I love your videos
I think you should more spend time in economy class while travelling

Normal airlines: thanks for choosing our airline
Uzbekistan airlines: why did you choose us
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Samir Graeber 🤣
🙄🤨
SKY LINER hey cmon, if u are rich, u can fly luxurious airlines in Uzbek airlines too
@@yourbrother3838 YOU ASSHOLE I FROM UZBEKISTAN TOO IDIOT
I have been on flights where the passengers applaud upon landing. It expresses gratitude to the pilots and crew for a safe flight. It was especially frequent just after September 11, 2001.
Thank you for your fantastic videos, Josh!
Informative, well made, adventurous. 😊
As I was watching, I was surprised that the passengers were applauding when the plane landed in Tashkent. That was very interesting. When planes land in Puerto Rico, the passengers applaud also.
The soap taste on the chicken might be cilantro. Some people have a genetic quirk where cilantro just tastes like soap.
Learning new things every day - thanks!
Cilantro is also known as coriander. I used to think it tasted like soap, but now I like it.
Goddamn gonna have to eat cilantro and soap to see if they taste same :V oh maybe not
Absolutely cannot stand coriander kept wondering why my mother in laws salads tasted like chemicals and it was this.
Oh I love cilantro! It doesn't taste like soap at all.It has somewhat of a tang
Fly to Greece or Cyprus with Aegean Airlines. With my experience, they are a very nice airline, especially in economy.
I agree but they’re not always the best at keeping passengers seated, belted during landing, takeoff and taxi.
16:53 Kuala Lumpur Intl Airport
No i think its Medan Kuala namu
Hey Josh, thank you so much for sharing with us such incredible and exotic airlines, and for being so honest and down to earth about everything you encounter. Keep it up! BTW, that's Kuala Lumpur airport, you're literally flying over your destination LOL.
I am glad you got your belongings back from the thieves! Just found you, New subby! Thank you for sharing!
When you requested "unique" airlines, I was literally thinking maybe to suggest PIA and you read my mind! Hahaha! Cant wait to see that review. It will be a very VERY unique experience believe me!
Mohammed Omar Zaman: If he actually lives to tell the story😀
The reason why they asked you so many questions is because you are one of a few westerners travelling on that route. They are likely checking you are not a radicalized westerner travelling to syria on a circuitous route
Beautiful dreamliner of Uzbekistan Airlines with no smile on the faces of their flight attendants. It's true money can't buy everything.
Quite a few airlines really, you should visit Iran, and go on from there to Istanbul, quite a few unique airlines do the route. Ariana do their KABUL-ISTANBUL route on an ageing a310 too which is quite cool. One very unique trip is on UTAIR of Russia, from Moscow to the other side of Russia on a 767-200 (not so many flying in the world) a total of 9 hours. That would be mega cool.
The soap taste in chicken is Koriander. Some people have gene which makes it taste like soap for them.
16:54 Kuala Lumpur International Airport😉
Josh, where there some standing ovatis during the touchdown of the dremaliner? Sounds like this HAHA
Safety video: “use these 2 red tubes to blow the jacket up”
Great video Josh. Trying to download Instagram but it doesn't ilike my phone. I will get there.😅
Uzbekiston xavo yolari👍👍👍 klass
Your face when you got told off by the cabin crew 😂😂 it’s as if you were a schoolboy being told off by your teacher haha.
Hello Josh, I enjoy all your videos, and when I came upon this one of you flying Uzbekistan Air, I decided to drop a line, as I have also flown the same airline into Tashkent in 2004/2005. I was working as a civilian contractor in Karshi-Kanabad Uzbekistan (aka K-2), and in Afghanistan.
Josh, can you do a review of Kuwait Airways or Jazeera Airways? Your airline reviews are honest and good. Keep going.💖👍👍
I LOVE AVIATION SOO MUCH AND HAVE OBVIOUSLY BEEN WAITING FOR THE REVIEW ABOUT MY COUNTRIES CARRIER...INDEED OUR AIRLINE IS OLD AND FLIGHT ATTENDANTS ARE EXTREMELY "FRIENDLY"😂😂😂 NOT ALWAYS THO ^_^
Try Aerolineas! I curious what's your thoughts about it
They don't buy it directly from Boeing. They just look at what options the lessor have, and choose from among them.
