From the actual Wedge in Newport Beach, you can turn your head and see Dale's amazing Chinese Style house on the bay. Dale's not here physically, but lots of stuff from him remains.

This has always been my favorite of his songs. Any time someone says that his songs are simple, or that he wasn't that great of a guitarist, I play this song for them and they shut right up. Thanks for demystifying it for me. You're about to get a 100 plays while I try to learn it. lol

Great playing as always. Nice choice. Richard Dale was one of the only players that I know that was not only a lefty but played the guitar ‘strung’ upside down…you do an amazing job recreating that in regular/ normal playing.

When I lived in California in the 90's I saw an ad for Dick Dale in concert so my girlfriend and I being huge surf music fans get tickets so we are at this small odd outdoor venue surrounded by much older people with snow white hair and then over the speaker they announce "Ladies and Gentlemen you know him from the Lawrence Welk Show, Dick Dale" it was another Dick Dale neither of us knew existed!! We laughed so hard couldn't stop laughing probably the funniest moment of my life. ... lol 🤣
