Im having troubles on making Z scaling. Mac OS with m1 macbook pro. My other projects with instancing from color TOP - works, but monochorme - is not. =( It simply making boxes a bit bigger, but not scaling it like in your video with noise example...
@@Lumaa_Lex Glad you figured it out! I think I mentioned that later that 32 bit helps, and then you can decide how much to scale those boxes either with a Math TOP or by increasing the amplitude of the Noise TOP.
weird little thing, but i noticed that the rest of your grid goes dark when you change the res of the Fit TOP to 20 by 20 (with the exception of the square). whereas when I do that, the rest of the grid stays the same colour (white). do you know any reason for this?
Are you on macOS by chance? I know the shading between macOS and Windows can show slightly different results when using GPU processes, so I can offer a suggestion if that's the case.
@@AngusMacMinn In that case, it's a bit tough because I don't have a mac system to test, but I've heard odds and ends about viewer shading and instancing setups looking a bit different. I'd recommend adding a Render TOP after it, creating a light, and seeing how that looks.
@@TheInteractiveImmersiveHQ cheers, I’ve given that a try and added composited in a ramp to add some colour and am getting some cool results. Really awesome video btw! Always love your content ❤️
Thank you for discussing 8 bit vs 32 bit textures. Learned a ton. I’m excited to play with this!
No problem! It's definitely a topic that I think gets overcomplicated a lot and glad it was helpful to hear about in practice :)
EXACTLY what I needed, THANK YOU!
Great! Glad you enjoyed it! More fun content building coming in the next few weeks :)
Super cool
Thanks !

Oh! I Figured it out. On top side - I need to use math top to add more range. So the chain is - noise - math - fit - null
Nope! Correct line - Noise (or video device in) - fit (with 32bit float rgba) - math - null

@@TheInteractiveImmersiveHQ yes I actually am on MacOS!

@@AngusMacMinn Thanks! And glad you got it figured out and got it looking cool :)
