@stuffedx18 We compared it to the Cosmos 1000 which was the FIRST Cosmos case. The Cosmos S was the next case released the next year. The side panels are interchangeable between Cosmos 1000 and Cosmos S which means they are the same size. The Cosmos II is 20% larger than both.
@port274 We were actually told by Cooler Master how it was supposed to work well in advance of receiving our review sample. Not sure why no one listened :)
The Cosmos II is not $149. The Storm Trooper is $149 on special to celebrate Cooler Master's 20th Anniversary. Sorry if it wasn't more clear in the reply above.
Sounds good and the part I really liked about the new fan controller was the solid black cables instead of the multi-colored ones on the old fan controller. Have fun with the case it's an awesome case when it's finished :)
Actually it's pretty easy to replace the fan controller on top when you get the new one. It's just two screws on top under the top filter and then two ground screws under the housing. Undo all your fan, mobo power cables, usb and usb 3.0 cables then pull it off. My fan controller replacement got damaged by UPS when it was shipped so I had to do a few extra steps to get the new fan controller installed, but it works like a charm and no more flashing fan LEDs.
Yup. There is an upgraded module available for all CM Cosmos II users. You just need a serial number. CM customer service can take care of that for anyone who wants one. But the green PCB version won't explode if you continue to use it :)
I have the Cosmos S and this new Cosmos II is making it very tempting to upgrade. Thank god they included a cutout for the motherboard. I like that fact that they changed the orientation for the hard drives. Better cable management. I'm hoping for a Cosmos II S
We agree it's very easy. We did it on an empty case recently. But when you have everything cable managed away and zip tied down, it can be a bit of a pain to undo everything. But it isn't hard, no.
There's a weird "pulsing" for LEDs. If you don't use that function at all, or have your own fan controller installed, then ask for the new part just in case and enjoy.
yea they wanted a pic of it as well, there out of stock though cm are saying 2-4 weeks for delivery so i will not build the system into that till i get it. explode? thought it was a volt issue to the leds.
There's space for a single 120mm fan in the bottom compartment. There is only space for either a 200mm or 140mm. Can't stack your 140s unfortunately without modding.
Just looked at it and it's drilled for 3x120 and 2x140mm. There is space for a third 140mm, but you'll have to drill for it. A THIN 360mm rad will work. A 420mm will mount, but you'll want to drill a couple more holes to secure properly. If you want to go with rads that big, then you should be looking at the Switch 810. $200 cheaper. Accommodates much thicker radiators. The Cosmos II is kind of limited in this respect.
hey great vid, if u mount a 360mm rad to this case will it hinder the use of the first dvd drive bay or is there plenty of room to fit a rad and dvd drive? Thanks for ur help.
yea i no what you mean with it having a split section at least the side fans are just cooling the gpu's and mb,well i got it and requested the replacement fan controller there is a issue, if you have the green pcb it needs changing.
The Cosmos II is a beautiful case. Everyone that comes by our office has a long look at it. The 900D is a far better water cooling case. Given the minimal price difference, and if water cooling isn't an issue, go with whichever one you like the look of. Both are solid.
@vito670 With a combination of the right sized radiator and fans, you can accomplish push pull at the top and at the bottom (ie: thinner components). But you'd be better off running a full sized radiator instead of a thinner one if you had to decide between the two. There's a lot you could do with this case. It's made for liquid cooling.
i have Cooler Master Cosmos S since 2008 and the 2 biggest bad things are: 1. cable management is still terrible 2.to put big air cpu coolers you have to take out the big side fan on the panel and final when is Cosmos 2 S coming out
@Hedll The Cosmos II is truly an experience. But if function and value matter more, the HAF X isn't bad, but the updated Strorm Trooper has more features and is a little more future proof at a similar price. CM recently dropped the US retail to $149 in celebration of their 20th anniversary. You can also try to win this case in our latest contest posted to our channel :)
@wickedout2010 - It's a mixture of Aluminium and Plastic. The side panels are Aluminium. Front is Plastic, and of course the case is Steel. Quote from Coolermaster Global Site - "Brushed aluminum and steel for strength and elegance. "
A proud owner of one of these beasts. Quite a shame about the fan controller though. Flawless in every other way. One note though: I fitted 2x Corsair AF120 Quiet's to the side panel but didn't notice the slightest difference in terms of temps. Is it me or should I sell off the otherwise very good fans?
$350 is a bit much for me. It's a wonderful case and well worth it, but I'm gonna see if I can catch it on a sale somewhere or wait till the price drops. Still, if I do get it, I have no doubts this behemoth will last me forever, which I love. It's big, it's stylish, and it looks like it can take a beating. A beatiful, but practical case. Really wish I can get it.
i kissed a cosmos 2 and i liked it the taste of its water cooling options it felt so good it felt so right dont mean im in love tonight im going to get this case for my new build when tax time roles around
There should be a lot of things on this case at this price agreed. But nothing looks like it once built. It's really quite beautiful, but limited in many respects.
you say twice that there are 140mm x 3 support in the top! are you sure about this? the product only states 3 x 120 or 2 x 140! I want to know as i have a 420mm radiator and if what your saying is true then i can mount my 420 rad in the top and get this case rather than the switch 810 because this case shits all over it!

