Grooming a cocker spaniel. Home grooming.

- In this video, I demonstrate how I groom Arrow, my 11 year old English-American Cocker Spaniel:
1) Combing/Brushing (~10 min) - 0:15
2) Clipping (~20 min) - 1:51
3) Ear cleaning (~15 min) - 3:30
What's shown is grooming done monthly after a dog's shower.
What's more important but is not shown is intermediate grooming between showers, which include combing, de-ticking/de-fleaing, ear cleaning etc.
Enjoy, and don't forget to give it a thumbs up!
*EDIT: Arrow was suffering a bad ear infection, which explains the dark substance in his ear at the ear-cleaning section (3:30), which would clog up his ear in a few days. It was actually an event that got me thinking about making this video in the first place, and I have definitely taken steps to try and prevent it from occurring. I seem to be gravitating toward using an oil-based ear cleaning solution than a water-based one (the one shown in the video is water-based that the vet prescribed for his ear infection) that I suspect could explain the ear infection. The oil based product I currently use is just below under the dog-grooming kit list. Arrow hasn't had another infection since I switched.

Every dog owner should groom their dog/dogs effectively, responsibly and skillfully. This ensures a dog's health is well taken care of also prevents pain and suffering that they might otherwise experience without it. Potential dog owners who are unprepared for such a responsibility should avoid adopting one, not to even mention adopting a Cocker Spaniel (high-grooming needs!).
*Note to potential owners: Cocker spaniels are one of the most difficult species to keep for several reasons:
1. They grow a lot of fur, needing regular combing
2. They grow a lot of fur, requiring frequent trimming
3. They drop lots of fur
4. They have long ears, hence are most susceptible to ear problems.
Nevertheless they are the cutest, adorablest and sweetest breed. :D
