her brother and being the more powerful of the two), hydra soak showing many mistakes and mishaps and offering to live in paradise and not having to leave(it's the hex, a paradise she made to escape without having to go anywhere), lagos paper towels with the tagline being "for when you made a mess you didn't mean to/and don't know how to fix it"(very blatantly referring to the building in the city of lagos she destroyed in the opening scene of civil war), yo-magic happening to play just when vision found the people in the outskirts of the town wanda hasn't had time for was a pg way of telling us they couldn't eat because wanda wasn't letting them, nexus being the most on the nose and having the same energy as hydro soak. they all surround wanda knowing deep down what she's doing is wrong and that her traumas still live in her and all the hex is doing is recoloring them, a message sprinkled brilliantly throughout the show that the finale proceeded to ruin entirely
My dream phase 4 of MCU • SPIDERMAN : NO WAY HOME (2021) • SHANG CHI AND THE LEGEND OF TEN RINGS (2021) • DOCTOR STRANGE: MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (2022) • MOON KNIGHT (2022) • CAPTAIN AMERICA NEW WORLD ORDER (2023) • SECRET INVASION (2023) • LOKI (2024) • ANTMAN AND THE WASP : QUANTAMANIA (2024) • SPIDERMAN 4 (2025) • AVENGERS 5 (2025) Note: All of them would be movies(including moon knight and Loki)
I have a few notes about this: For WandaVision, I'm not so sure about your proposed changes. Adding an extra Doctor Strange episode might feel a little forced, so I think it would be better suited as an after-credits scene. As for Quicksilver, I for one was perfectly fine with it just being a lame joke, I thought it was incredibly satisfying for all those smug theorists to be like 'alright, confirmed! this is how we're getting the x-men!' only for it to be flipped on its head. I agree with what you said about Eternals, since, although the movie was overall good, there was too much stuff to contain in one movie. Although I think that having a few episodes with Jake Lockley in Moon Knight would be cool, I'm kind of afraid the show might overstay its welcome at that point. As for Thor, unlike most people I really liked that movie, I didn't really mind the humor. I do agree, though, that the Guardians should have gotten more screen time, although I'm not sure why everyone wanted to see Gorr murdering gods so much. I'm not sure what was wrong with the special presentations either, though they may have been unnecessary the main purpose of TV is to enjoy it and not worry how it connects to the bigger universe, I think that's what lots of people forget when talking about Phase 4. As for I Am Groot, I think it should have had one 12-episode season released right before What If...? in order to tease the Watcher in a fun way. Overall cool concept though!
I like this revamp of Phase 4 and am excited to see what your thoughts are for Phase 5. I really like the idea of a "What If..." series but think it was underutilized. This would be a great time to explore some interesting alternate realities but also connect the broader Multiverse Saga to previous films and the Loki series. I would also like to have a few episodes where The Watcher discusses incursions and maybe quickly introduces a few universes which are about to experience an incursion before the main plot of the episode begins. The number of incursions can gradually build up until the last episode of the season where universes are shown to be colliding everywhere. The brief introduction to the impending universes can begin like "Here we see a universes where Steve Rogers did not go back and time to live with Peggy and instead chose to stay in the present day where he continued to fight with the Avengers until eventually retiring and running for president about to incur with a universe where Hela defeated Thor during Ragnarok and fell in love with Thanos who, in this universe, sacrificed half of the universe as a tribute to her and their love before she ultimately betrayed him and took the Gauntlet for herself". The episode can continue to the main plot where it can then explore a universe similar to the two aforementioned universes which we can explore in more detail. I like the idea of one universe where Thor aims for the head, killing Thanos, preventing the blip, and leading a world where the Avengers have the Gauntlet, establish the Illuminati, and achieve Tony's dream of having a suit of armor around the world before succumbing to hubris and maybe being killed by a Kang variant. I also like a universe where the other half of the Avengers are blipped, Hank Pym discovers time travel sooner, and the Avengers then travel back in time to get the Infinity gems. However, in this universe, Hank and Janet go to recover the Soul Stone and, after being apart for 30 years, are now forced to say goodbye again. This universe would also see Wanda retrieving the Reality Stone but the stone negatively reacting to her powers, causing a new threat which forces Strange to study the black arts and become Sinister Strange. Like and give a shout out if you agree!
