@@heythere6983 it's been two years since I wrote this, my life has changed a great deal and I actually did resolve this, or rather, it resolved as a result of changes I made to my diet and activity. I quit eating processed foods and eat only whole foods now, took up weightlifting and cycling, and as a result lost a good amount of weight. I also quit being a victim, that helped A LOT. When these old posts come up they make me cringe but they also serve to remind me that much of my misery, in my own case ONLY and not speaking for any other person, were the results of the bad choices I made and my refusal to take responsibility for taking care of my body properly. I now think what was causing this, again, for just me, were allergic reactions to all the junk food I was eating. If you are suffering with this I hope you find your own solution because it was nightmarish for me for most of my life but also, like many in the US where I live, I was raised eating a garbage diet and had to educate myself and change.

You are correct! I avoided surgery by trying everything, researching and making lifestyle changes. 1st. Now your allergies. 2. Minimize exposure 3. Change your diet- most important for long term success. 4 exercise 5. Have faith! 6. Don't lose hope! 7. Stay disciplined and u will see results. Humans have lived on earth for 1,000s of yrs.. they ate different than what we eat today. It's no secret that you are what you u eat and food can really make a big difference. To stop the drip you must know the cause! Start with finding cause and learning about how to eliminate foods that cause inflammation and mucous. Food that builds your immune system.

Okay I got a breakthrough for some...if you have it ...go to doctor and see if it's bacterial ..if so ask for antibiotics...best one is amoxicillin clavalunate ..but you have to use it exactly as prescribed and full prescribed dosage ...don't stop it half way even if you get well before finishing dosage ..GO ALL THE WAY WITH THE DOSAGE....or the bacteria will come back and take it timely as prescribed and it will kill the bacteria causing the post nasal drip....now with amoxicillin you have to take yogurt with it because it doesn't know how to distinguish the good and bad bacteria so it will kill both good and bad and so it will kill the good bacteria in gut and you will get stomach issues ...so take yogurt with it so as to replenish the good bacteria in your gut ....I got a relief and slept for a full night ..I had been struggling with sleep coz of post nasal drip for 27 days ...one time went two days without sleep ..but thank God for the antibiotics and Jesus .....now if it's not bacterial and the antibiotics don't fix it ...go to an ear ,nose doctor to figure if something else is wrong

The nose is clear of any mucus, actually it´s more on the dry side, but my throat is full of this sticky white/transparent mucus all of the time (the throat starts to hurt after to much trying to get it out).
It started slowly, 3 years ago. I visited 5 different ENT Doctors, they tried everything they could, end result was: i have nothing .
CT Scans, allergy tests, reflux medicine , bacterial laboratory checks, etc..
I tried every single nasal spray on market, steam inhalations and ultrasonic nebulisers, sinus rinsing, i have even moved away from home for like 4 months, nothing changed , nothing helped.

You can make a spray solution that works good with distilled water, and salt. (Combine 1/2 tsp salt to 30ml distilled water and shake well. Transfer the solution into a clean empty bottle used for nasal spray.
Direction for use: Inhale two to three sprays into each nostril. The salt solution will burn the nasal passages slightly. If burning is intense blow your nose and discontinue. This can also help for a stopped up nose.

The second doctor I saw didn’t even need a camera for the diagnosis and he is going to take care of it. Hec even his nurse knew immediately. That is how simple it is and how easily it can be diagnosed.

Living in a bubble I think from experience and research is the only treatment. I would like to know what does he recommend? I am sure I will need several thousands of dollars to hear him give me a prescription of immune suppressants and steroids and eventually allergy shots. If that doesn't work surgery with no guarantee/temporary relief. I wonder who the top specialist of post nasal drip/nasal polyps is?

Yes, I am feeling a lot better. It took me several months to make the lifestyle adjustments I needed to feel better. Knowing your allergies is the 1st step. Avoiding/minimizing your exposure is crucial. Wearing face mask during covid has helped especially during Oak season. I am allergic to Mold and Oak Trees living in Fl so that was a challenge. Changing your diet is a must if you really want to see changes. I cut down on dairy products. I drink mostly water. Water with lemon in the morning, grain free cereal with fruits for breakfast. Cut down/eliminate grains/bread. Paleo diet for lunch & dinner helped me. Ex Salmon with salad, Honey Baked Chicken with salad, lots of fruits! Nasal Flush before bed. Vitamins, ester c, earths blend multi, now quercetin with bromelain, l- lysine. Remove bad sugar from diet as much as u can. No sodas/wines, processed foods/cereals. Cetrizine HCL 10mg in the morning is the only med I'm taking right now about 10 months out of 12. I have avoided the surgery and feel 90% to 100% better. Faith in God helps, dicipline, decreasing your stress level and exercising. Good Luck! I will be posting a video of my experience soon. Nasal Polyps is a real bad experience that very few if any Dr. Understands.

