Yes I agree..and it's not so much tension on the scalp..Conrows can be so pulling even if they are not so tight..and they take long to braid and long to take out lol
I have long hair too and people always ask why I wear my hair in protective styles.....ummmmm because it's my head. Lol. Rock your hair however you want to- not everyone is hiding their hair they're simply protecting it from excessive maintenance. Switch it up on em sis!!!❤😍

Id rather keep my hair healthy like you did and use weave to go bold with color and other things SO when im ready to just flaunt whats real it will blow people away. Folks always think if we wearing weave were bald....not the case!! You did an amazingly beautiful job. Grow your natural hair as long as possible or to your. Desire!!❤💯

I guess no one had ever heard of protective styles!!!???? Yes her natural hair is gorgeous and the way she keeps it that way is protective styles. I'm pretty sure she wears her natural hair between protective styles. Protective styles are sometimes easier to maintain than fooling with our natural hair. Go educate yourself on natural hair and stop questioning her for wearing weave damn!!!

Protective styles are a BS excuse for women who aren't grateful for what God gave them. I am so tired of people saying that our natural hair is hard to manage. Not if you accept it in all its beauty and stop trying to make do things it's not meant to do.

The style is pretty too, but your natural hair is gorgeous & healthy! I guess part of achieving that is also using protective styles like this since you could curl your hair, but the extreme heat could damage it.

The instrument used is more correctly referred to as "latch hook." Pulling tufts of yarn through an opening/grid-like space is called latch hooking; not crochet. A crochet hook is used to create stitches, and is not very dissimilar from knitting.

Thanks so much! I've been natural for 8 years. I've tried it all and got bored. I was close to cutting it all off then decided to play with color for a while. I am a full time stylist so I have little time for my own hair so I always pick something I can do in the least amount of time that will last me the longest. The key to great hair is staying on a consistent routine that incorporates moisture a lot. #videoidea

You have thick, gorgeous hair! However, I remember buying a wig here and there so I wouldn't have to deal with my thick, beautiful hair. Lol. Also, I hadn't been one to let folks in my locks. I did and the stylist put rubber bands in my locks. I kept them in for a couple of days, not thinking there would be a problem and not realizing how many she had used. (It was for a hair show.) Everywhere she placed a rubber band, my locks fell off. My hair wasn't as moist as it needed to be to sustain that type of assault. Over 10 inches of locks have fallen off or even more because some rubber bands were close to the roots. So, careful with what you use in your hair. We don't all have the same strength. It's important to know that the products you use in your hair are beneficial to the health of your hair and scalp. Thanks for the video. It was very well done! Thank you.

The braidless method used remind me of gym in middle school. We use to do twist across the front, braids, or these links....I don't know what they were called.
