A better way to remove grease/oil stains on cement is to use regular cheap kitty litter and a brick 🧱 Pour the kitty litter on the oil spot, then rub the oil grease spot with a brick. I’ve used Dawn dish detergent on grease stained clothing for decades and it always gets the stain out. It even will remove a grease stain that’s been overlooked and already been washed and dried. Hydrogen Peroxide gets rid of Blood stains as well. 👍

I would say check with your Vet first... especially with Cats. Cats are so sensitive to everything. Cats hate everything Citrus smelling. You’ll definitely get some hisses.
Marilyn I absolutely agree!!!! My Mom ran out of dog shampoo so she used dish soap on her poor little dog. She then called me 3 days later to find out what I thought could be making her itch so bad. Although rubbing a lemon on your dog will deter the fleas for a day or so it is not a preventative or flea killer. Get the right stuff to protect your pet.

Fill two buckets but add a couple of teaspoon fulls to one and give it a mix, pour them both in their separate holes at the same time.., you will be very surprised how quick the dishwashing bucket full disappears..., even better if the soil is hydrophobic. Next, make two shallow holes about 500mm round and 100mm deep, do the above experiment again..., wait 15 minutes and then see how far the water has penetrated the ground..., again you will be amazed). @ImNotMad ButUR Your statement is partially incorrect, sir. Urine is sterile and can even be used to clean out a wound, or drank in a dehydration situation. Although Urine filters toxins, as you stated, urine also contains uric acid and anti fungal agents which is why our USA military tells us to pee in the shower if we have an athletes foot fungal infection, or soak our feet in our own urine. The University of Arizona proved that urine cures athletes foot when soaked in it. That is why no one in our group has ever acquired athletes foot. It is definitely not an old wives tale. If you tell that to the University of Arizona, you will be their poster child for ignorance and failing to research before speaking.
I disagree with dish detergent on dog...it strips the natural oils in their coat and they can really get a irritable rash. I tried this, and it was a big wake up call...don't use this on your poor dog, it is designed to cut grease on your dishes, and will strip the oils from dogs coat....
Marilyn Watene i agree & it doesn’t actually work for fleas unless you allow it to sit on your pet for several minutes (which only enhances said oil stripping & the potential for skin irritations). Why chance it when u can get the flea pill from ur vet. I *think* the flea pill may have choices for dosing 1x every 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. Now dish liquid on animals is appropriate in certain circumstances (i.e., oil spills, tar mishaps, heavy greases, waxes, etc.) with moderation, but regular maintenance cleansing with dish liquid is a def no-go.
@@ashleyfalcon125 Flea pill, nearly killed my dog. It was almost a week before he recovered. I use Dawn dishwashing liquid on him, and have had no problems.
Dawn is the best to break down grease. Within the last year our county said it was ok to have a separate basin for grey water. This is awesome since septic should just be that. Having grey water storage is awesome! We can now use it to water lawns and flower beds. I do believe that this was a great move!!
The clogged toilet thing actually works, i can clog a wood chipper after roast beef night. you have to use a good amount , I use dawn dish washing liquid, wait until as much water has gone down that can and use a cup or maybe a little more and pour it right into the deep part so it goes down the drain hole, not the sides, Wait 20 to 30 minutes and pour a large pan of hot, not boiling water in the toilet and it usually works. Lil dawn in a quart water spray bottle kills mosquitos on contact, flies take a bit to die but they WILL die. Wasps & hornets also die quickly. Use a pump up garden sprayer to shoot the dawn mix on the nest & it dissolves the nest too. Great for thoes high nests up in roof top eaves. About a teaspoon per quart. When camping & getting bug mugged especially around the food table a fine mist shot into the air takes out all the nasties that come to join in. Hornets in particular hate being dawn misted. They fly off, land & lick themselves & drop dead. Kills just about any bug it comes in contact with.
I mix the original blue dawn with water and spray wasp nests at night when all of them are on the nest. I kill the entire nest and prevent being hit by one of them. Also, I apply it to ant beds in the yard. First spray around the mound to keep any from escaping and then saturate the whole mound. Very cheap to use.

