Wow, not only are you the first to make a review about this wonderful case. But the most professional looking as well, in terms of clarity, explanations, suggestions, and visualizations. Kudos to you guys.
Great video with clear demonstration of features. I had the COSMOS II but I was sent a used/re-gifted unit. I was so pissed that I didn't want a replacement. However, after looking for something else I kept remembering how nice and easy this case would be to work on. After watching this video I’ve decided to give another try.
I just bought this case..If you buy it, I guarantee you, your first impression will be "holy shit, this is huge!". It it not only very tall, but it bulges outward, making it look like a mini-fridge. However it's a beautiful, stylish case, and the sturdy handles make it easier to transport.
***** yes i was answering to that, you can put the rad+push fans inside and pull fan on top under that mesh. or you can completely put the rad+push/pull set inside the case, it has tons of room.
***** it all comes down to the set-up (fans+rad) ur using, this case is tricky but doable, on that post that the guy says the 25mm fans won´t fit he failed to mention why, it´s not that they don´t fit on top it is just that 3x25mm fans won´t fit all 3, to put the 3 fans on top u need 2x25mm and 1x15mm cause the 3rd slot has a lower clearence due to the case´s plastic as you can see here on 4:03, but some 25mm fans with circular plastic instead of quadrangular fit with some presure, as for inside you can fit a push and pull 6 low profile fans for push and pull(6x15mm) BUT that depends on your board, if it has the heatsinks like high-end boards it will be near to impossible.
Wow! This case is so beautiful my jaw drops! I once saw the prototype of Cosmos II in July 2011 but this final product looks 100% better! Aluminum sidepanels looks freaking amazing! To bad I already have the 800D and I am sceptical that this case would fit under my desk.
I own the COSMOS II and I can tell you that it has plenty of room for everything you want. 15.5 inches of GPU length, more hard drive slots than you will ever need, 360mm top radiator slot and another 240mm optional bottom radiator placement. Not to mention that I didn't have to connect a single fan to my motherboard (saving my precious limited connections), as I connected them all to the case's fan controller (has enough connections for all the case fans). It is a beautiful case, yet heavy.
WOW! This is the only case Ive drooled over since i bought my 800D seven months ago. I love the duel radiator support. With my 800D i had to mod it to support a 240 rad for a duel loop solution. well thought out design never thought id see a case bigger than the 800D.
This is the most beautiful case ever made IMO, the problem is that with today's component design, you always want a nice side windows to admire your machine... But this very unique and awesome design wouldnt be possible with a side panel... or at leas, not as pretty.
wow u guys do a very good review. i watched a lot of review in youtube; one was even 45 mins long but u did a far better job in the 9mins u had...thank you.
Really nice editing and I love the shallow DOF glide shots. That being said, as a enthusiast and gamer myself, I can't stand people beating up this case just because the MSRP is $350. Look at the silverstone cases the one that I may have gotten was $500 bucks and didn't support the cooling options and HDD needs that I had to have gotten. Simply put, if you can't afford a over 3K setup, then you sure as hell shouldn't need a case such as this. I'll be doing a review and giveaways soon. thumbsup!
Jezz... I can only imagine how easy it is for the cable mangement, water cooling setup, etc. I literally just got my new case (Corsair Graphite 600t SE) just a few weeks ago and I'm starting to get jealous of this case! Maybe when I go through like 10 builds with my case I'll save up for something that amazing :)
One the Cooler Master forums they were asking if they wanted to see this, I'm pretty sure if you did get this case you could probably modify it so that it does have a side window, you would need a jigsaw, measuring tape and plexi glass for making a side window, although it would be hard getting through that 1 inch thick side panel. I hope I helped you in your little hope that they would make a windowed side panel.
I got my 650D for $120 and price was mainly the reason for not getting the Cosmos II at a retail value of $350. It's not necessarily "shitty" motherboards but lower end or last-gen X58 and Z68 mobos. I bought a Dual-USB 3 to 19Pin adapter for $4 for my 650D.
I'm currently using just a Push setup, from the top, through the radiator into the case, Not an optimum setup, but I only throttled my CPU up 1Ghz, far from peak, and what others have managed, but it stays nice and cool and I didn't have to exceed any of the recommended voltage settings for anything. and I have only seen it go above 42C under a long stint of Prime95. Most stuff wont push it over 40 :)
this seems like the only appropriate upgrade for my 8 year old tsunami dream from thermaltake, but sheesh i hope this goes on sale this november for under 200
this case is perfect u dont need a window for it cause well that case is that good that if u show it off ppl are going to know u got some damn good parts in it. it speaks for its self
I bought this case a few months ago. I really like it and am glad I bought it but there are a few annoying elements to it. 1. It can't house anything thicker than the thinnest triple rad (something like 35mm depending on the mother board but it's a tight fit) 2. The headphone jack on the controller on mine has a horrible 'noise' or interference that comes through your headphones. 3. The controller is notorious for making aftermarket fans 'click' Don't get me wrong tho. BEAST case.
Awesome video review, loved it! I am currently deciding whether to buy this or the Corsair Obsidian 800D, it would be fantastic if you guys could review it sometime. :)
The Storage drives in Raid-1 (so 3TB) have years of documents, receipts, taxes, papers, stories, layouts, designs, All of my graphics work, programs, Family pic scans, Photography work (RAW takes a crap ton of space, btw) 37ish GB of MP3s, e-Books, and a few low HDD use applications. It eats up quick when you are almost completely paperless.
it looks like it has the same flaw as my HAF X, small CPU cut-out for cooler back-plates. THAT was really frustrating to deal with but by no means was it a case-killer. I love my HAF X and the solution is simply to buy your CPU cooler when you get the case. lol great review btw. =) I like side-panel windows though. the area above the fans looks perfect for a window! lol if only i was skilled enough to make one. =/
