Just remember when it comes to rust on an old classic, think of the ice berg principle, what you see 'above water' is tripled by what you can't see below the surface, hope its not that bad. I'd keep the colour!!!! don't change it (too many are changed to red etc) and these Midgets of this era look so good with the round rear wheel arches.
Should keep you out of trouble for a good while. Might be worth putting it on a rotisserie if you’re planning on doing lots of welding and paint stripping. Makes things much easier.