I have thinning oily hair and I use dawn once a week to wash my hair. My hair stay clean for a week, looks thicker and stays clean and not oily for about 4-5 days. Hadn’t caused any dryness or caused my head to itch. I swear by it!
I only use about a quarter size amount.... I stopped using shampoo, I did try shampoo again after using the Dawn. But my hair got oily again within 2 days... my hair looks great, no damage that I or my husband can see.
Huh I have the exact same problem I'm gonna have to try this!!!!!!! I wash my hair even with more expensive shampoos and conditioners and nothing helps my hair looks greasy by the end of the day
If you put white corn syrup just a little bit maybe a teaspoon in your bubbles along with the soap in the water they will blow super pretty and extend the life of your bubbles too!
He says a drop or two of dish detergent in a load of laundry..she squirts like 3 seconds worth in the washer. That much will cause your washer to suds lock.
You didn't say anything about how AWESOME IT IS FOR WASPS... Get a pump sprayer and put about 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of dish soap in it and fill with s slow steam of water so it wont make alot of bubbles, screw the lid on and pump it up 15-20 times. When you spray wasps they will typically fall to the ground and crawl about 2 feet and game over for them. Make sure to set the spray head nozzle to a more of a shower type spray pattern and not a stream pattern. PS: DAWN BRAND WORKS BEST..
Any Auto Mechanic will tell you they use “Dawn” Dish Soap to clean any engine or transmission of old oil when rebuilding them in any Auto Shop! Only Dawn, nothing works better and most leave residue.

Sir, John......thats what rinsing is for.......After your down brushing your teeth with your million dollar tooth paste do you not rinse out your mouth afterwards because it will leave a strong taste of BS in your mouth?
On the grease stains on the driveway just cover the grease stains on a dry day and let it soak in, then leave it alone. The rain will do the rest and it will just disappear. If the stain is really bad with think grease it may take a second application but I've never had to. IT WORKS TheReaper!

Instead of dish soap on the dog use Suave or VO5 shampoo on the dog. Been using for 40+ years. No scratching, no dryness and no stink dogs. Every time I use a "dog shampoo" my dogs are miserable. Better yet, take the dog in the shower with you. Shampoo him, wash you and make him wait while you scrub yourself. Good training!
You can wash anything that can be washed with soap with dish detergent...floors, windows, counters bathrooms, clothing (Ivory liquid is great for delicates or pretreating).
I also use it mixed with water and spray it on plants to get rid of aphids and other insects. It's really effective if you don't like using heavy chemicals, especially on fruit plants .

I've heard of Using Dawn dish soap to wash your pet I've done that before when my cat had fleas. And they smelled really good afterwards. That's why they use it on ducts to get the oil off of them. The other thing you can use Dawn dish soap for maybe a couple of times a month is to actually wash your hair with it. Because the dish soap will get rid of all the Laird soap scum and everything that builds up on your hair. Of course you're going to want to use a really good conditioner afterwards and especially if you have long hair like me, when you wash your hair with Dawn dish soap and a really good conditioner your hair will feels so light and silky it'll become a regular thing. This had some good ideas.
I have a clean home but I live in farm country in the woods; sometimes it doesn't matter how clean your home is, they want in, they'll get in. It may be hard for them at first but it's harder sometimes getting them back out.
Blue Dawn dish soap kills fleas instantly on your dog but it leaves their fur stripped of natural oils so their fur will be a bit dry for a week but it does work.
My mates terrier got dandruff and eczema because he washed her with dish soap vet said it strips the oil from the skin and also recommended washing the dog only twice a year.
And use a hair conditioner after rinsing off all soap & rub thoroughly through your pets hair down to its skin. Then let it sit about 5 minutes, rinse & dry first w/towel then hair dryer on warm low, moving it around quickly so as not to burn them & don't blow it in their face, just use towel there. No dry skin & soft silky hair without the fleas. Been doing this all my life on all my dogs & cats; they love it!
Dish soap...shampoo...laundry detergent...hand soap..... At some point and other, I've substituted one of these for the other. Yes: each is formulated for its specifically intended use. Yes: each CAN sub for the other in an "Oh, snap!," moment.

I'm a couponer and have lots of dish soap...nice to know other ways to use it.
I have thinning oily hair and I use dawn once a week to wash my hair. My hair stay clean for a week, looks thicker and stays clean and not oily for about 4-5 days. Hadn’t caused any dryness or caused my head to itch. I swear by it!
Marti Linfert How much do you use & do you wash hair with shampoo after 4-5 days.

That much will cause your washer to suds lock.
where do you come up with these great ideas to create videos who else loves Facts Verse?
You didn't say anything about how AWESOME IT IS FOR WASPS... Get a pump sprayer and put about 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of dish soap in it and fill with s slow steam of water so it wont make alot of bubbles, screw the lid on and pump it up 15-20 times. When you spray wasps they will typically fall to the ground and crawl about 2 feet and game over for them. Make sure to set the spray head nozzle to a more of a shower type spray pattern and not a stream pattern. PS: DAWN BRAND WORKS BEST..
Now see there are the specifics I was talking about. Well done Virgie!
Any Auto Mechanic will tell you they use “Dawn” Dish Soap to clean any engine or transmission of old oil when rebuilding them in any Auto Shop! Only Dawn, nothing works better and most leave residue.

