My favourite thing about the French TGV train is not the speed ( actually goes quite slow from Nice to Marseille ) but the stunning views from the upper deck.
In this video I show you around the train and the 1st Class compartment and my seat as well as other seating options. As well as the facilities including the buffet carand my lunch. I have to say the food onbaord was far superior to my last journey on the TGV.

What side did you sit on to get ocean views,
Hi Elle, This was from Nice to Marselle ( reverse for the other direction ) I was sat on the right hand side of the train as i boarded it facing backwards. Obviously if you have a forward facing seat you want to be on the left hand side of the train. On the seat booking guide. From the front of the train the left hand side of the train has Ocean right hand side the country side
They’re very worse and some of their employees can even speak English