I think I would give Elena a little bit of screen time since the audience wouldn’t understand why she would take revenge for her sister if they never reconnected. Like honestly at the very least near the beginning of Hawkeye they build up flashbacks of ElEna and Natasha getting slightly close at least enough to care about each other but then we’re separated.
I like this version much better than what we got of phase 4. I missed having an Avengers film to top it off. I would say I would prefer more specials and less shows. So maybe something like 3 movies, 2 specials, 1 show per year would be my ideal cadence of content release. I feel like the shows could have mostly been better served as just movies or specials
In regards to Thor love and thunder: the main issue is that there wasn’t really a script. Taika is a very competent director and has made many many good movies. The movie being bad with little writing is also a good point in favour of the WGA
This was amazing! It really fixes the main problem I’ve had with the MCU since Endgame in that the projects have no cohesion or crossover or through line
Once I first saw the comic book version of Karl Morgenthau, I thought to myself that he would have looked epic with his hammer and white suit in the series or movie as mentioned in the video.
would probably add some shows about stuff like clint and natashas time before the avengers, what happened during the blip, what steve did after he returned to the 1940s, bucky doing hits as the winter soldier, etc. also would change dr strange 2 so that mordo is the main antagonist and wanda is the sidekick, with wanda eventually becoming the main villain
great vid, the main thing i would change is keep vision quest! why relegate him to just the ensemble movies? he’s a great character i would love to see continue to develop. a few other nitpicks are the avengers formally inviting shang chi in the post credits, i don’t think its necessary. give the character some time to earn his stripes and develop those relationships. it’s basically implied through their contacting him anyway. we don’t need it spelled out. i also wish no way home strictly followed the canon from the webb and raimi movies (eg otto knowing norman is green goblin). and we saw andrew and tobey be leads in their own right. i loved your quicksilver change. i would want that same treatment for tobey and andrew, give them purpose and put them center stage. show the audience that their universes actually matter, they want to get back to them, and they recognize, have thoughts about, and interact one on one with these villains from the past. tom vs green goblin or doc ock is great, but i needed to see tobey rematches, and personal appeals to norman and otto as people that tobey actually KNEW.
If I were to do Phase 4 of the MCU, here’s what I would have done if I were Kevin Feige. First, the Multiverse Saga lacks a face and a trinity. In the Infinity Saga, Iron Man was the face of that era, and the trinity then was: - Iron Man - Captain America (Steve Rogers) - Thor The face for my version, or two faces depending on which side (TV or movie), Spider-Man will be the new face moving forward film wise, whereas Doctor Strange will be show wise. The trinity for the films would have to be: - Spider-Man - Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) - Indestructible Hulk Also the X-MEN project in Phase 4 will be an alternate continuation of the FOX iterations as that team will travel to the main MCU universe and re-establish the team there, thus also fleshing out those characters more than what the original movies did and giving them comic accurate suits. Without further ado, here is what it will look like: [{PHASE FOUR}]: Dr. Strange: Revelation of the Multiverse [{Episodes}]: S01E01-S01E15 ({Release Date}): 05/03/2021-09/21/2021 Spider-Man: No Way Home ({Release Date}): 12/20/2021 [{Villain}]: Green Goblin ({96283}) The Inhumans (THIS IS A REMAKE) [{Episodes}]: S01E01-S01E15 ({Release Date}): 04/12/2022-08/22/2022 Captain America: Legacy of the Shield ({Release Date}): 11/23/2022 [{Villain}]: General Gravik [{Super Skrull}] Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ({Release Date}): 05/05/2023 [{Villain}]: The High Evolutionary X-MEN: New Genesis (FOX Iterations) [{Episodes}]: S01E01-S01E15 ({Release Date}): 07/06/2023-11/22/2023 The Fantastic Four: First Steps ({Release Date}): 04/04/2024 [{Villain}]: Kl’rt [{2nd Super Skrull}] The Indestructible HULK ({Release Date}): 08/08/2024 [{Villain}]: The Leader (Samuel Sterns) Avengers: The Secret Invasion ({Release Date}): 11/15/2024 [{Villain}]: Emperor Dorrek VII [{Kang}]

Love most of your changes. The only one I disagree with is turning Maria Hill into a villain. If she was a scrull all this time, then she could be like Johny Storm's girlfriend in the original comic, where she didn't kill his girlfriend but instead was a masked scrull the whole time. I also think the one who kills Super Scrull(Gravik) should be a scrull too.
