@@PatriceMarjoriethank you! And I plan to keep them in for two weeks since I did them a few days ago,but I might wash them today though since my scalp feels a little itchy
@@PatriceMarjorie I kept some twist in for five weeks. I recently took them out and my hair grew an inch. I got my first trim before doing the twist and grew out that trim. I love twist now
I wash my hair every 2 months because I do my own protective styles that take a while and dead having to do it again. I would go back to wigs if I found the right hair. Then I could go back to every two weeks
I currently finger detangle to remove shed hair with an oil and put my hair in chunky twists before shampooing. After shampooing, I finger and comb detangle my hair using MICHE leave-in and lots of water (it literally melts tangles and my hair loves it). I twist each section with a moisturizing mousse or hair grease-depending on if Im doing a twistout in a few days after or just leaving my twists in for 2-4 weeks as a "protective" style. I unravel, remoisturize with my leave-in and grease after 2 weeks if I leave them in as "protective" style. My hair is nip length and ranges from 3c- 4c along with some kinky waves in the front of my hair ( no heat damage). Wash and gos are NOT giving with all these different textures so I stick with fluffy twistouts as a go-to style 😂. I currently don't use heat unless it's my Revair that I have only used twice.
@@naoxmi21 I MAY deep condition once every 6 months, if I have time, just to pamper myself. My hair stays fortified and moisturized with the products I use (MICHE leave-in cream) and I don't use heat. I rarely need a trim. I dust once every 6 months. I also have a very healthy diet; I workout and drink lots of water. My hair is very healthy without the extra step of deep conditioning🙂
Thank you for sharing! I will have to try MICHE. And, I totally agree w/ you regarding not doing wash & gos. I never wear that style. I’m so curious about using grease. Like many others, I grew up using it on my hair all the time but haven’t touched it since k was about 12 haha. How do you like using it as a moisturizer now?
@@PatriceMarjorie Hi! I use it moreso as a sealer than a moisturizer but it does soften my hair. The MICHE leave-in is my moisturizer. Once I found that product, I threw all my other moisturizers and various stylers away. The only thing I use on my hair now is water, leavin-in, occasional oil for shed hair removal and mousse. The only downside is that you have to order the leave-in but it's worth every penny. I only use a light amount grease on the strands of my hair, I haven't tested it on my scalp yet. Funny enough, I just recently started back using it after watching AfrickanHairGod's channel. I'm glad I did! Your hair is gorgeous!
