Both Sharmila ji and Soha are so gorgeous ! Sharmila ji has for years been one of my most favourite actresses . I've seen her in Bhopal many times , and have even spoken to her when she visited and old lady from a Jagirdaar family, who was the landlady of my clinic. She looked so young and beautiful , even though she'd almost retired from films. and she created a traffic jam when she walked out of that house ! And Soha is so eloquent and amazing to look at. I saw her at Mumbai airport some time back. I always listen to Soha's interviews and I do feel she's one of the best speakers in the Hindi film industry. There's one thing I must say here and that is , it's a misconception that actresses of the 1950's and 60's had inconsequential roles. In fact they had powerful author backed scripts , and stalwarts like Nutan, Meena Kumari, Sadhana , Sharmila ji herself and Jaya Bhaduri had movies that revolved around the heroine only , while the hero only had a peripheral part to play. It's today's actresses who are mere eye candy or arm candy , and the hero hogs the entire film.
I loved watching Ms Tagore's films, growing up in the late 60s. She is a graceful and knowledgeable mother and grandmother. Her daughter Soha is worldly wise, which is needed for her children today with social media. She is very eloquent in expressing her thoughts. Love both. ❤