Abit wierd request but can you do cruise ship reviews?
Try Air Algerie
I'm pilot of Uzbekistan Airways and I fly on this 787. Our airline make all efforts to make flights more comfortable and that's why we bought this the most modern aircraft. And Boeing has very good relationship with our country since 90's.
Ay yo im sitting on your plane 787 Tashkent to New york October 10 fly the plane safely
Sexy pilot 👨✈️
hi, i wanted to ask if you know is it allowed to take ciggarettes on board? i got 2 blocks of PALL MALL and i dont actually know if im gonna have to pay charges if they would bo confiscated
@@mp3am00 yeah
I used to be a plane mechanic and worked on those, nice planes
Can't say this enough to producers of trip reports. Tell your audience how much each flight costs, so people can make a better assessment of services rendered. Where you get a free or discounted flight, you don't have to say what you actually paid. Instead, just quote the lowest possible going rate without travel points on that particular departure date. That way, if services falls short of what some have come to expect, it could still be justified, given price point.
watch qfs avation they show all of it at the end of the video
I much appreciate that you're flying these exotic airlines. Way more interesting than the standard product placement av youtuber.
BrauseKL yasssss! I want to see more like this
he must try Iranian airlines i guarantee his subscriber will be double up....
Air Koryo next?
Uzbekistan airways is not exotic airline FYI. may be you r from south america
You are right, it’s probably the MOST exotic 😂
08:50
In the former Soviet countries such situation with aviation accidents is that we always applaud when the plane lands, because it's a real miracle that the plane has landed.😂
I wonder if it might actually not be that so much as just an old custom that has survived there. In the 70-80, maybe even 90-ies and into this millennium, applauding on landing was de rigeur also for Finnish charter flights. No idea why only charter flights.
Однозначно
@@Asptuber
Still happens on some US regional flights. Think it used to be pretty standard social practice everywhere back when flying was something really special.
Last year I went to Russia and this happened as well 😂
The fierce female flight attendant probably googled you in the galley & realised how famous you are before changing her attitude towards you! And the dude in the safety demo video didn't look real happy either. Great review Josh thank you...
hahahaha good one!
For sure!!
there's no internet connection during the flight..
Well I represent Uzbek Civil Aviation, and it was so interesting to watch your video, keep doing such interesting videos. I officially apologize for the inconvenience you had during your flights with us! I and my team are working hard to develop this field, hopefully, all the world will get to know about us)
I've been told by colleague on a recent buisness trip to Baku that some governments in Eastern Europe and Central Asia are weary of returning ISIS fighters/loyalists. Apparently they're not only monitoring for returning citizens, but also for foreigners who may be avoiding arrest upon return to their own country.
This may not have anything to do with your experience. My guess is that the camera confused them, especially in a post-Soviet nation.
It's also possible that you were just fulfilling a daily quota they may have for extra questioning that they may have to document on their end of shift report.
Great video, btw! I live in the New York area, but have to travel for work frequently to Central Asia, the Balkans, Moldova and Belarus. It's always great to see others' experiences with airlines/airports I've become familiar with.
I flew with Uzbekistan Airways last weekend on their AB A320NEO from DXB-TAS, and to be fair they were really good. The plane was new, and very comfy. The staff yes did look a little dour at times but it didn't detract from what was a really nice flight, and after spending a little time talking to them they were incredibly friendly. I don't think i met an unfriendly Uzbek for my entire stay, in fact quite the opposite, they went out of their way to help us.
What i would really i would really find interesting (if you could add things to your videos) is more about the airports you travel through. Especially things like immigration, arrivals and taxis etc, as i travel through some random places and would like know what to expect. Thanks.
Thanx God someone finally reviewed my country's airline!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH...I ALWAYS WATCH YOUR VIDEOS AND THIS WAS REALLY UNEXPECTED)
5:45 you are considered crazy if you smile at a person you don’t know in ex-Soviet countries
Anton Allen i can appreciate that, from my experience you can come accross a lot of long faces (mostly at work). A friend at an airport once asked the check-in lady ‘do you always carry out your work looking so miserable? It must be very difficultfor you’ . If he slapped her she wouldnt look more surprised. I guess it can become part of your nature.