This is the best review I've seen on this particular case, The Cosmos 2, good job man.

It's not a review. It's just a hands on overview and we addressed that many comments down already. Thanks.

On the front, would two 140mm fans fit vertically there after I take out the 200mm? Or one 120mm fan below the 200mm fan?
can you remove the front slider so your drives are always accesible and the front fan gets its air?
nice case but no 140mm side fan support? there should be an option for that price
Best overview I've seen on RUclips

@1and1isme it such a nice case, it wants to stand ON the desk, not UNDER ^^

Extremely good video, and very well presented.
@MrMilan90 Nice find! Must be a designer "easter egg".
A proud owner of one of these beasts.

I've never seen the 1000 next to the Cosmos II before. The II absolutely towers over the 1000 O:
I can't find this case for $149.
i was never a fan of cosmos 1000. but this one is neat. i think im gonna get this someday.
i just bought one for £100, its pretty fucking neat
Nice. Good for you. :D
@Futurelooksdotcom push pull is not possible for top part :(
yea CM us did a vid to replace it , dead easy have it off already .thanks for the reply.
900d is a bit bigger, but cosmos ii has more features. they are about the same price.
Exactly why we're not touching ours. It's staying built till it gets rebuilt :)
just bought one yesterday :)
Now, that is going to be hard to top !! O.O
Good video. Thank you.
Awesome!!!
This is probably one of the best cases ever made, EXCEPT for the friggin price. I'll just buy an SSD...
I thought I would regret buying the cm storm trooper but after seeing the price of this I don’t.
good review well done
Nice review, keep up, subbed:)

i kissed a cosmos 2 and i liked it the taste of its water cooling options it felt so good it felt so right dont mean im in love tonight
im going to get this case for my new build when tax time roles around
@Futurelooksdotcom thanks....i got it
actually i want to work some unboxing and review work here in India. Thanks

Does this mean I wont see you cheating on your Cooler Master with a Corsair any time soon?
you say twice that there are 140mm x 3 support in the top! are you sure about this? the product only states 3 x 120 or 2 x 140! Nice Brother , idem Nasa Satellite!

@66Metalforlife66 You wrong man this is one of the best Chassis...
@BuckeyeBlitz614
23/01/2012 its coming from what I've heard of forums.
@prayas00 It's part of the branding you get when RUclips inducts you into their Partner Program :)
i think there sending the whole unit on top of the case and wires. i just hope i can move the dam thing once built lol
Waiting on that review* ;D
@Futurelooksdotcom Tnx :) yea you right...
Okay. Thanks. :)
You can pull it off but you might not be able to put it back on. It's finicky.
Uhm mr sir, the top take 3 120mm fans, 2 140mm fans or 1 200mm please get ti right if you're going to make a review.
You can only hold 2 140mm fans on top, not 3
O.O Very nice.
900D isnt out yet and fuck it its just a fucking PC case lols
have fun !!
3:12 eSATA face :)
@sokrutu It will probably break my desk Lol..It weighs 50lbs empty..

Buen video, pero ese chino es como caga.

Will not buy it! $350 is pretty steep for a fucking plastic case!
you should do a giveaway of that case. because there are many people out there that want that case also