Phase 1-3 felt like the main campaign, while Phase 4 and 5 is like doing all the sidequests
Nah more like when you beat a game and it has a final story you need to beat for the 100% completion
Phase 4 feels like side quests, while phase 5 feels more like DLC
Or postgame DLC
Literally what it feels like
Lmao 😅
I mean, one thing i would change about No Way Home is actually having the Sinister Six. We were so close to having this iconic Spider-Man supervillain team in live action and we ended up just having 5 villains instead
Would be cooler if we put that off to Spider Man 6, concluding the College Trilogy (and MCU Spider Man), with 6 Tom Holland Spider Man villains, to really have the ultimate Spider Man film that is super special and cements Tom as the ultimate Spider Man.
The reason we didn't get six is because Sony didn't want to take away from their own sinister six project they're working on
@@doriandaykin2747 which is still a very weird idea anyway for the Sinister Six to have their own film just like any project that Sony has been trying to do in their SSU
@@doriandaykin2747 Yup, and that will be awful.
I mean you could argue Jameson is the sixth villain in his own way.
Personally i think the Special Presentations should take the place of the shows
Atom Eve bonus episode of invincible made me realise things like miss marvel and Hawkeye easily could of been presentations
This is something I've always thought about doing. Glad you made this video.
Also, Secret Invasion definitely should've been a movie.
Should've been a saga imo
@@Arachnid-scribeI don’t agree with you at all. Maybe a phase at most but even that is too much. Maybe a movie or two but no more. It would just be a bunch of reveals of who was a skrull the whole time so it would get repetitive. They can make a secret invasion movie set in the aftermath of the show which set up an interesting story. I like how black lion did it more though
@@Arachnid-scribenah not a saga but I think it should’ve been “Avengers Secret Invasion”
That being said, I do like some of the changes you would've made to the Phase
you can't bring nuance into a online conversation haha. I agree, the fact BP 2 even came out decent is a miracle considering chadwicks death and covid
I really like the idea of Rhodey being a scrull since iron man 2 but having come to care for his team mates. It doesn't undermine his character arc
That kinda sucks because well... Endgame
Im so happy you started doing universe restructeings again. I loved those videos. I hope you do more in the future
Fr
Yeah, but I would keep Black Widow where it is. She deserves a movie after her sacrifice

@@MexicanoIrredentista2008oh...
I remember hearing rumors during Moon Knight's airing that the other Egyptian gods would be killed by Gorr offscreen.
The way i see it, Phase 4 TRUELY started with Far From Home
I've watch a few of these videos about how they'd redo phase 4 and I think this is by far the best I've seen. I genuinely like pretty much all of phase 4 and the changes you made are just the cherry on top to making it even better. Good job with this video, excited to see part 2 and 3.
Glad to see the Universe Restructuring videos are back, hope there’ll be more cause these are honestly my favorites on the channel
Edit:Also, really wish we got that Secret Invasion and fourth Thor movie
Here’s how I would structure it:
-No Shows. Disney+ would be used for extended cuts of movies being released, and would be the only platform you could get the movies when they release on video.
