i haven't had a chance to reply to the comments yet but for everyone asking about HOW TO TAKE IT DOWN, there are plenty of videos on youtube already so i wont be making one BUT its superrrr easy, especially if you dont tie your knots more than twice! Just cut the crochet hair as low as you possibly can (without cutting your own hair obviously) and then it literally slips out like butter, not joking at all, its very simple and not damaging to your natural hair at all =)
Your own hair is absolutely beautiful and long. I'm trying to o figure out why you go through all that trouble of trying to achieve something you already have? 🤔 Maybe know one actually told you how beautiful you are👍😊! God bless you!
Thank you for making this short, straight to the point and simple!!!! I can't stand videos with people talking forever. Chop chop I ain't got time like that 😂 Thanks girl!
I appreciate a video that actually starts as a video. Not what you had for breakfast or if you had to run to the store and talk for 5 min before so thank you
I'm in my 9th month of the transitional phase from relaxed to natural, and I needed a protective style. I tried your style on Memorial Day Monday; right before I went to bed for work the next day. When I got to work, everyone loved it. This was my first time wearing crochet hair, and my time installing crochet. I can work some clip in hair and a ponytail, but crochet scared the life out me! Miss Lady, I felt so proud! How long did it last... 3 weeks, and I just followed your video. I watched your video on and off for about a month until I was brave enough to install the hair. Thanks. You inspired me! Oh, I didn't use the cap.
Favorite invisible part blending video I seen!!!!! I’ve been watching so many and this one is the most beautiful and natural looking invisible part.. and what a lot of people do not realize is that you can do this on a regular U part sew in which is exactly what im going to do
Only one Jess my name is Olivia and honestly this is like the best idea I ever came across I am a single mom of 4 and only in my thirties early 30s I never have time for myself I feel Unpretty because I want to be natural and I only do chunky twist of 10 in my hair everyday since I tried doing crochet braids but I always seem to cut off my hair well taking it down on my hair just don't like to hair in general and it falls out so major setback for me every time thank you so much for posting this video I owed you the world I can finally do such beautiful hairstyles like you just did and I dont have to braid my hair also it looks like l can easily take down the crochet with just my fingertips and no scissors I just pray that my hair dont mind and it can benefit from it. I also don't want another setback but I will give it a try and let you know thank you really u save me so much
Olivia Suazo make sure you also condition your hair before applying the extensions. I like to use pure Shea butter and when I take out my extensions my hair is still soft. Good luck sis.
Hello, Ms. Jess. I am soooo in awe of literally "everything " you do. You're absolutely stunning! I subscribed about the beginning of your natural journey, I started my journey about 6mos. after yours. I am 54yrs. old, however I will be rocking your styles. lol lol. That crochet style, is just the most! !! please continue to teach us and I will continue to watch. Once again you're a-mazing. And thank you soooo much for sharing.
Very cute. I still would have added ONE row of braids at the part just to control the sliding. One very skinny very short row on the part and put it so close 2gether it looks like one single braid and not a row. So when u crochet through it, it opens up the part and it looks more like a natural part and not as much slicked hair visible. But not having to cornrows it all is SUPER great. That's where all my time gets spent.. thanx for the tip
Ok, watching your video makes me wanna go to the beauty supply RIGHT NOW. Thank you for the tutorial! Definitely going to do this because i wanted a protective style that doesn’t require tension on my hair.
I’ve been using the Crochet Method for almost 2 years now. Before, I used to do long individuals & they would take me days but they’d look good. The Crochet Method takes me a almost half a day (because I would cornrow my own hair... even though I suck at cornrows). The would look good but I hated trying to do the cornrows. This looks so simple & easy & then the outcome is exactly the same! I’m gonna try this soon. Thank you, Beautiful! Stay Blessed ❤️
hey love! sorry i already took them out but the takedown is soooo easy, and there are a lot of videos on youtube already on how to take it down but just cut the crochet hair as low as possible, and it just slides right out =)
Ohhhhhh Myyyyyy Gawwwwwd! What did I just watch? This is the most ingenious method that I have ever seen!!!! I'm shook right now!😱😱😱 WOWWWWWW! JUST WOWWWWWWW! This technique is great for people, like me, who have two left hands and can't cornrow to save a life. I don't know who came up with this, but I am forever grateful. So, happy this vid came into my feed. So happy!🤩🤩🤩 Thank you!
