I fell asleep 20 minutes into the first episode and never looked back. I thought Filoni would save Star Wars, but somehow he looked at this and didn't see anything wrong with it. With the degradation going on in science fiction and fantasy series/ movies I have gone starting to read more books. I can really recommend it. There is a vast ocean of super imaginative original universes on offer in books. All without identity politics in there and much more creative and deeper than anything on offer on TV Give it a try with Hyperion, Revelation Space, Children of Time, Stormlight Archive or Mistborn (last one if you want something big but easy to read) and you will be blown away. As for Star Wars, cherish the memories of the old stuff. Rip off the band aid and accept it's dead.

True. I even really tried with I, II and III. I really did. Then after that it was just "what are you doing..." and gave up on it. This one certainly I'm not even going to try. They put a woman in it, and they made her gay, just like Kathleen Kennedy is devoted to doing.
I love the prequels, maybe because I was raised on them but I do cherish them myself. The plot of 1 and 2 is definitely iffy, but Episode 3 has to be some of the best plot in Star Wars ever.

@@DaG.O.A.T.i have not seen the show I am here just for curiosity but in general I assure you on the industry quality has nothing to do with “subjective” feeling. There are precise rules and criteria you MUST obey of you want to do a quality product, composition rules, photography techniques, color theory, story telling, character writing…. It doesn’t means you can’t create something original, it means true quality has characteristics you can recognize if you have right knowledge. Personal preferences are a different things, and in that point you are right. In our era we believe too much things are subjective, but when you start to work professionally you discover this is a lie.
@@JoeyAustin-ul1qb You actually make a really good point. Andor, as much as it is a slow burn, basically was passed over by critics and SW fans. I enjoyed it but fell short of loving it, the world building and script writing were excellent. It was the most efficient and effective script writing I've EVER seen in star wars. Everything had a purpose and was crafted carefully. If we only ever got stuff like this is would be hard to actively hate SW. But the pacing was off, even in episodes like the Heist. And without any use of 'The Force" some would argue it wasn't even SW but was merely set in the SW world. I don't think that's inherently a bad thing to have a fresh take. But we need more bold takes like this. My wife and many others were bored. I get it. After watching each new episode twice upon release, I went back and rewatched it once. It was good. I've actually put episodes on my TV on mute just to give it some more watches for the algorithm but I don't find myself putting it on repeat like I did with OT. Clone wars and rebels I could rewatch, but Andor doesn't have that rewatch factor.

With the degradation going on in science fiction and fantasy series/ movies I have gone starting to read more books.
I can really recommend it. There is a vast ocean of super imaginative original universes on offer in books. All without identity politics in there and much more creative and deeper than anything on offer on TV
Give it a try with Hyperion, Revelation Space, Children of Time, Stormlight Archive or Mistborn (last one if you want something big but easy to read) and you will be blown away.
As for Star Wars, cherish the memories of the old stuff. Rip off the band aid and accept it's dead.

GenX here. Speaking for myself, I consider the movies from the original trilogy the only ones worth cherishing.
True. I even really tried with I, II and III. I really did. Then after that it was just "what are you doing..." and gave up on it. This one certainly I'm not even going to try. They put a woman in it, and they made her gay, just like Kathleen Kennedy is devoted to doing.

I love the prequels, maybe because I was raised on them but I do cherish them myself. The plot of 1 and 2 is definitely iffy, but Episode 3 has to be some of the best plot in Star Wars ever.

Have you ever noticed that most black roles in movies or TV shows made by woke people have dreads but most black girls don't wear dreads in todays society. There are precise rules and criteria you MUST obey of you want to do a quality product, composition rules, photography techniques, color theory, story telling, character writing…. It doesn’t means you can’t create something original, it means true quality has characteristics you can recognize if you have right knowledge. Personal preferences are a different things, and in that point you are right. In our era we believe too much things are subjective, but when you start to work professionally you discover this is a lie.
@@JoeyAustin-ul1qb You actually make a really good point. Andor, as much as it is a slow burn, basically was passed over by critics and SW fans. I enjoyed it but fell short of loving it, the world building and script writing were excellent. It was the most efficient and effective script writing I've EVER seen in star wars. Everything had a purpose and was crafted carefully. If we only ever got stuff like this is would be hard to actively hate SW. But the pacing was off, even in episodes like the Heist. And without any use of 'The Force" some would argue it wasn't even SW but was merely set in the SW world. I don't think that's inherently a bad thing to have a fresh take. But we need more bold takes like this. My wife and many others were bored. I get it.
After watching each new episode twice upon release, I went back and rewatched it once. It was good. I've actually put episodes on my TV on mute just to give it some more watches for the algorithm but I don't find myself putting it on repeat like I did with OT. Clone wars and rebels I could rewatch, but Andor doesn't have that rewatch factor.