Cosmos in terms of astronomy means the world or universe as an orderly harmonious system. Space also in terms of astronomy means unlimited/incalcuable great three-dimensional realm in which all material objects are located and time(events) occurs. I'm a student at CIT and my major in Stellar and Galactic Astrophysics. Oh, and I build computers.
This is the first computer case I have ever seen where I have said "this might actually impress my friends who care nothing for computers." If only I didn't want to buy an SSD over a new case...
i can see the situation whereby I'm removing, cutting, or drilling parts of the case to meet my water cooling requirement. i might as well go for caselabs which has not much difference in the price. :)
@TheDJVAQ lol where have you been?, look at every case on u tube they are all clear panel with LED fans and cathodes.I get so many compliments on my super LED df-85. i do like that cool master case though.
He's actually right you know, but his comment has some overall arrogance. For some reason it's taken them almost 2 years to finally start using USB 3.0 more in place of 2.0. As always, it's great to see backwards compatibility, nothing's worse than buying a new thing and not being able to play the older one *cough*olderPS3*cough*
let's face it,if somebody buying this pricey case, then that person would probably buy a motherboard that already has a usb 3 internal pin. great review btw :D
i managed to fit my x99 Gygabite gaming G1 on a Thermaltake Chaser a31, you could go and get this one or the Full ATX version, the a71, great cases for their price, mine costed less than 100 usd and i would even say that it is just as good as the Noctis 450 from NZXT
Check again, there is room for 11 internally and 2 in the hotswap bays. I am running 4 3TB spindle drives and 2 512GB SSDs in mine. And I have maybe 1 TB left
I was up for this case until I saw Corsair 900D available for the same price in here To be honest cosmos 2 looks like something from Star Trek BUT it's big for nothing You can't fit in a 480mm rad There's no window panel so that watch ur expensive components running It's almost as big as Corsair 900D from the outside but inside the space is totally wasted so why is it big for ? Basically get 900D to get more worth from your $$ and it looks elegant too One can fit upto 5 radiators (2*480,1*360 and 2*240/280 rads) So I don't see the point of getting cosmos 2 over 900d unless one is only up for looks
The Phanteks though are amazing, especially the new one, the Enthoo Primo and the Evolve tempered glass edition, the Be Quite! Dark Base 900 are amazing too
Why would someone install 480mm radiator? Trying to tell people that Cosmos 2 sucks because it doesn't support 480mm radiator? Are you fucking stupid? You can remove hard drive panels to make it bigger as the bottom part where is power supply. Also you can always buy modded window panels if you didn't know, not all of us want to see inside of the case like it's some sort of mine filled with shiny diamonds. This is BATMAN's case, not pussy case for hipsters and losers.
Maybe I was being a little extreme with the "shitty", but this is 2013, enough with the cases built around usb 2 motherboards. I was on a bit of a budget at the time I was looking for cases and that just annoyed the hell out of me lol. I went with the HAF XM in the end.
Coolermaster needs to come out with a successor to the ATCS 840, and hopefully cheaper than this, because at this price a TJ07 would be a better choice for watercooling and modding
I really dislike those bundles of unnecessary wires that extend from the front like spaghettis... They can easily make a hub behind the motherboard tray instead, for any extra fans.
goddamn I want this case...in the middle of building my own gaming rig. Too bad I already have a chassis, the Antec Df-85. If I didn't already have it, I'd go ahead and get this Coolermaster, because I literally cannot see any negatives about it.
I had a problem where install Crosshair v formual and h100 cooling unit. Fan of h100 block a way top of the case. Now i set it fan at out side of case top air in to the case for now. Im gonna research little bit more and change the location of h100 -_-;; other then that fine case. Case 9/10 wire 9/10 Case wire 6/10 (too many) out of control management at first time build. plastic 70% aluminum 30%
1:49 NITPICK OF THE CENTURY. Seriously, its not a windowed case, why are you worried about the colours of friggin fan cables. Moreover, different colours is better than straight black ones as you can identify each one of em without flipping around the tine tags
Main Drive (1 of the 512 SSDs) has my windows installation, Office, Adobe Suite, Coding Software, Audio Software, and Hosts My VMware Player with a Win 2008 R2 and RHEL VM both at 100GB, and a smaller 40gm VM that I use to check out other OSes or use for testing. The Second SSD Hosts my Steam and Origin (Grrrrr) account software, games library, and is the home of my Minecraft server.
@IAMTHEPROCESSOR Actually the free case was a cooler master one that has filters for dust as well. I know that this caters to people who simply want the best, but to me I have a kick ass computer with a CPU still considered the best price/performance wise until Ivy Bridge comes out for $50 less than this case just boggles my mind XD
@Chipicao999 I was thinking the exact same thing. If I were buying this, It would be for an extreme system, with all the bells and whistles; not for aged hardware.
Asom vid Guys But i would like to know why arent there any vids on anything Aerocool Cases???..........As an Enthusiast i would like to see how my Case wraps up ...Aerocools BGS-B Evil Edition????
unless you want to put 3 million things in here no. I have a 600t and upgrading to this b/c of SLI, more hard drives, fans, etc.. The 600t would be the best buy because it has full tower features and there's a lot of upgrading that you can to with the case.
@MidNiteR32 I bought an 800D on sale for $189.00 on Newegg about 3 weeks ago. Does everything this does but better. Sure the front panel and power panel is awesome but c'mon!
I’ve been searching for this case for 6 months! and haven’t found it yet. Such a dream to own one of these
i got mine today, it is my dream case since the launch
Wow, not only are you the first to make a review about this wonderful case. But the most professional looking as well, in terms of clarity, explanations, suggestions, and visualizations. Kudos to you guys.

