I couldn’t agree more with you Corbin regarding Anthony. No one’s ever a lock until they’re in the majors and regularly facing 98 - 100 mph heat and sliders that leave batters frozen in the batters box. But Anthony seems like the real deal! Yesterday i commented that I would have liked to have seen the Sox sign Teoscar but not if it any way slowed Anthony’s progress. Now I see a starting four outfielders of Duran, Rafaela, Abreu and Anthony. Maybe Abreu starting in right but Anthony getting every shot to overtake him or Rafaela. Still need a righty bat!

I cannot wait to see him in Boston. We should be excited about our prospects! We got some serious players!!! Flaunt it my good fellow !!! I love it. We just need to figure out how we are going to play everyone. Yes sir. I would love Bregman on this team as well. What about Hunter Dobbins? I like what I am reading and seeing about him. im leaning more towards keep him at triple a just to make sure the season he had at triple a is not a fluke. not saying it will be but to take a big jump from triple a to the majors right away its gonna be tough. i mean if hes ready for it go for it but keep him at triple a and if he dominates then bring him up

  • @paulscott6998

Anthony is just 20 yo. 6’2 200 lb. He’s going to fill out and add more weight and muscle. I don’t want to make things too easy for him. Make him work. So, I just don’t see him coming out of ST with a job. I’d like to see a bit more at AAA. RS need a 3B. Devers to DH. Bregman is the guy. He’s a perfect fit. If you get Boras to come down off 7 years to a 6 year 180 mil contract I think you snag him. Detroit and the Mets standing back in the tall weeds. The Mets are being used by Boras as leverage. Ha ha then you have Alonso being used against the Mets. A little chess being played. But if Bregman thinks the RS offer is good enough I think he’ll be a RS. His RH bat is perfect for the Green Monster. Championship player with an all star glove at 3B. Devers played himself out of 3B and there’s no room at 1B. He should be the DH. And don’t even think about Bregman at 2B. What a bad idea that is and Cora himself saying it. This is why I don’t like Cora 100%. He molley coddles his hispanic players. Clearly, Devers is no longer a 3B. Most errors of any 3B two years in a row. Cora tell him to give you his glove. Personally, I think the RS lost out on Fried because of Devers poor defense. So much pressure coming to a new city and having a big contract. Do you think Fried would put his mental health on the line dealing with Devers defense? There you go…

  • @scottharte19

You failed to mention Rob Refsnyder. With the glut of talent they have in the outfield, I still wonder why they resigned him. Having that right handed bat off the bench that can really hit lefties is great, but is it worth a roster spot when you have so many other talented guys? I still think that they will try to trade Abreu. It remains to be seen if Anthony can hit lefties at the big league level, so a right handed bat other than Refsnyder is a must.

    • @Bondagefetishstore
      @Bondagefetishstore 5 дней назад

I agree with you about Rob Refsnyder. He is a back up, happy with his job and he is good at it.
At second base they also have Hamilton who was decent there and could hit. I loved him running with Duran. The red sox will face more right handed pitching than lefties.

Promising although no doubt is his overall potential based on his
    Overall minor league
stats but he’s inky 21 and mlb & Sox history are full of prospects more heralded then Roman who didn’t make it

Agree that Anthony and Campbell could possibly be another Rice/Lynn dynamic duo. But I could not disagree more about Bregman. He wants way too much money and too many years for someone in his 30s whose numbers have been in slight decline, and whose walk rate mysteriously evaporated last year. The only way I want Bregman on this team is if he accepts a one-year prove-it contract.

Another great prospect is Kristian Campbell. If he can put a bit more launch into his swing, he could smash 25 dingers in a season. Hits the ball hard with great velocity. Yes, let's get the Bregman deal done. The Tigers signed Gleyber Torres, so Bregman should be ready to come to Boston. Not just a great baseball player but also will be good leader in the clubhouse.

  • @dougtaylor4465

I like what the Sox have done with pitching this off season. I wish we would still get a big right handed bat. But where do we play that bat? Don’t trade Cases yet. Give him a year to prove his bat. I’d like to see us get Bergman for second base but the Sox seem hesitant to spend any deep money. Don’t bring up Soto that was smoke and mirrors. In a year or two we put Campbell at second, Bergman at third and Devers at first or DH. We need to sign a couple young pitchers to extensions like we did Bello

  • @kevinstott3657

Great Anthony takes, agree 100%! To me Sox should absolutely sign Bregman for 2b. He can slide to 3b whenever Yoshida is traded. No Casas trades! (Nor the Devers to 1b talk which is idiotic and never happening! It's not a move where you take your most error ridden player and put him at the left handed batters hot corner and add bad throws and picks needed, this is Never happening) We should be looking to trade Yoshida, Sogard, Hamilton Gonzales, & Refsnyder in that order. We need to do this...
    Anthony for Refsnyder
    Bregman for Sogard
    Campbell for Gonzales
    Mayer for Hamilton
    Scott for any RP
and take your shot at Sasaki

Duran while not as great defensively is leaps ahead offensively. I think a trade needs to be made to make room for Anthony. Maybe that’s getting Arenado and making moving Masa so Raffy can DH

If Anthony dominates spring training as he has the minor leagues it will be difficult to leave him off the roster.
The challenge is the roster spot. I do not want the Sox to trade Abreau just to clear a spot. When they trade Abreau it should fill a specific need and yield a solid a return.
Rafael needs to figure out how not to chase. He hits well for average, with occasional power. If he can turn strikeouts into walks his OBP and therefore OPS will climb. Otherwise I think he becomes a super utility player (especially next year when Refsnyder is gone). That could create an opening for Anthony.

I don't think Anthony breaks ST with the team. They fully intend to see him get more ABs in AAA. This is because they don't feel any pressure. They have a crowded outfield right now, and those guys all provide their own contributions to the current team. Anthony must have a Jordan Walker-esque ST to force his way on the team. There have to be other moves made this offseason that could point to Anthony's ascension, and it all runs through Abreu. The Sox may figure out a trade for Arenado that includes Abreu and Helsley, but I wouldn't put any stock into that idea. I also hope Yoshida finds a good home. He is a good bat but doesn't fit with the team right now. If Abreu and Yoshida get traded, I can see Anthony having a great shot at it, but I don't think we will see him until late May, barring an injury.

Campbell is another prospect video you should do because I think you handcuff yourself by adding Bregman and there’s no room for Campbell unless story goes and cedanne at SS and Campbell in Of platoon?(if they get Bregman) I 100% think vlad jr is where the money goes next year. Stand pat with current roster and make a run at Jared Jones next winter to replace buehler/giolito contracts and see where the roster is at offensively at that point.