Haha so true
you r not correct. Uzbekistan long time ago became independent
Maybe it's true in Russia (not everywhere), but it's not in Uzbekistan and nearby countries
It’s true in Eastern Europe as well.
08:54 🤣 I been on flights where people clap...it's like they're happy to be alive.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 This is pretty Soviet sh@t
Yep same. Its funny lol
That’s a Soviet era habit. I always see that with Russian speaking flights.
haha, imagine Uzbeks switching to other airlines, and realizing that no one claps when the plane lands
I am Uzbek and I really hate this sht** ... i guess crew members came up with this silly clapping sh**
I can imagine 2 possible reasons for the tight security measures: either they are afraid of terrorism (Usbekistan had a problem with Islamistic terror groups in the past) or: they're afraid of political journalists. Even though longtime-ruler Karimov died in 2016, Usbekistan is still pretty much an authocratic-dictatoric state. Not as bad as Turkmenistan, but not as "open" as Russia either. Something in between. They're not used to Western tourists, especially not on an exotic route like Istanbul-Tashkent. So maybe they were just afraid you're some kind of opposition-/ political journalist.
well to be honest, all the ex-soviet republics are like that except the Baltic countries. They are all scared literally of everything 🤣
How do you know so much about Uzbekistan?
I guess you're joking
I love that you flew such a random airline with such a crazy routing! Thanks for sharing!
16:52 It is Kuala Lumpur international airport, Sepang Selangor (WMKK/KUL).
Btw Nice video Josh. Absolutely love your brutally honest and unscripted videos.
I love your caption where they clapped for a hard landing!! 😂😂 Safe travels Josh ✈️✈️
Mate, you need to stop having prejudice thoughts on different airlines and countries. Calling Uzbekistan airlines 'random' and wondering how they could buy dreamliners honestly undermines your credibility as a reviewer. Please learn to respect different countries and their way of life.
lol seriously mate? Didn't know that the word "random" is so cultural insensitive...
May I respectfully suggest that as part of your review, discuss the comfort of the economy seat including for example (and critically important) the level of recline? Sometimes I feel you forget the fundamentals of what’s important to the ‘common man’ in your otherwise very entertaining reviews - 🙏🏼
"Blow the jacket up" seems like a bad choice of words on an airplane
It would be great to see some tripreprts from onboard the Yemenia A310, Iran Air 747SP, Mahan air A300, A310 or A340 within wide-body fleet and BAE 146 within regional one. They're quite unique and unusual operating those kind of retro fleets
Min 16:50, it was KLIA/KUL/WMKK, love your work josh. keep it up
Josh,
Your all videos are very interesting. You should have 500k+ subscribers..
Good luck with PIA !
8:50 WTF? LOL! when everybody's clapping 😁 actually İ really love and enjoy this moment on our Uzbekistan Airways. İt is the gesture of happiness that you landed on safely 😊
Was in the new Airport in Istanbul on Wednesday.. Its huge!!!! But so much natural light... Loved it...
I couldn't care less about how the airport looks I just wanna know the planes are safe the airport is unimportant.
It's the most expensive airline for Uzbekistan citizens! Lol
8:51 😂 haha! Oh man it’s kinda USSR thing, obviously among Uzbek people this exist 😂😂😂 every time I’m laughing as well when this moment comes 😅
aZaTop clapping is not related to uzbekistan people only. this viral tradition came from abroad. earlier clapping on board was not practical but with the increase of transit people this became a tradition. actually clapping is a psychological moment and aero phobias use to clap after landing
Empire Emp don’t u find some weirdness about it? Cuz I do, it makes me smile though, cuz it’s funny.
aZaTop earlier I used to ignore this theatre but since one year it started slightly irritate me (not only on uzbekair flights). people who are clapping even they don’t know for what they are doing this
Hello Josh,
You should definitely review Caribbean Airlines. Would be great to see what you have to say about them .
