Yeah, Bamboo will also open directly flight from Hanoi to Munich - Germany after Hanoi - Prague route. And VietnamAirlines has operated their services to Paris, London, Moscow and Frankfurt from Saigon and Hanoi for years.

The business class hard product of Bamboo Airways looks really solid right off the bat and hope to see them start flying to more destinations soon. Another great review as always and still feel sorry for you about your previous Singapore Airlines review. I am a Singaporean myself and fly on Singapore Airlines rather frequently and must say on some days the crew were amazing (even in economy) and some days the crew were rather mediocre and lacklustre. Keep up the good work and look forward to watching more reviews on your channel!

I had a great first experience with bamboo on their A321 from Da Nang to Saigon. I was expecting a budget airline experience since the price was 32€ but ended up having a great flight! Amazing crew, a snack and a small water bottle, plenty of legroom and a USB charging port which I badly needed at the time 😁 Way to go Bamboo👍🇻🇳

Great Review Josh, I've been a fan of aviation in Vietnam , my third flight in my life was on Vietnam Airlines Yak-40. I'm glad that Bamboo is offering a bushiness class to rival Vietnamese Airlines. domestically if you wanted a bushiness class your choice was just Vietnam Airlines (which to be fair wasn't that bad its just the only choice domestically and the price reflected that) when Bamboo Airlines launched I assumed its going to be another vietjet but looks like they are going to be a real challenger to the monopoly

Unfortunately, Corona (or as they call it in Vietnam Covid) hit the industry. Licenses for 2 new airlines Vietravel Air and Kite Air have been postponed. And borders are shut since March. Just hope we get all back to normal soon!
Viet travel actually flying around :) just come at the wrong time 😂 but after covid end they will take away passenger from the other airlines during travel season at they airlines are from tourist company

If you don't khow,the airline has just been 1 year old.Bamboo Airways took their first flight at 16/01/2019 and they have their first wide-body airplane just a few months ago.I love their crew member and their livery and I hope that I could fly in its 787-9 soon.All the way,thank you so much for reporting your trip in our country's Airline again.

Thanks Josh for this comprehensive and rather enthusiastic review on Bamboo Airlines which shows what is Asian hospitality (I think many other airlines, in Europe and elsewhere, could learn from them). I was in Vietnam last March and used VN between Hanoi and SGN, and as I had been impressed by Vietnam Airlines 3 week ago for this reason, I selected again VN. When expecting the boarding at Hanoi Airport, I spotted Bamboo airlines aircraft, but thought it as a cheap local low-cost airline. You make change my mind, as my flight in economy with VN aboard a 787-9 was very disappointing. Crew not welcoming, service at minimum , no earphones while inflight video was working, and no attention to safety, I mean not even checking if belts where fastened (a passenger not far from me was sleeping and travelled all the way without belt, no crew took care).... I don't mention the online reservation system which went down, later in SGN, and obliged me to go to VN office to secure my reservation to BKK... At least mixed feelings on Vietnam Airlines !
Vietnam airlines now are better than the past when it was 100% state owned which was terrible. Now it's privatized but the state still owns about 70%. Nepotism is unavoidable which can be explained for inconsistent service. State owned companies like Vietnam Airlines can't compare to Bamboo is 100% private owned. Vietnam Airlines employees are not happy with their salaries. There are cases they did smuggling merchandises, golds, fashion clothing and got caught in Japan, London. Pilots threaten to quit for other airlines and negotiation is being in process. Statistics show that Bamboo Airlines is on the top in terms of on time above Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet. In any communist countries, high ranking officials are chosen mainly from connection rather than their qualified management skills. Bamboo Airways is committed to 5 star airline. It builds its own pilot training school and stewardess training center in North Vietnam.