This has to be the fifth review I've watched for this case. I can't wait until my next build so I get to use one!!!

Still one of the nicest and very best out there. Looks fantastic
This case would SICK! with yellowy, orange LED's and fans :DD Especially with the hexagonal design of the mesh and stuff.
I think this is the best case i have seen so far...the possibilities.
I've had this case since it came out its solid , just wish I had the clear side panel which seems impossible to find.

I'm curious about whether or not my Corsair H110 will fit into this.
Is this the Midnight Black Model? I can't tell if it's silver or just the lighting but I can't find any Silver Models for sale.
Awesome video review, loved it!
I am currently deciding whether to buy this or the Corsair Obsidian 800D, it would be fantastic if you guys could review it sometime. :)
It's just the normal one, and I think there is only one model, the exterior finish is really high quality and makes it look like that.
tj11, this, had-x or the 600t grey edition? Everything with white LED's..
Oh, and I build computers.
@TheDJVAQ Point is, without a clear panel u cant show off parts, when i first bought my 6990's i wanted the world to see.

should i get this or the silverstone TJ11 or the corsair 600t?:D
hardwarecanucks should really expand the reviews they do, since they make the best! please do motherboard, GPU PSU etc reviews aswell! :D
He's actually right you know, but his comment has some overall arrogance. For some reason it's taken them almost 2 years to finally start using USB 3.0 more in place of 2.0.