Thanks
Love the video! Big fan! Greetings from California! What is the soundtrack in the background! It's killing meeeee!
I love how they tell him to stop recording then he continues anyway
The announcement sounds like Indian Railways in Tashkent airport😂😂
.
Do try Indian Railways Josh when you come here 😂
My dad was arrested in Siberia in 1985 for taking photos of the quaint isolated country railways station.....they wanted to confiscate his film. But when the big boss man arrived and after hours of interrogation my Kiwi dad was allowed to go and to keep his film. He got a hard time with NZ Immigration though about why he had been in Russia and Siberia - he had been to both places several times........he was a well know anti war/anti nuclear activist back then and on numerous watchlists and was once invited by the Russian govt to speak at an anti war conference in Moscow.
This is such an amazing video thanks for reviewing these types of airlines even though you are not allowed to film this is how you must do your dream job nothing can hold you down lovely video !
That must have been one heck of a journey! Really enjoy watching your reviews especially the ones on exotic airlines like this! Keep up the great content!
Josh you are the best. I love your presentation and your accent is stunning. Keep on posting please.
I would think security was fairly tight as you are flying in a "sensitive" area of the world given the current situation...though you could say flying to the USA etc is not much different !! I would not be surprised if Uzbekistan airlines were flying old Soviet built aircraft which were probably banned from flying to European destinations due to safety concerns ? Just a thought ! So in recent times they probably needed to upgrade their fleet...and I am sure they can afford it !! How can someone make chicken taste like "soap" or should that be slop ? Rough old landing...no wonder they all clapped...reminds me of some flights I have done in China !! It does seem strange that you virtually fly close to KL to Jakarta and then turn around and head to KL but probable an issue with "freedom rights" on certain routes. Qatar fly to Singapore and sometimes that flight continues to Indonesia and comes back via Singapore ! Strange Business class lay out 2 x 1 x 2 ? Cabin crew age about the same as United ! ( Maybe they trained there ??) Was the airport Changi or maybe KL ?? Great stuff Josh....enjoy Royal Brunei (dry airline uuughh ) and looking forward to our next flight together. I will be in KL next week and flying Malaysia Airlines in Business Class from Melbourne and am looking forward to the flight and 10 days in Malaysia!!
Uzbekistan Airways has not flown a Soviet made aircraft since 2007. Also, has had no accidents during the last 17 years. Very safe than many European airlines.
18:15 i dont wanna sound mean, but maybe the cabin crew had an amenesia and forgot that you were filmingn just saying lol
Josh, it's a part of the Soviet Culture to clap and thank the Pilot for landing them safe.
Thats... not reassuring.
1st time experiencing people clapping when landing in Tashkent from KualaLumpur on Uzbekishtan Airlines
It makes sense when in the past they are used to flying in poorly built or maintained soviet era aircraft, every landing must seem like a miracle :)
Clapping after landing is not just a Soviet thing! It's done on other airlines. It's a way of thanking the pilot for getting you to the destination safely. What's wrong with that! You would like to be congratulated or thanked for producing your videos, Pilots would like to get some acknowledgement as well
Because former Soviet eastern bloc aviation is the safest in the world 🙄😜
I would say a nightmare flight with Uzbekistan airways. Crazy rules , why it’s forbidden to film inside the plane in 21 century. Very strange. Next time I would suggest to choose an Air Astana of Kazakhstan. It’s the best airline in the whole CIS and Eastern Europe region. If you compare those two airlines, it’s like 5 star hotel to 2 star hotel. Uzbekistan airways buys new planes but inside service is very bad like Soviet airline and so outdated. Food quality and IFE is very poor, stewardess uniform is typical soviet style, interior is very simple. Cutlery is plastic, food is same like from canteen. Don’t waste money for such suspicious airlines instead take a high quality airline like Air Astana which has direct flights to all major Asian cities.
Yes clapping after landing is an appreciation to pilots and crew !! Most of the Russian and former Russian countries people do this .
Countries all over the world do it. It did not start in Russia.
It's KL Airport what you can see.