Woww its great to see that Bamboo Airways has greatly improved with the introduction of its 787s. Despite I'm from Hanoi I haven't had the opportunity to fly on these wide-bodies. However I tried their A321neos from Nha Trang to Hanoi in business and services were great. The interior of Bamboo's 787 is outstanding compared to Vietnam Airlines. Hope you can fly on this aircraft again as Bamboo prepares to launch a nonstop service between Hanoi and Prague in April ;)))
try to get on high demand route like ha noi da nang , hcm -da nang or ha noi hcm route you will get chance to fly b787/a350 if you flew with Vietnam airline , back in the day when a330/b777 and b767 every week there will be a few time they fly to da nang to Saigon or Hanoi :) love those big plane seat are much better then a321/320 :) ) too bad all the 3 above are retire , if you flew in early 2000 from hcm to da nang high chance you will flew on the rare Vietnam airlines folker 70 which also retire :( ( folker 70 is amazing not great , but unique and I quite like them flew on them few time flying back to hcm for Tet ) also in tet period back in the day Vietnam airlines also rent china airlines a330 fly from da nang to ha noi and hcm (mid to late 2000s , when there still a old airport ) ( btw the china airlines is the Taiwanese one not mainland china airlines )
inoue jerry when i was 2 i had the opportunity to fly on the han-sgn route with the Boeing 767. I also flew on the B772 and A332 of VNA couple of times and I made a review of the A330 in Business Class. I tried the ATR72 but not the Fokker 70. ;))

Thanks Josh for this comprehensive and rather enthusiastic review on Bamboo Airlines which shows what is Asian hospitality (I think many other airlines, in Europe and elsewhere, could learn from them). I was in Vietnam last March and used VN between Hanoi and SGN, and as I had been impressed by Vietnam Airlines 3 week ago for this reason, I selected again VN. When expecting the boarding at Hanoi Airport, I spotted Bamboo airlines aircraft, but thought it as a cheap local low-cost airline. You make change my mind, as my flight in economy with VN aboard a 787-9 was very disappointing. Crew not welcoming, service at minimum , no earphones while inflight video was working, and no attention to safety, I mean not even checking if belts where fastened (a passenger not far from me was sleeping and travelled all the way without belt, no crew took care).... I don't mention the online reservation system which went down, later in SGN, and obliged me to go to VN office to secure my reservation to BKK... At least mixed feelings on Vietnam Airlines !
Vietnam airlines now are better than the past when it was 100% state owned which was terrible. Now it's privatized but the state still owns about 70%. Nepotism is unavoidable which can be explained for inconsistent service. State owned companies like Vietnam Airlines can't compare to Bamboo is 100% private owned. Vietnam Airlines employees are not happy with their salaries. There are cases they did smuggling merchandises, golds, fashion clothing and got caught in Japan, London. Pilots threaten to quit for other airlines and negotiation is being in process. Statistics show that Bamboo Airlines is on the top in terms of on time above Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet. In any communist countries, high ranking officials are chosen mainly from connection rather than their qualified management skills. Bamboo Airways is committed to 5 star airline. It builds its own pilot training school and stewardess training center in North Vietnam.

Love their business class design. I think the size of the seat is a bit narrow for you, but you said it is fine, so this may not be the problem.

Woww its great to see that Bamboo Airways has greatly improved with the introduction of its 787s. Despite I'm from Hanoi I haven't had the opportunity to fly on these wide-bodies. However I tried their A321neos from Nha Trang to Hanoi in business and services were great. The interior of Bamboo's 787 is outstanding compared to Vietnam Airlines. Hope you can fly on this aircraft again as Bamboo prepares to launch a nonstop service between Hanoi and Prague in April ;)))
try to get on high demand route like ha noi da nang , hcm -da nang or ha noi hcm route you will get chance to fly b787/a350 if you flew with Vietnam airline , back in the day when a330/b777 and b767 every week there will be a few time they fly to da nang to Saigon or Hanoi :) love those big plane seat are much better then a321/320 :) ) too bad all the 3 above are retire , if you flew in early 2000 from hcm to da nang high chance you will flew on the rare Vietnam airlines folker 70 which also retire :( ( folker 70 is amazing not great , but unique and I quite like them flew on them few time flying back to hcm for Tet ) also in tet period back in the day Vietnam airlines also rent china airlines a330 fly from da nang to ha noi and hcm (mid to late 2000s , when there still a old airport ) ( btw the china airlines is the Taiwanese one not mainland china airlines )
inoue jerry when i was 2 i had the opportunity to fly on the han-sgn route with the Boeing 767. I also flew on the B772 and A332 of VNA couple of times and I made a review of the A330 in Business Class. I tried the ATR72 but not the Fokker 70. ;))
I love SPRING ROLLS and these look very yummy!! I enjoy Airline Branded Glassware and China etc. and I have a HUGH!!!! collection of airline china and glassware and amenity kits etc most from airlines no longer flying which make them even more special. Another great video Josh
