    Soha Ali Khan is born to celebrity. An accomplished actor herself, she is the daughter of a legendary film heroine and a cricket hero, sister and sister in law to Bollywood superstars with a royal heritage and Tagore ancestry . Her candid memoir, The Perils of Being Moderately Famous, takes a down to earth look at fame and fortune.

    Soha Ali Khan has appeared in movies such as Rang De Basanti, Tum Mile, Khoya Khoya Chand and Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster Returns. She studied Modern History at Balliol College, Oxford and earned a Master’s in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is the youngest daughter of Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, the 9th nawab of Pataudi.
    Sharmila Tagore began her acting career in 1957 with Satyajit Ray’s Apur Sansar and has since acted in over 100 Bengali and Hindi films, notably Nirjan Saikate, Mausam and Abar Aranye, for which she won National Awards, and Devi, Anupama, Satyakaam, Aradhana, Amar Prem, New Delhi Times, Mississippi Masala, Viruddh, Antaheen, Life Goes On, where she acted alongside her daughter Soha Ali Khan, and Break Ke Baad. In 1999, the Government of France honoured her by making her an Officer de L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. In 2012, she was conferred the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award. In 2017, she was invited by the prestigious Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to be its member. Apart from acting, she has been, and remains, actively involved in social work both in India and abroad.
    Sanjoy K. Roy, an entrepreneur of the arts, is Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, which produces over 25 highly acclaimed performing arts, visual arts and literary festivals in multiple cities across the globe, including the world’s largest free literary gathering - the iconic annual Jaipur Literature Festival. Roy is a founder-trustee of Salaam Baalak Trust working to provide services for and rehabilitate street and working children in Delhi. Roy works closely with various industry bodies on policy issues within the cultural space in India and is Co-chair of the Art and Culture Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, President of the Event and Entertainment Management Association and part of the Earth Day Network’s official Global Advisory Committee for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in 2020.
    THE JAIPUR LITERATURE FESTIVAL
    Described as the 'greatest literary show on Earth', the Jaipur Literature Festival is a sumptuous feast of ideas.
    The past decade has seen it transform into a global literary phenomenon having hosted nearly 2000 speakers and welcoming over a million book lovers from across India and the globe. Our core values remain unchanged: to serve as a democratic, non-aligned platform offering free and fair access.
    Every year, the Festival brings together a diverse mix of the world's greatest writers, thinkers, humanitarians, politicians, business leaders, sports people and entertainers on one stage to champion the freedom to express and engage in thoughtful debate and dialogue.
    Festival Co Directors Namita Gokhale and William Dalrymple, alongside Producer Sanjoy K Roy and Teamwork Arts, create a platform for an array of speakers to debate, discuss and present their ideas in the annual five-day programme set against the backdrop of Rajasthan's stunning cultural heritage and the Diggi Palace in the state capital Jaipur.
    Past speakers have ranged from Nobel Laureates His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, J.M. Coetzee, Muhammad Yunus and Orhan Pamuk, Man Booker Prize winners Ben Okri, Howard Jacobson, Margaret Atwood, Marlon James, Michael Ondaatje, Paul Beatty and Yan Martel, Pulitzer Prize winners Andrew Sean Greer, Benjamin Moser, Colson Whitehead and Jhumpa Lahiri, Sahitya Akademi winners Gulzar, Javed Akhtar, M.T. Vasudevan Nair as well as the late Girish Karnad, Mahasweta Devi and U.R. Ananthamurthy along with literary luminaries including Amish Tripathi, Chima¬manda Ngozi Adichie, Vikram Chandra and Vikram Seth. An annual event that goes beyond literature, the Festival has also hosted Amartya Sen, Amitabh Bachchan, the late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Fry, Thomas Piketty and former president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai.
    The Jaipur Literature Festival is a flagship event of Teamwork Arts, which produces over 33 highly acclaimed performing arts, visual arts and literary festivals across more than 40 cities globally.