Your final destination. :-)
I have only experience on Royal Brunei and Garuda Indonesia in Business Class and both are very good. From staff I would say Royal Brunei is one of the best. Often you are alone in Business Class and you have two flight attendants which take care about you. This is quite like in a private plane.
GREAT VID! as usual.
p.s can you please tell the soundtrack?
Boliviana de Aviacion is a fairly unknown airline (first saw it on Sam Chui btw) anyway they fly the 767 from Madrid to Cochabamba
Josh : Have you tried Koryo airlines ? Please , let us know what happened to your camera. Be safe!!
You should fly Fiji Airways. Ive always loved their livery
I second that suggestion. LA to Sydney!
UZBEKISTAN AIRLINES Please start BIRMINGHAM UK Flights-demand is high
Josh gets told off again 😂 Love it you rebel!
Why can't you change seats if there is a seat or row empty? That's weird.
Enjoy some chill time in Bali.
Greetings from South West Florida to all viewers and world travelers. May you find your journeys safe and explorations adventurous ! Thanks Josh, as a new subscriber, aviation geek and former USAF CAP Sqdn Cmdr. , I'm now addicted ! CAVU ..Doug R.
Thanks for sharing such great trip report! Love the Airlines and love it more the fact that it flies directly to CGK!
Love from Jakarta ❤️
subtittle Indonesia???
Yay, your flying PIA!!! This Pakistani is so exited!!! Your going to hate it though, but I'm still happy :)
She smiled at you because you were a good boy, did as you were told, stopped filming and went to sleep. 😘
literally the hardest landing i have seen and people still clap 😂
According to mentour pilot, firm landings can be justified by things like weather but I'm not sure this one was due to weather.
Michael 2k3d; No it was not. The Pilot was just "winging it" on this one.😅
LOL. My thoughts too.
I noticed this is usually the case for places where most people don't usually travel a lot or don't get as much tourists than the usual. Happens a lot in Africa, for example. And back in the day in some Southeast Asian countries.
Auto Landing and it’s always hard
Yeah that's absolutely true. LOL
WELCOME TO MALAYSIA BUDDY!!
Josh can you try Air Tahiti Nui?
That 787's livery is one of the best looking in the world!!!!
王輝 it’s really not, it’s so ugly
I like the livery too. So many airlines do the white fuselage with color on the tail thing, which for me has gotten boring. But maybe white paint is cheaper?
Beautiful livery - flower in water!
Just flew with them from L.A to Paris. Not impressed.
@@georgew2014 white paint is easier to spot scratches on, speeds up the safety checks.
Always love how some nationalities always clap when their flights land....
I want to know more about the guys who tried to steal your camera! 🤨
Bob Bartleby: Me to. I thought it was the Cabin Crew but obviously not!
That was absolutely ridiculous. Just because it’s unattended doesn’t mean anyone can take it especially on a flight where you can’t go escape the plane for a period of time.
There are certain places in the world where it's quite prevalent on flights which are Int then fly onwards to a domestic route. Gangs will board the domestic leg and target foreigners on the flight. To avoid an argument with someone from that part of the world who gets offended by proveable facts being pointed out I wont mention where it's especially bad but some google research should tell/ show you easily enough if you are interested.
I also thought he was going to say the crew and that it was more a confiscation than a theft.
Bob B Those passengerss who sat next to/near him took his camera and ended up filming their own faces in the process. Then he argued with them and got it back. That's all.
@@spinalcrackerbox Stole, they stole his camera.
You should take a tour of Boeing in Everett, Washington. You would get a kick out of seeing all the different livery coming off the assembly lines. It's quite interesting.
Lol Uzbekistan has tight security?
You should try flying EL AL to Tel Aviv, now that's strict
I like your honest reviews and work - Not surprised about Uzbekistan Airways crew anger over filming. You should try and review Turkmenistan airlines (T5) and Air Manas (ZM) products.
Josh.
0:55 - people have been "surviving" (aka flying in) economy for over a century ....... most of your subscribers will be economy flyers... 😉
8:50 - be kind. Some people like to show gratitude for a safe flight. It used to be more common, but it still happens in places. I think it's sweet and doesn't deserve your derision. 😊
How tall are you? I'm interested to know so I can have an appreciation when you mention legroom.
