😂 it just really takes practice and time. My cornrow braids were awful for years. The good thing about this hair is that it is light, so even "so so" cornrows should hold this crochet hair. I do not know if I will be able to make a video because my hair is in individual twists right now, but I simply start a regular braid near my roots, then once I've completed a few rotations, I just grab another piece of hair, compete a few rotations, then grab another piece of hair, and keep going. Starting with a regular braid first is what really helped me improve my braiding. I hope that helps.
Love this video, you made everything look so easy 😍 would be so happy for tips on how to maintain and keep the hair and scalp as clean, fresh and moisturised as possible, as well as a take-down video 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Hi! Thank you! I sleep with a satin bonnet. In the morning I just fluff the hair and go. You may also want to lay down your edges with gel. When I first started wearing this hair I thought the curls wouldn't last. I first wore it on vacation to Atlanta, and I was surprised at how well it held up, even when I got caught in the rain (it looks great wet). I'm also actually finishing up a video about how I maintain the style from week to week and I'll be uploading that this weekend. 😊
@@JoyMorrisBeauty thank you so much. I was also thinking this style won't last long but hearing you say you got caught in the rain and it still looked good gives me confidence. ☺ So, no wig spray or mousse needed?
I do occasionally use mouse to freshen the look. I actually just posted a video about how I maintain the look and your may find that helpful: ruclips.net/video/Na9Z4SIQeD4/видео.html
Love it! I just got a pixie cut, and now since quarantine I've been trying to do my own hair so right now I have Crochet locs and my sides and the back of my hair still has the pixie cut. Any suggestions on new styles like what you posted? And how do you add hair for the crochet base? The cornrows?
Hi and thank you! I actually had a similar scenario I dealt with when I grew out the pixie cut that I showed in the beginning of the video. I actually used a braided crochet wig cap and sewed the crochet hair onto the cap, then I braided my hair around the perimeter of my head and I sewed the cap around the perimeter of my head. I also used the invisible knot method around the hairline so that it could be as natural as possible...it took me a while to learn how to braid with braiding hair. I will see if I can find a good video and I'll post the link below when I do.
ruclips.net/video/hvQhs3PTZUc/видео.html I did a quick search and found this video. I didn't listen to it but I watched it for a little bit and she has a good technique. I hope this is helpful!
I personally would not go past 6 weeks so that you could take care of your hair underneath the crochet. In addition to washing the hair with Luke warm water, you should cut the frizz away every couple of days and you can also add a few pieces of new crochet hair on top to refresh the hair, if you want.
Thank you! I usually wear this hair about 4 weeks before taking it out. Yes it is low maintenance. I make sure to sleep with a hair bonnet and I cut the frizz away every couple of days to maintain the look.
Hi! Just a little Motions Hair Wrap should work. It will help to tame any frizzy hair but the hair will still be bouncy. I don't recommend using oil on this synthetic crochet hair because it will really weight it down.
I haven’t wore my hair like this in some years. But 4 weeks would be a good length of time to leave them in. Yes you can wear it to the beach and you can wash the hair, but it won’t look as fresh and it won’t be as fluffy.
In sorry to hear that! It's a really frustrating place to be, but yes we are both going to have a happy healthy hair journey! Every time I take down my hair I get excited by the little bit of new growth that I see
Hi! This hair only comes in one length that I know of and it is around 8 inches. There are some brands that have wand curl hair in a shorter length, you may want to look around if 8 inches is too long. And you would need two packages of the hair.
This was one of the best tutorials I’ve seen. Everything was explained really well.
Thank you so much! I spent many years wearing crochet hair and I was glad to pass on my knowledge in this video. Take care.
@@JoyMorrisBeauty can you make one to teach how to braid. I’m like the o oh black person who can’t braid in 2020 🤣

This is beautiful. I'm gonna try it. How do I maintain this type of hair for sleep and daily wear?

Thank you Tiara! Let me know if you have any other questions that I could possibly help with 😊
Do you think if taken care of it could last 6-8 weeks?

Love it, how many bundles you used
Thank you! I used about 3 bundles which is 1.5 packs of hair.
she sounds like any employers training video... good job!
Thank you!
I really enjoyed this video.
How do you tie up your hair at night?
How do you freshen it up in the morning m
Thank you! I used a satin bonnet at night and I scrunched Motions Wrap Foam in the hair in the morning to freshen it up.
Your hair look very nice. Is this hair low maintenance? How long do you keep it in?
Thank you! I usually wear this hair about 4 weeks before taking it out. Yes it is low maintenance. I make sure to sleep with a hair bonnet and I cut the frizz away every couple of days to maintain the look.

Did you put any oil or mousse on this hair? I just did this style a couple hours ago & need to know what's best to use to keep it from looking dry.

You use this for beach ware and pull up in the back. How long do you keep in?

I am in the same position with my hair😩 ....but we are going to have a happy healthy hair journey😁

Thank you! I used that technique for a long time. You'll have to let me know how it works out for you.
hi antie jocelyn it’s jai
Hi hun! Thank you so much for your comment and thank you for following my RUclips channel! ❤️
Hi I’m 11 what inches of the hair would u recommend and how many packs of hair I need to get
Hi! This hair only comes in one length that I know of and it is around 8 inches. There are some brands that have wand curl hair in a shorter length, you may want to look around if 8 inches is too long. And you would need two packages of the hair.
Joy Morris Beauty thank You
Is the the same or similar to wand curls
Hi. I am not sure if it is comparable to other wand curls, but it is the Freetress Wand Curl hair.
How many bags did you use
Hi. I used about 1.5 bags.
Too much work but it's nice
Thanks for your comment