Movies:
-Captain America: A Hero’s Legacy (F&WS as a movie)
-Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (The same but with more connections to the rest of the MCU, specifically life after the blip)
-Spider-Man: No Way Home (exactly the same)
-Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Similar structure but different story. America Chavez, who in my opinion was a bit of a stock character and more of a plot device than an actual character, would be replaced by some kind of magical device. The movie would also have a larger focus on Dr. Strange’s character ark and the final battle would be less claustrophobic (set in a larger area), and more universes would be explored, so it would be significantly longer.)
-Ant-Man 3 (completely different movie. Darren Cross/MODOK would be the main antagonist, but he would be developed better and more serious.)
-Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (The same, but Thor is on the Guardians, which feels like it should have been his fate moving forward)
-Avengers: Secret Invasion
This is exactly how I would've structured it!
No Way Home, Doctor Strange 2 and Werewolf By Night are my favorites!
NWH was overrated and meh,Dr Strange 2 was trash and Werewolf by Night wasn't bad.
@@marktheshark7588Overrated is overrated. Also bro was just expressing his opinion leave him alone.
Y moon knight what if y wakanda forever
@@marktheshark7588people hating on nwh for no reason bruh, some people really calling the flash better too☠️☠️
@@blue_ig1 ,Bro,what you mean for no reason. The movie was highly overrated and it was basically nostalgia bait the movie. You're just blinded by the nostalgia of the movie to see it's flaws.
The Fantastic 4 should've been introduced right after No Way Home to make Reed Richards the new face of the MCU along with Dr. Strange
I agree, they really fumbled
I love how J Jonah Jameson is listed as one of the main villains in nwh
I'm not for Hercules being cut out entirely.
I think black widow and Hawkeye should’ve been a duo movie where the events of black widow would be the first ten minutes of the movie then the rest would be a hawkeye movie along with yelena and Kate bishop being introduced
They should have done a movie of Hawkeye and black widows time in Budapest with widows family there
@@lee9315it honestly still baffles me they didn’t do this instead of what we got
I liked your ideas on the Phase 4 slate. But, one thing I'd change is keep Rhodey as a skrull since Civil War. Hawkeye can be a movie.
I think Far From Home should’ve been the start of Phase 4 and the Multiverse Saga rather than be the “ending” of the Infinity Saga.
10:43 personally I would also put Hawkeye in their to help Shang Chi like he did Wanda in avengers AOU
In their what?
I think Black Widow should have been a phase 3 movie.
Agreed
I personally don't have any issues with the way Marvel Studios is doing things. (except Thor 4 & Secret Invasion) but this new set-up is WAY BETTER!! Until you decided to make Rhodey a skrull since Iron Man 3, seriously?!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE CHANGES!! I wish we got your plan because this all sounds like it would have had me hooked all the way thru Phase 4
Listening to you break down your secret invasion plans makes me feel how big a missed opportunity it was. And ditto for thor love and thunder
Man you should work for the MCU, what you put together would have totally renewed interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe once more. To bad we can't use the time stone on this one....
😫😫😫 ‼️
#Bravo
This Phase 4 makes Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D canon, thus it's a billion time better than the real one.
with the Inhumans being a public thing since s3 it's difficult to make the show canon
I love these universe restructuring videos.
Your Secret Wars and Thor Love and Thunder rewrite were great.
Wanda is basically Disney’s Thanos in my eyes (IMO).
WandaVision: the only reason I watch multiple reaction videos of this show is to see their reactions to Easter eggs and sitcom references
The Falcon & The Winter Soldier: [insert Zemo dancing gif here]
Loki and What If: this one makes me wonder what other alternate reality spinoffs we could get from different franchises!
For the movies
Black Widow: Full Fat Videos suggested swapping Black Widow and Captain Marvel's release dates.
