What you mentioned about 're-programming' the Remote Control Opener actually did the trick. No one else mentioned this. Thanks! You have a a new subscriber.
thanks so much for your simplified instructions, you saved me a whole lot of money. I have had the Sears unit for 35 yrs and works perfectly. The hardwired push button wall mount opener died from a bad circuit board. I called the local "Overhead Garage" door business that has been here forever and asked them if they could replace my wall mount. They said that I would have to get a whole new garage door opener unit and they would have to install it. I called her a fraud and hung up on her and promptly Yelped that business. You just can't trust anybody in business esp now with the COVID thing as a big excuse. I went to Home Depot and got a handheld remote for $14, put Velcro on the back, and stuck it where the old hardwired one was. Good to go. thank you
Thank goodness I found your site. All the other sites had the wrong process to program the remote, I was totally frustrated, and wasted a lot of time with methods that did not work. Many thanks.
Oh my gosh, you saved us!! We could not figure out what was wrong. Our garage openers worked randomly and it was driving us crazy. We tried everything but we never thought about the brand new LED bulbs we put in. We came across your video and realized the LED bulbs were messing up our brand new remotes. Thank you so much!!
Thanks for this video. I had no idea using LED bulbs in the openers would cause clicker reception problems. Unscrewed the bulbs and bingo, I was able to program my new clicker.
yoo much thanks to you been working on this for about 1 week so many complications all i did was change the light bulb and now im good, many thanks to you.
Liftmaster remotes are tuned to a frequency (mine is supposed to be 315mhz). according to information I found on the FCC website regarding this product it should not be off frequency by more than .1%. (315khz) Using an SDR radio I found mine was off frequency at 315.5 mhz (500khz off frequency). retuning it is very touchy but can be done.
Thank you so much. Very helpful and easy to understand. My only issue now is I must be really close to the door to get it working. I changed the battery but the remote control distance issue remains
There should be an antenna on the motor on the ceiling. It's the yellow wire in this video freely hanging from the lampshade. Make sure it's out of the lamp cover for better remote coverage. Hope it helps.
My remote model is GDR-27 MLT. For me I pressed learn button once and then pressed my remote program button until it clicks. Then I randomly pressed and held the remote close and open button until the garage motor clicked and flashed. Once the motor recognizes twice, I pressed the button a third time and it finally closed and opened the garage door. My experience hope it helps
My actual remote LEDs will not blink. And the battery is new. I have three garage remotes doing this. They work intermittently throughout the day. Sometimes I can press on it 50 times and the LED will not come on. Then all of a sudden it works fine for a few hours. Again, I have three remotes doing this.
Since LEDs don't blink, the problem is with the remote itself. It's just strange that all 3 doing the same thing. Possibly bad contacts... corroding inside... not sure.
For me, had to press the program button on the back of my remote, then click on which button you want it programmed to and lastly hit the program button again.
To reset everything, press and hold the yellow Learn button for about 6 seconds. To program a remote, press the yellow button for 1 second and then press and hold the remote button for a few seconds. To program the second remote, press the yellow button for 1 second again, then press and hold the remote button.
hopefully someone has had my problem and can help 😅 All my remotes work perfectly fine but my issue is with the wall mounted button. The LED that indicates that its working as well as the button itself do not work consistently; UNLESS I rapidly press the button which will then make the button and LED work as intended for the next 10 minutes or so after which it will revert to not working again...

When you reset one does it reset the other house members too.
What do I do if I don’t have access to the garage to hit the reset button on the opener?
Any idea why after programming new remotes, it only opens. Doesn't close. The wall button works fine.
Thanks! Easy fix.
Glad it helped!

How i can set up my 2 remoters as same time. Because i set up one then another one doesn't work.
For me, had to press the program button on the back of my remote, then click on which button you want it programmed to and lastly hit the program button again.
Thank you 😊
Thanks for watching!
The trick to reset worked, but only for 1 remote control (I tried several times). How can I reprogram both? Thanks in advance.
To reset everything, press and hold the yellow Learn button for about 6 seconds.
To program a remote, press the yellow button for 1 second and then press and hold the remote button for a few seconds.
To program the second remote, press the yellow button for 1 second again, then press and hold the remote button.

3 remotes with new batteries won’t work. Learn light won’t shut off after 30 seconds. Led bulbs have been removed. What do I try next.
