    📍The HEADPHONE outputs on the rear are TIED to the XLR outputs for routing. This is shown in the video & no matter what your Sweetwater sales engineer told you, they are not separately assignable! 📍

      such a pitty - so too less outputs for a typical monitoring situation of 4...5 musicians (Stereo Master plus 4-5 Stereo Monitors)

    • @BenjaminRCook

      Lmao so you have the X32 Rack with individually assignable 8 XLR + 6 TRS outs... and the Wing Rack has only 8 assignable outputs.
      Massive L by Behringer. The headphone outputs are a joke. Give me 8 more XLRs.

      @@DcSoundOp wtf? Damn.. that’s a massive L 🤦🏾‍♂️ I can imagine a lot of situations where bands or acts would use the HP outs just for in-ear monitoring, while sending the XLR outputs to front of house SEPARATELY lol

      I initially thought this was a bad idea, and it would have been better to have them as separate outs, but upon thinking about how I'll use it I came to the conclusion that the Wing Rack is in the rack (duh) and the stage box is on the stage... so I will use the headphone outs to feed wireless IEMs in the rack and assign the main or wedge outs to the stage box. I have a feeling many will do the same, though all of the folks who run a Wing Rack and nothing else will surely find this limitation pretty much makes the physical headphone outs useless.

    Both WING RACK and COMPACT run completely silent without needing extra cooling. However, for customers in tropical climates or when you are using less ventilated racks, a matching fan with mounting hardware can be ordered through your dealer. WING RACK is already equipped with a fan power connector on the PCB. COMPACT doesn't offer this option. Hope, this helps! -Goetz

    • @jouebien

      @@calebgebhard7863 unlikely Dante doesn't include a speck for remote control so each manufacturer produces there own protocol for pre-amp control. Honestly I think it’s probably a bit too complicated for a lot of people, even seasoned engineers to get a grip on if it meets them at a club for the first time. The X32 rack is so much simpler, even musicians or people who haven’t had experience with a mixer can figure it out quickly.

    • @joesalyers
      @joesalyers 3 месяца назад

      @@filip.zivkovic Nah, its not that bad its just the interface needs some refinement. I think Behringer forgot about the early days of x32 when they introduced the X32 series they had a simple mode that was dropped by the 3rd or 4th firmware after everyone got the hang of that workflow. They should consider that for the WING. But its no more complicated than Yamaha, Digico, or Allen & heath. Avid Venue is considered the worst live system to learn by most live engineers I have encountered over the last 20 years. Basically the WING will overtake X32 as the best budget option and the new Waves LV1 Classic will be what you see guy with more money have. So WING in clubs and LV1 on tours.

    Thank you for the review! Great product! I’m curious about sound quality. Specifically the d/a conversion. X32 always was underwhelming driving studio monitors when comparing to even entry level interfaces. Didn’t mind the input quality, although certainly not the cleanest… wondering if it can replace a dedicated audio interface. Thanks!

    I'm ridiculously excited for this product!
    It looks like the stereo 1/4" outs on the rear are also associated with the XLR outs, though. Meaning, it seems you either have the choice of XLR AUX 1 & 2, OR the 1/4" 1/2 stereo out. Is that correct, or are the 1/4" outs their own separate mix from the XLR? God I hope they're separate.
    Thanks for the walkthrough!!

    • @jethri
      @jethri 3 месяца назад

      Yeah, I am understanding that each pair of XLR outs is linked to a stereo headphone out. So 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8. Same signal will go to both, probably all the time (hardware limitation, I saw someone post on another vid). My understanding is you can connect and will get signal from both XLR and 1/4” at the same time, but it will always be the same signals. If you see DCSoundOp’s screen when he discusses them, there’s only 8 destinations on that “local out” screen, and it has those headphone icons under each pair. Bummer!

      Hi, no your MADI card won't work in this and as far as I know there are no plans to make AVB networking a thing with these either. Your options are the built-in AES-50 SuperMac connections, adding a Dante card or waiting to get a Waves SoundGrid card that they have talked about releasing shortly. Hopefully that helps? Thanks for this video! My many concern is if the Wing Rack can be controlled with an XTouch when you need a few faders, just like the X32 has done for many years now. That has been my main reason for going with an X32 rack. So hopefully if it doesn't do that at this initial release it will soon.

    • @DcSoundOp
      @DcSoundOp  3 месяца назад +1