I rent my dwelling and the bathtub is painted. I find that using Blue Dawn to clean it works wonders and gets any oils out of the paint.
I also use Blue Dawn and Hydrogen Peroxide when my dog encounters a skunk. Magic skunk scent eraser.
I learned alot didn't know that dish liquid could do so much especially the toilet. Thanks alot for this information.
with the oil in the driveway, there is one other way of getting it off the concrete, get a bag of cat litter and pour some on the oil spots and use your foot to grind it on there and sweep it up and the spots will be gone. It works for me all the time
Regular sand will work also and it is usually free

If you’re making bubbles with dish detergent, you have to add a few drops of glycerin to it or it just makes foam.
5:11 i use to do that all the time for 7 years it works. when i was washing my hands and tools with dish liquid soap, thats when i see how great it is. i used it remove all stains on the ground
If you have a tub or shower that you don't want to use harsh scrubbing products on used Dawn dishwashing soap. I prefer the concentrated Blue one. It works unbelievably well with hot water; makes quick work of bathtub "rings".

Dawn blue dish soap works best for fleas. I’ve had animals all my 62 years I have tried everything, Dawn works better than anything else.
How much is 'some' dishwashing detergent???
On the grease stains on the driveway just cover the grease stains on a dry day and let it soak in, then leave it alone. The rain will do the rest and it will just disappear. If the stain is really bad with think grease it may take a second application but I've never had to. IT WORKS TheReaper!
grandma gets out of the car on a rainy day and breaks a leg-- junior rides his bike there and makes a monster face on the concreat are you the grim reaper ?
Remember powdered laundry detergent❓My grandmother use to use it for washing dishes... 🍽 🥣
Make sure you rinse you animals thoughly after the dish soap bath.
Danny White okay, thanks.
I once cleaned my driveway with Dawn dishwashing detergent. My car leaked oil all over the driveway. I used a horizontal broom and it looked new.
Peroxide also gets rid of blood stains too.
Be sure to soak really good..
Wouldn't it be better to put a band-aid on so you don't blood soak as much?
rubert134 Ur stupid xD
But don't use on colors that are not safe from oxidation. Peroxide is a mild bleaching agent.

I heard you can use it on tomato plants to keep those horrifying tomato worms off of them.
I do outdoor work. Landscaping, gardening and greenhouses. You are so spot on. I use that method. Effective, easy, rinses off well and no harsh chemicals. I grow my own herbs and some veggies

Add a spot of Glycerine to your bubble mixture for more staying power.
And it will also make the bubbles much stronger so you can blow them bigger.?
I tend to mix equal parts of dish soap and store bought bubble solutions together. This makes bigger bubbles. I made one about 10 feet one time.
Dont put dishwashing liquid in a dishwasher it will fill the room with bubbles haha
True, I did that, and the bubbles almost filled my entire kitchen floor. it was horrifying.

I have found ( DAWN )

If you have an infestation of flies in your house then you need to clean your damn house.
Steven.eloi8@gmail.com
And clean up all the dog poop from outside too. No poop no flies.
At least find what ever died.
I have a clean home but I live in farm country in the woods; sometimes it doesn't matter how clean your home is, they want in, they'll get in. It may be hard for them at first but it's harder sometimes getting them back out.
Want to get rid of house flies? Simply move to Siberia:)
Quickest way to unblock a toilet is to pour warm to boiling water. Be careful not to scald. But this breaks down the paper fibres.
You can crack a toilet bowl putting boiling water down it.
I put dish soap in my toilet all the time
It helps keeps the drain pipe clean
And also helps prevent clogged toilet and over flow

Anyone who's ever tried making playtime bubble solution knows regular dish soap and water doesn't work as you think it would.
When the screen says "don't worry about fogged windows", the narrator says "don't forget about fogged windows".
No any dish soap. Use Dawn!
Dandruff shampoo + conditioner
Feed the dog enough fat and they'll recover. Most people feed their dogs garbage.
Dish soap...shampoo...laundry detergent...hand soap..... At some point and other, I've substituted one of these for the other. Yes: each is formulated for its specifically intended use. Yes: each CAN sub for the other in an "Oh, snap!," moment.
Original "Dawn" dish detergent is the standard by which all other dish detergents can safely hope to match in cleaning power.
Just my opinion. :)
Bet that detergent works great on all the seals!!! Lmfao
Our niece staying with us for summer put dish soap in the rinse compartment of dishwasher. NOT a use for dish soap.
@Brian Haskins Bummer...my mother caught my niece doing the same thing but we headed her off before could....do tell, what on earth could of happened by doing that?
Throw a sos pad in if that happens, it removes the suds created by the dish soap.
Thank you for your money saving tips.
I have been using dishsoap to clean my bathroom for years. Sinks, bath tubs and toilets. It is actually cheaper mixed with water.
I mix concentrated dish soap with bleach and water in a spray bottle. You can buy the same stuff with a fancy name, but making your own is cheaper.
I'm with you! A little bleach goes a long way. There are viruses and bacteria that dish soap will not kill.
