Thank you so much! I had this sitting in my car for a month because I thought it would be too difficult to change. You made it so easy!
You rock! I couldn't figure out how to get the remote open and I was afraid of breaking it. Your video walked me through step by step and you made it fun to watch. Thanks!
Thanks, Dan, I wasn't even sure it had a battery. Watched your video, (I also just happened to have a package of 2032s) and changed the battery slicker than snot on a doorknob. I walked out to my garage and the door was open, so I knew it worked. Tested it a few times and all's well. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for making this video! Getting the darn thing open was always ridiculously challenging - I can't believe how easy it was to do with the clip.
the above comment could have been written by me!
Thank you so much! Same problem here & thanks for the tip on not touching the top & bottom of the battery. Really appreciate the tutorial. Good job, and yes that was your cats' shadow!😀
Thank you Daniel! Opening it was so damn hard! Almost broke a nail trying to open it... Never knew that the clip would be the best opener!
Thanks, Daniel. Opening is the hardest part for most of us - we didn't know we already had the tool we needed! Also, I enjoyed your cat coming in to supervise!
+Paul Corcoran Yes, As soon as I saw the cat I thought, oh, my kind of man. Pretty cat.
/Paul hey I used a screwdriver years ago, and now it’s quite jammed. I tried using the clip, and that didn’t work either. Any suggestion
?
Your video on how to change my garage door opener was wonderful. I had been frustrated for weeks not knowing how to do it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thanks! Bought a house with a couple of dead-as-a-door-nail remotes, and you helped me to figure out what to do!
Same
Great instructions! I couldn't figure out how to open the remote. Thank you a 3 minute fix!
You helped me do this TWICE over the years since posting this - MANY thanks! :)
Great info! It was difficult to open the casing and I was hesitant to force it open, so that video put my mind to ease. Thanks.
I searched for the battery compartment for months. Thanks for the video. Didnt know I could short the battery by pinching it. Thx again
Thank you for taking the time to film this. It was very helpful for me!
Glad I came across your video, thought I had a disposable opener, could never figure out how to open it , reminded me of a live oyster
I watch you every time I have to change the battery. Thanks so much!
Thank you. I'm a recent widow and these tasks can be huge for me. Thank you!
omg, seriously THANK YOU! i couldn't figure out how to open the dang thing!!!
Thank you so much, Daniel! I was having trouble snapping the case lid back on. Your video helped me do it! You rock!
Very helpful! Also, digging the District 12 shirt and the cat lurking in the background.
Thumbs up. I was reluctant to pry the case open because it was going to take a lot of force and I did not want to break it. Now I'll just muscle on through. I also didn't know about shorting out the battery and will be careful of that. Love the cat!
Thank you!! The trick with the metal fastener is golden ;-)
(From E. Sandberg) Awesome video. great tip on opening the case...AND about shorting out the battery...which is probably what I did as my replacement is not working...who knew?? Thanks so much!
Thank you, Daniel! Your video was so helpful :-) I'd been at it for a while - trying to get to the battery.
Thanks! I never thought of using the clip to open the remote case. Helped a lot!
Very helpful. I got the batteries changed in both remotes in no time, thanks
Thank you so much! I pictured a AAA battery and something told me to look it up. So glad I did before opening it! We have the same remote so I'm off to get the battery. Thanks again!
Thank you for posting this easy to follow video. I really appreciate it.
I was literally just pulling out of my driveway to the store when my battery died and found your video for my garage door opener. Thank you?
I'm havin trouble puttin the cover back on. U guys make it look so easy.
Thank you very much I had no idea there was a battery in the remote. That explains why I'm having a hard time opening and closing the door sometime it works and sometimes it doesn't. Thanks again
Excellent helpful video, and LOVE your cat showing up to oversee...even when removed, the cat returns!
THANK YOU for this video! It was more helpful than you could ever know. Who knew replacing a garage door opener battery would be as mind boggling as it was? Sheesh 😂🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤣
Thanks for the video. Nice that it comes with the tool. I didn't know about shorting the battery by touching the top and bottom...I have a lot of devices that use those types of batteries
Perfect. Thanks man. Just what I needed. Now the lovely wife is happy. Blessings.
Thank you so much. I didn't think of a battery was going to call garage repair because the door was acting so bizarre and light would not go out. Anyway thanks for giving me the simplest and least expensive approach first.
Thanks for helping. The hardest part was trying to open it...good job!
so, being the queen of google, and fighting with an obviously dying garage door opener battery, I found this video. PERFECTION! Thank you so much from a little old lady in Idaho! I can do this :)
Thank you!! So simple, yet I always forget.
Kitty in background is cute. Thanks for video. I couldn’t get the case open so Tip was awesome.

Getting the battery out of e package is the hard art. Thanks!

+PAMELA LAMMERSEN Yep... little did I know how useful this video would be... almost didn't film it. Glad to be helpful.
PAMELA LAMMERSEN me too thought I needed to buy a whole new one somehow lol
Thanks, just followed what you showed here. It worked out.
Thank you!!! So easy when you know how to open the bloody thing!
Thank you! I enjoyed your video. I learned that you are not supposed to touch the top and bottom of battery at the same time. I love learning new things like that! I could not help but notice your beautiful cat! Is he /she a RAGDOLL?
It's very helpful. Thank you for making the video!
This video was very helpful! Thank you! The cat was funny in the background:)
Thanks buddy this video saved me a bunch of time and money...
Brilliant!!! Worked like a charm.
Thank you. I followed it and worked great.
This was insanely helpful! Thank you!
Thanks! I was just going to buy a new remote but found this!!!
I would have NEVER figured out how to change the battery in my garage door opener. Epic eye opener. Using a key to open packaging also new and valuable information. The "hack" using the visor clip to pry open the enclosure is pure genius. But... and I struggle to maintain my composure in just describing this.... To actually listen for the garage door opening instead of walking over to verify visually that the door is opening... OMG... Sometimes the information is just too much..
Helpful video to open it... thanks Dan
Thanks for getting to the point ! And for letting me know not to grab the battery from top and bottom XD
Knowledge is not far but hidden! I was looking for a tool to open this there it is!
You’re the best man! Thank you!