Shang-Chi🐉: a good movie that even explores the multiverse when they travel to Ta-Lo
Eternals: a fairly decent movie that could've been a great TV show!
Werewolf by Night is the best thing to ever happen in all of Phase 4!!! Forever iconic!!! 🌕🐺
I don’t think white vision needs to be an avenger. He should scrapped. But I love the idea of vision being in the Illuminati.
Love & Thunder rewrite should've been like this:
(Courtesy of my cousin)
It's to be narrated by a woman.
So yeah, Thor's started as a goofball (Ragnarok level) but that whole 3rd act is straight up action-horror and the dialogue is kinda Shakesperean.
This is better than what we got
Who's here after the doomsday announcement?
Me
I'm here after it came out
@@EmmettHildenbrand Was it any good?
@@lucasroque754 honestly i really enjoyed it thought it was one of the best MCU since Deadpool and wolverine it had a great set up in to secret wars
Man.. this hurts. I love this line up of shows and movies more. Especially agree with Secret Invasion being an Avengers movie.
Perfect IMO. Love that the eternals is a show , I’ll add doctor strange to the avengers roster instead of vision tho
U nail it everytime with these
if i go back in time and show this video to Kevin Feigie would the TVA come after me
What made Infinity Saga work was that all the movies were connected so you could get to know all the important characters
Agree Rhodey should have at least been a Skrull post Endgame so that would not undermine Tony Stark’s death in Endgame
I wish Marvel could see this video.
I hope Peter joins Harley Keener in Avengers by taking mantle of Iron Man to Harley saying word "Keep the legacy of Tony Stark" And combines both Mark 85 and 6 into one integrated suit with colors of Iron Lad with more comic accurate and Harley reaction like "I like it!, Thanks peter!"
why iron lad. that's already a character? give him a new name.
As someone who actually liked Thor Love and Thunder that idea for Mighty Thor sounds a lot better
Really Excited for this one!
Why did my boy have to disrespect groot like that he's the cutest character in the freaking marvel Universe dude he needs his own show he always has and baby groot is just adorable
Disagree very heavily on the Falcon and the Winter Soldier take here.
people keep saying 2021 had too much content
half of that stuff was meant to come out in 2020, but pandemic delayed everything.
it was all in production already, just late
wait were you not paying attention to the ads in wandavision? they were all self explanatory: the toast machine was a reference to the missile that hit their house, the watch being referred to as a strucker(the guy who lead the experiments that amplified wanda's powers) and the woman on his arm being referred to as a special lady(wanda being the only survivor of the mind stone aside from her brother and being the more powerful of the two), hydra soak showing many mistakes and mishaps and offering to live in paradise and not having to leave(it's the hex, a paradise she made to escape without having to go anywhere), lagos paper towels with the tagline being "for when you made a mess you didn't mean to/and don't know how to fix it"(very blatantly referring to the building in the city of lagos she destroyed in the opening scene of civil war), yo-magic happening to play just when vision found the people in the outskirts of the town wanda hasn't had time for was a pg way of telling us they couldn't eat because wanda wasn't letting them, nexus being the most on the nose and having the same energy as hydro soak.
they all surround wanda knowing deep down what she's doing is wrong and that her traumas still live in her and all the hex is doing is recoloring them, a message sprinkled brilliantly throughout the show that the finale proceeded to ruin entirely
10:42 I think this lineup is very likely the lineup they’ll go with or they’ll use all these characters
My dream phase 4 of MCU
• SPIDERMAN : NO WAY HOME (2021)
• SHANG CHI AND THE LEGEND OF TEN RINGS (2021)
• DOCTOR STRANGE: MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (2022)
• MOON KNIGHT (2022)
• CAPTAIN AMERICA NEW WORLD ORDER (2023)
• SECRET INVASION (2023)
• LOKI (2024)
• ANTMAN AND THE WASP : QUANTAMANIA (2024)
• SPIDERMAN 4 (2025)
• AVENGERS 5 (2025)
Note: All of them would be movies(including moon knight and Loki)
Oh my god this is so much better
This is SOOOOO much better
The Eternals didn't need to be a show just need a 4 hour cut.