Is it a 120mm rad that you can fit in the bottom?
dose that mean i could fit 360mm water cooler into this ? beacuse that size they have 3 fans ?
Yes, Quite easily I would Imagine, I have a H100i and still had room in the top for another 120mm fan.
Thanks for the review, very nice loved all the details!!!
I have the one of the original Cosmos Cases (Cosmos 1000). i'm thinking about getting this thing because i need room for 3 way SLI.
I got a Fractal Design Arc Midi, and I am happy.
Is that a silver version? Or is it just the lighting making it look like that? And if it is a silver version, does anyone know where I can buy it?
it's a nice case and all, but for that price i would really recommend the enthoo primo, it's cheaper and have better support for watercooling
lol better yet; it has a window
Mr. Potat well i did a side panel for this case myself at home.
let's face it,if somebody buying this pricey case, then that person would probably buy a motherboard that already has a usb 3 internal pin. great review btw :D
i want it... i know this was posted in 2012 but they are hard to find
Noah Vang i found one used for like 170$
There's Amazon and E-Bay for ya.
so is this a black case or what colour is it?
it looks different colour compared to amazon.com
This or NZXT Phantom 820 or other case(I need an EATX for my MSI Godlike Carbon)
i managed to fit my x99 Gygabite gaming G1 on a Thermaltake Chaser a31, you could go and get this one or the Full ATX version, the a71, great cases for their price, mine costed less than 100 usd and i would even say that it is just as good as the Noctis 450 from NZXT
good looking
i love the handle ONLY !
Check again, there is room for 11 internally and 2 in the hotswap bays. I am running 4 3TB spindle drives and 2 512GB SSDs in mine. And I have maybe 1 TB left
finally freaking awesome i am getting this case no matter what
Can we get a version of this case but for a mid-Tower config?
Now we need this windowed and with proper 480mm/top 240mm/front and 2x360mm/bottom support and it would be worth the spend.
I was up for this case until I saw Corsair 900D available for the same price in here
To be honest cosmos 2 looks like something from Star Trek BUT it's big for nothing
You can't fit in a 480mm rad
There's no window panel so that watch ur expensive components running
It's almost as big as Corsair 900D from the outside but inside the space is totally wasted so why is it big for ?
Basically get 900D to get more worth from your $$ and it looks elegant too
One can fit upto 5 radiators (2*480,1*360 and 2*240/280 rads)
So I don't see the point of getting cosmos 2 over 900d unless one is only up for looks
Yeah but this a year older than a 900D
***** Meh I'm happy with my Cosmos II will set me for the future for air cooling :)
This is BATMAN's case, not pussy case for hipsters and losers.
shit, still better than most of the cases in 2017!!!!!
Can you tell me something I can put in those vertical PCI Slots?
Does it have real dust filter or only meshes? I saw just mesh, but maybe its beacuse i cant play higher resolution (shitty internet)
Last time I check Cooler Master was selling them on their website
Man this case popped up on 3 different channels I'm subbed to
Damn how long did you have to work to get all that?
Do you use push/pull on your h100?
Great case the water cooling options sell it self, but most gamers want a super crazy LED case though.
It looks great. The only thing I don't like is the two top handles. Otherwise, I love it.
what a beast computer! i wish i had your build!!!!!! OMG I JUST CAME!
i will put alot of light in this case it looks sweet and alot more i will be getting this case for sure
Does that case include water cooling?
That is an awesome case. I like it better than my 800D
Maybe I was being a little extreme with the "shitty", but this is 2013, enough with the cases built around usb 2 motherboards. I was on a bit of a budget at the time I was looking for cases and that just annoyed the hell out of me lol. I went with the HAF XM in the end.

could you tell me any fan that have LED connector please?
@RATSHADY 350 Euros
1 Euro=1.303 USD, so it's around 450 is dollars US.
"It's heading towards that moon!"
"That's no moon, it's the Cosmos 2"
At that price point it should come with a couple more fans as well as cable sleeving. Nice case though.
Damn I want this so bad but its $360 plus $50 in shipping to get it here in Australia from an Australian retailer
I'm freaking addicted to their background song.
I had a problem where install Crosshair v formual and h100 cooling unit.
Fan of h100 block a way top of the case.
Now i set it fan at out side of case top air in to the case for now.
Im gonna research little bit more and change the location of h100 -_-;;
other then that fine case.
Case 9/10
wire 9/10
Case wire 6/10 (too many) out of control management at first time build.
plastic 70%
aluminum 30%
if anyone wants a case that can actually fit stuff either get casemods cases or the corsiar 900d
Please review the Rosewill case Thor v2 =)
No support for mini-itx boards? :(

Can i get a windowed version of this
Like your camerawork.
it looks silver but is it black??
For that price they could've at least included a Lock for the side panels, like with the hot swap drives at the front.
is this case still viable in 2018
@Nayr907 think about RAID (especially RAID6 setup) for maximum data redundancy
@IAMTHEPROCESSOR Actually the free case was a cooler master one that has filters for dust as well. I know that this caters to people who simply want the best, but to me I have a kick ass computer with a CPU still considered the best price/performance wise until Ivy Bridge comes out for $50 less than this case just boggles my mind XD

This case is beautiful!!
Asom vid Guys But i would like to know why arent there any vids on anything Aerocool Cases???..........As an Enthusiast i would like to see how my Case wraps up ...Aerocools BGS-B Evil Edition????
Professional review with silly music as always .
Abdo M I really like the music to be honest
unless you want to put 3 million things in here no.
A quality review, as always. Love it.