Feels like I'm swallowing a bead of something everything I swallow and no matter how many times I swallow it doesn't go down. I have to hack the mucus up out of my throat over and over again until it settles down. When I eat anything it makes it worse and whenever I eat little bits of food stick in my throat and get inhaled into the vocal chord area(I think) and then I really start having to cough and hack up mucus for hours. For post nasal drip,
Do warm saline mouth rinse twice daily.
Avoid late night dinner, gastric reflux might trigger it. So have dinner much early than you go to sleep.
    Steam inhalation.
If the condition don't subside after 4-5days consult a doctor and take medication.

@@lynnm.2019 I am still learning everything I can to get rid of this plaque. See an ENT docter. Get the scope up your nose and pray you don't have lots of polyps. 2nd get an Cat scan of your sinus in your face : ) Your hocus pocus dr. Might tell you u need surgery, steriods or other drugs and not mention or want to spend time with you telling you why you got it or how to prevent it. Finding a good Dr. Is like getting eating by a shark in fl. I was lucky my dr. Prescribed me a book. I thought he was crazy at first and just wanted me to suffer but now I am understanding why he did it..An allergy test is the first thing you should do since you want to be aware of all your allergies. Then you want to minimize as much as possible your exposure. You also need to change your diet if you want to see improvement. Start with getting rid of diary products. Substitute milk with soy milk. Decrease your sugar intake. Increase green consumption. You should be eating more greens than anything else. Salads, avocados, onions, peppers. Stay away from corns and veggies in cans or frozen. Fresh is the best. 2nd go for fresh fruits that has less sugars Lemon with water when u wake up. Lime later in the day. Grapefruit helps your fire throat. Pineapples, green apples, blueberries and other berries. Less McDonald's and other fast food. Minimize bread intake. Processed food doesnt help you. Drink lots of water. You have 2 choices. Surgery with steroids and other meds possibly for life or change your diet and go the natural approach and pray to God will help get rid of the nasal polyps/post nasal drip. I will post books that will give you more information. Lots of quackery on you tube about nasal polyps. If you give a car the wrong oil it will start to fall apart. No different than us Humans. If we eat garbage food and expose ourselves to toxins it will catch up to us. Humans lived in nature for thousands of yrs. Do you think they had allergies like we do today? I just left my state and went up to Georgia for 3 days and felt better. Why.. I developed a severe allergy to Oak Trees. My new home state is surrounded by Oak Trees and mold. I have severe allergy to both.. Been here for 7yrs and I know noticed how little by little my symptoms got worts. I spent so many yrs in the woods and never had this issue. Why now? I am still working on trying to understand the when, why, how and etc. Take notes of when it gets better/worst. Your notes will help u. Don't give up and when you have sucky days, months or possibly yrs..just imagine how much worse it can be. I love Mcdonalds, Burger King, French Fries, chocalate chip ice cream, sugar, white bread. Its not easy! Who ever tells you that is lying.. im actually thinking about wanting a burger right now.. it sucks! But I hate the polyps and post nasal drip and I'm gonna defeat it. As you can see rambling is also a good therapy. So talk it out 2! Lol.. to be cont..

@@lsquare2080 Well friend, if rambling is good therapy then I should be the picture of mental health! LoL! After a course of antibiotics, buying a humidifier and over 200 dollars worth of over the counter meds for this mucus in my throat, last night I did the simple warm water salt gargle that some have recommended, and I am already getting some relief from it! Who knew?!! I moved from the ocean after 40 yrs to the High Sierra's near Yosemite 5 yrs ago. I had never before had allergies in my almost 67 yrs of life, and my ophthalmologist said "well you will get them up here!" This past 3 months has been the worst with the post nasal drip and the anxiety-causing mucus stuck in the throat. I also moved to a new apartment recently and they are nice but very old, and I suspect mold which I am addressing with the owners at this time. Anyway, thank you so very much for taking the time to write down all this information for me!! Yes I have done some singing in the past so I have not done hardly any dairy for years but I will admit my diet has not been ideal.I had been busy taking care of others, and now I have had a few years to try to just take care of myself. My Faith in Christ is my foundation, what grounds me and my hope that one day I won't have to deal with any of life's aches, heartaches and pains.
