Sounds nice. Do you think (feel) that the optical comp. is maybe too slow for EDM music, just to used it as a bus comp, to glue things up or it's fast enough. I know it has a blend knob so there's no problem in general but still, your opinion ... Thanks.
@@pupkid8613 Yes, of course, I would just use it as a "color box" with just a little of bus compression before going into "all in" mastering chain. I work outside computer DAW on a workstation and use computer only for final mastering; it's 99% top of the line mastering chain for me, the only thing missing is some "lifeness", more depth and wideness (analog magic) before entering the digital computer scene. I almost get there also with computer software but it takes hours and hours (days) back and forth and I have enough of that. :)) I was also looking at SSL Fusion, but I think this is way better. Thanks.
@@b.hornetiii.6771I think it sounds incredible - definitely next on my list, but I've moved studios so all my money has been spent on tube traps and panels for now... next year! that and a Goly COMPEQ which I think sounds amazing for getting movement and life back into mixes, especially on drums
sounds incredible even on laptop speakers
Nicely done!

it has a side chain and parallel blend - perfect for adding colour / density - but it won't be able to be the only compressor you use for dance stuff

I have ordered one and plan on using it in unison with my WA Bus-Comp for the faster attack compression when needed
Does this unit cover mids with saturation?
are you using analog summing in this video?
nope. straight stereo into the box and back