The thing about the multiverse saga,is that its not a saga, its just a really big phase
MCU phase 1-3 is like the final boss of a video game but Phase 4 and 5 is when you unlock him as a playable character
I really like the Hawkeye show but your version is better.
In regards to Thor love and thunder: the main issue is that there wasn’t really a script. Taika is a very competent director and has made many many good movies. The movie being bad with little writing is also a good point in favour of the WGA
In place of the Black Widow movie, Marvel Studios could have made a Namor movie.
marvel cant make a movie about Namor its like hulk
This was amazing! It really fixes the main problem I’ve had with the MCU since Endgame in that the projects have no cohesion or crossover or through line
When will you be releasing the phase 5 video
Secret invasion should have been a movie and a build up. Thank you for not being the only person to think this.
Once I first saw the comic book version of Karl Morgenthau, I thought to myself that he would have looked epic with his hammer and white suit in the series or movie as mentioned in the video.
Honestly yeah, having an Avengers movie to build toward at the end of the phase was sorely missing
Cant believe how hard they dropped the ball man
I’m happy that the shows that people think should’ve been shows are being kept that shows in these hypothetical sagas
would probably add some shows about stuff like clint and natashas time before the avengers, what happened during the blip, what steve did after he returned to the 1940s, bucky doing hits as the winter soldier, etc. also would change dr strange 2 so that mordo is the main antagonist and wanda is the sidekick, with wanda eventually becoming the main villain
Something to add in is that when pietro goes back to his own universe he finds out he has a sister and goes looking for her
great vid, the main thing i would change is keep vision quest! why relegate him to just the ensemble movies? he’s a great character i would love to see continue to develop. a few other nitpicks are the avengers formally inviting shang chi in the post credits, i don’t think its necessary. give the character some time to earn his stripes and develop those relationships. it’s basically implied through their contacting him anyway. we don’t need it spelled out.
i also wish no way home strictly followed the canon from the webb and raimi movies (eg otto knowing norman is green goblin). and we saw andrew and tobey be leads in their own right. i loved your quicksilver change. i would want that same treatment for tobey and andrew, give them purpose and put them center stage. show the audience that their universes actually matter, they want to get back to them, and they recognize, have thoughts about, and interact one on one with these villains from the past. tom vs green goblin or doc ock is great, but i needed to see tobey rematches, and personal appeals to norman and otto as people that tobey actually KNEW.
Love to see you do Phase 5
If I were to do Phase 4 of the MCU, here’s what I would have done if I were Kevin Feige. First, the Multiverse Saga lacks a face and a trinity. In the Infinity Saga, Iron Man was the face of that era, and the trinity then was:
- Iron Man
- Captain America (Steve Rogers)
- Thor
The face for my version, or two faces depending on which side (TV or movie), Spider-Man will be the new face moving forward film wise, whereas Doctor Strange will be show wise. The trinity for the films would have to be:
- Spider-Man
- Wolverine (Hugh Jackman)
- Indestructible Hulk
Also the X-MEN project in Phase 4 will be an alternate continuation of the FOX iterations as that team will travel to the main MCU universe and re-establish the team there, thus also fleshing out those characters more than what the original movies did and giving them comic accurate suits.
Without further ado, here is what it will look like:

l thought of turning multiverse of madness into an avengers movie in phase 4 and dr strange 2 be it's own movie while the avengers have to fight one of their own members with secret invasion a phase 5 avengers movie
Not a fan of many shows, I'd rather have 3 and MK should just be a movie
Those secret invasion twists were actually fucking wild especially Maria hill
I think the kingpin saga idea was genius

Mate I’m gunna need a part 2 and 3
Love most of your changes.