Anyway great video as always.
P.S., pleased you left pictures of those thieving scallywags in! 😀😀😀😀😀
I mean it in the nicest way possible :)))
Josh seems so nice and he's so super cute how can anyone be mean to him!? Being mean to Josh is like someone being mean to a little puppy or kitten!
Lieber Josh :
Es wäre eine Sehr interessante Erfahrung wenn du mal Tunisair von Tunis nach Montreal probierst.
Bitte mache uns die Freude !!!
Hey Josh random Q. What is the song you used at the beginning of the video. It's so uplifting!
"American Airlines"
Please Mr Josh and you said you're working on Garuda Indonesia
Hey Josh thanks so much for your flight with Uzbek Airways
I am not sure how is your overall idea about my country's people attitude but you just saw people who are already tired of meeting people but I would recommend you to go out and travel to Uzbekistan's historical places such as Bukhara Khiva and Samarkand. I am sure that you will find out that people are more friendly and open minded. As you mentioned we still have more security check but if you know that happens for us when we fly to USA. I think that is security check which happens in most of the cases. I personally flew to New York and I got such questions and 4 to 5 security checks. Lol.
Once more thank you very much for trying Uzbek Airways. You will see dramatic changes in near future. Hope see you again with Uzbek related videos. 👍👍🙂😉
Hey man, really liked your video! I am from Tashkent(Uzbekistan) been living in Europe for more than 3 years and also been traveling a lot I fly at least 7-8 times per year. I can give you an explanation with Uzbekistan airways plane fleet, So basically a year ago when Uzbekistan president has made an official visit to the US he agreed with Trump to purchase 5 Dreamliners however one of the aircraft's within first 13000 km of use has broken due to the short flights cuz as you know those Dreamliners were built to have a long-distance flights and long story short already two of them for sale! BTW that landing applause is a common thing between ex-soviet countries.
Bahtiyor Sultanov mutahasis bulmasangiz nima qilas bular bulmas gapni gapirib, jeltaya pressa nima yozsa ishonib ketvurmeladi. keyin 5 ta dream brinchi president davrida aniq bulgan. tugirlab quyin
Bahtiyor Sultanov what a bullshit comment and far from reality
Empire Emp write the real shit then 😉
@@bahtiyorsultanov2670 First of all, the original two dreamliners were agreed back in 2008 under President Islam Karimov. Josh flew on the first or the second dreamliner. The other 3 dreamliners were agreed upon by Shavkat Mirziyoyev when he visited NYC in 2018. They currently have another one in order. The aircrafts were not broken because that is a fake information. They were sent to Germany and Netherlands for upgrades. The dreamliner that broke is Moscow airport had computer problems and was not broken at all. Hope I clarified the nonsense you said above.
Hi Josh! Uzbekistan is a small but very beautiful country with big history and very kindly peoples there!
I would like to see a review of VietJet or Cebu Pacific. This was a very good video.
Brussels airlines have just started flights from Bristol (uk) to Brussels via city jet. Super cheap love to see what it's like as will likely fly it soon some amazing small crafts doing the journey leg 💞
The airport at 16:55 is Kuala Lumpur. I flew into it literally 6 hours ago.
MegaHariboboy welcome to KL
I really appreciate your economy class reviews. I can totally relate with your comment about finding it easier to sleep in an economy seat. I like you always grab the back seats and reserve the window seat as I can rest my head against the window or fuselage. I am very tall and I find business class seats to be wide but not really wide for the feat. Often I feel like I am in a cocoon. 3e economy seats across is better than a lie flat business class seat.
8:51
For real wtf was that 🤣🤣
Whatever another interesting video
It's like a tradition in Uzbekistan. After a landing the passengers are clapping as they are thankful for a flight without accidents
They are clapping with joy that they landed safely
Josh, did ever told you how much I love your videos? I always start smiling when I see a new upload! The way you review airlines is soooo good! And if I see your smile, I have to smile! We should fly together one day!
All fly reviews are lovely!
