I really feel that xenagos is a VERY odd cut. It creates some creatures, has a payoff for your many wolves, pays for itself and plays into the exile theme with his ult. Seems like a very useful card
Exactly. I put a gamble into this deck and I specifically look for Xenagos most of the time. Since you’re going wide already, you’re gonna be getting a lot of extra mana, then get a bunch of free cards
This build isn't using the commander the best imo. This direction seems more for Prosper, I feel like landfall is better, because a land in exile played gives you a wolf, urabrask slows down opponents as well as give wolf's haste to tap for mana with cryptolith rite or an anger would work since we discard a decent amount. Since we are landfall we also run additional lands so we should almost never have wasted in exile cards. Xenagos works too with this cause we will be making lots of tokens with our commander. Game enders? Well craterhoof is simple, but we can go infinite with ez gruul infinites that we can easily dig for with all the "draw" and mana refunding. Or we can head the vrondis route and burn out our opponents with tremors or purphouros and wolf spam. Parallel lives wouldn't hurt either. But my build is around the 300 range cause expensive cards lol.
@@davidmartinstowe6842 ? all the discard effects that send it to exile is a "may" ability. I have re made this deck now to better deck building and choosing a different route to win. I no longer include anger not because he isnt usable but I just dont need haste anymore, but if I did he is still very usable.
I play this deck a lot. I put Squee in it to get discard fuel, Apex obviously, Nyxbloom Ancient for maximum mana (it literally makes the deck get out of control), froghemouth exiles opponents graveyards, vigor helps create more defense, birgi but i play her horn side. There is also a vorinclex i may add as well. This deck gets out of control at times
I feel like ezuris predation is too powerful to get rid of. You keep all the beasts it makes unless they die in the fight. Twice now I've cast it with grumgully out so they are 5/5 so I end up with like 5 or 6 5/5 creatures and a semi board wipe
I fully understand that this is a budget upgrade. But Chandra, Torch of Defiance is going to show up in the higher budget build, right? Magewright's Stone and Thousand-Year Elixir to allow untaps on your commander, also? Maybe Instill Energy or Nature's Chosen? Conspiracy Theorist? Rift Sower? Grenzo, Havoc Raiser. Uba Mask, also.

Got rid of all the cards I used for a good combo to win my first game with the deck