I wanted to throw a comment on here a week ago. Did this style and everyone loves it. I used about 4 packs for my head, but it is super easy. Still looks good, so I'm planning on keeping it for another two weeks of I keep wrapping it up at night. When I do take it down I just plan on cutting close to the net like I would do any crochet style.
Jess you might as well open your own salon. GIRL YOU KNOW HOW TO DO HAIR! Most people will need a salon visit to get this done but you slayed this so beautifully like all your other hair styles. Great Job!!
So cute!! All of your styles are super cute and simple to style & take down. Not sure why ppl are asking how to take down these things like there aren't thousands of videos on here explaining that!
This made me want to learn crochet braiding. I normally install wigs but I watched this for the braidless part because I'm tired of cornrows. I will definitely try this style in the future!
girl you know me i don't keep these styles in my hair for long because ya'll be crucifying me if im gone for more than 4 days lol so i took it out already, on to the next style!
hey love, there's a good amount of videos on how to take out crochet hair, its the same exact process as this. just cut the crochet hair as short as you possibly can and the knot unravels on it's own really, you can just slide it out after.
If no one is gonna say it, I will. She looks like the girl from the show Riverdale. 😍 I found this video very helpful. Thank you luv. I'm starting mine first thing tomorrow morning.
Don't isolate yourself. There are people who have been through what you might be facing right now and they overcame it. Don't push people away, surround yourself with people who are spiritually mature and get the help that you need. Isolation when you are in pain and don't know if there's a way out is dangerous and that's why we have suicide cases. Listen, there's nothing that you can be facing that God is not able to solve for with God nothing is impossible. Hold on. Jesus loves you.
Bless you for your uplifting words and for not worrying about the naysayers and caring enough about people's spirit and soul..... May God bless you indeed 😊
just cut the crochet hair as low as possble and then it pretty much unravels itself. the key is to not tie it so many times like 5 or 6 times or else then it will be really hard to take out.
Please show how you take it out and how do you maintain it until you take it out? How long do you keep it in? How do take care of your own natural hair underneath especially with moisturizing?
Your hair turned out beautifully! I actually just attempted my first crochet style with the freetress beach curl. I'm very proud of myself, but the hair turned out so frizzy and I ended up having to cut so much of the hair off. I had to turn it into an updo versus allowing it to hang. When I was done it just look dry and Frizzy and every time that I ran my fingers through the hair more and more hair came out.
I have a question.... Are your edges relaxed? I have 4c hair including the edges and they never ever lay down (like 2 seconds and then they're over it)
I am type 4 and I typically wet my edges a bit with water then apply eco styler gel and lay my edges down for about 30 min with a good scarf and it lays down pretty flat (this is what I do all the time when I do high puffs)
Dustee's Gurl Her edges are done very well indeed. She does not relax she is all natural. You see her styling in the beginning to end she uses the gorilla glue most of the time and she ties her hair down for a bit. Eventually am sure it gets messy but we don't see it. After her hair is first done the edges will look great but we see it that first time on recording and that's it. All naturals can achieve it. It doesn't stay like that for weeks without touch up.
This is amazing! I tried doing this on my hair with cornrows but my hair is so long finding a good braid pattern is hard. I will be trying your method ASAP!!!
I love you Jess I couldn't figure out how to get my invisible part thank you so much for taking the time to make sure we all understand how to do it and make it look good you are the best

This is the best technique I've see so far.. I love the idea of using the mesh cap, then cutting get it to get that seemless parting just great!
You go Jess! It really blends with your natural hair!

This is bomb, but I need to know how in the world do you take it out?
Nyca Anthony might as well just attach the hair to the cap
if you attach the hair to the cap you wont have a visible part but if you dont mind then you can attach it to the cap.
just cut the crochet hair as low as possble and then it pretty much unravels itself. the key is to not tie it so many times like 5 or 6 times or else then it will be really hard to take out.

Your natural hair is GORGEOUS!!
Why do you use the weave cap? benefits?
I have the same question...
You can install the hair more freely without dreading slippage.
Rosey Roe ..Also protects your hair from damage
I absolutely love this method. I'm going. To tweek it a little by braiding down my hair in larger sections and then the cap. Thanks so much.
