I was a PA on VEEP and was there for the glass smashing scene! We spent like 6 hours of her just walking in to the glass. We filmed it in a fancy hotel in Baltimore and there was a wedding in the lobby on the same day. When she had cuts all over her face later in the day, JLD said "should I go down to the wedding and wish them well?"
Classic!
So sweet and impressive of her to mention the make-up artist by name
What a golden memory!
Haha
She is genuinely moved at the end when talking about how she feels lucky to be acting as a career. Very touching. And humble. She deserves every bit of success she has.
The best.
I could listen to her telling stories about Seinfeld and Veep for hours.
I just really love her professionalism and character. I’m not fond of many people but she just seems so strong and genuine, I can’t explain it. Obviously a lot of other people see/feel that. And I’ve only seen her acting!! Like omg what would she be like as a bestie?!
She and James Gandolfini were perfect together in Enough Said. Such a simple, but great movie
Just watched it a few days ago, having missed it. Great movie!
One of my favorites. Absolute gem of a film.
Depressing tho
@@MarcusAurelius7777 You think? I didn't find it to be a depressing movie.
I remember my wife and I went to go see that in the theater the night before our daughter was born. Great movie.
The second clip for VEEP had me rolling on the floor and dying of laughters when I first watched it. Honestly one of the best comedy scenes I've seen.
I make a point to rewatch it at least annually. It’s truly a masterpiece of insult comedy.
That scene is so iconic, Veep is one of the best comedy shows in the world
I absolutely love julia, she seems so genuine and humble
Especially considering how truly wealthy she is IRL... Google her some time when you're bored. Acting doesn't even factor in. $$$$
Yes, she's great!
1) I freaking LOVE Julia Louis-Dreyfus. She is so talented and genuine. Can't handle it. 2) I love this suit on her!
What the world did to deserve this eternally hilarious woman I will never know
We loved Lucy long enough to get another one.
I love her soo much. wish they had shown The New Adventures Of All Christine some love too, it's one of the most underrated shows ever
Yes! Love it!
VERY underrated. Wanda Sykes is great on there too
Yessss love it so much
I loved that show, Julia and Wanda were hilarious together.
Yes! I loved everyone in that show - so funny, but also warm. Slightly different for her.
I just can't get enough of Julia Louis-Dreyfus: she is THE MASTER!
Maggie Lizer in Arrested Development! The scene where Tobias is "hiding" in her house and she grabs the baseball bat is some primo physical comedy.
One of the funniest AD episodes. It also felt very Seinfeld-ish the way she went back and forth on her “blindness”
Elaine's "NEEEXT"! walked so that Selina's (do you want six almonds?) "NOOOOOO!!" could run.
Veep is truly the benchmark for insult comedy. Every character is so well done. I make a point to rewatch at least annually.
You might enjoy 'The Thick Of It' (same creator) and 'In The Loop' (film version).
I think it speaks volumes about her as a person that her first instinct isn't to talk about herself but how amazing the people she works with are.
I agree! It's rare to see a real 1 (imo!)
I love her so much. Comedic genius.
I love everything this lady does. Every show, every movie, every acceptance speech. Also she is very well spoken. Concise and kind. ❤❤❤❤
That suit Julia Louis-Dreyfus is wearing is EVERYTHING 💙
I can't say enough about how naturally talented she is
Enough said ;-)
Ya took one of the most famous Seinfeld episodes, sure, but there are so many better JLD scenes. She has a face and reaction for literally every possible human interaction. She's the best comedic emoter on TV (please post other if there are others!) and I wish we got her reaction to "So he will be bald?" or her saying "Ooooh! The Botticelli's!" or "It's a peach!" huh? "I say it's a peach!"
Spoilt for choice but her manic look in the freeze frame end moment of that ep is hard to beat. It was a rare moment when elaine got the better of someone in the show hence why they probably showed it.
The Christmas card scene may be my favorite in the entire show 😂
STELLLLLLA!
She seems to be a woman that will always have new roles to play, even when she gets older. I am really glad for her. She is so genuine and down to earth.
I just binge watched Veep and laughed out loud so much! The dialogue is so fast and funny! Love all the characters.
Enough Said is a real gem.
It says so much about her character that she pointed out Ana Gasteyer. She didn't have to and she did. Legend
I love her so much. Such a smart and relatable person.
Unfathomably talented and inventive, down to earth, sailor-mouthed, hilarious, sensitive, stunning billionaire heiress.
Julia's so talented, she has done so many phenomenal shows. She deserves all those Emmys! She is lovely and seems like such a fun, personable woman!
One of the greatest actresses ever. And she can still get it after all these years.🤩
What a career she continues to have! A remarkable talent.
I adore JLD Elaine was my favorite character on Seinfeld hands down. Veep was one of the funniest shows of all time because I laughed LOUDLY several times an episode. Selina Myer was a horrible human being but I loved her. Enough Said had fabulous chemistry with her and James Gandolfini - RIP
Julia Louis-Preyfus
@@DetectiveTrupo203 - lol
I could have watched another hour of this. More Seinfeld, National Lampoon's, SNL... Make a sequel!
Definitely was hoping to hear about Christmas Vacation...did she ever find out why the floor was all wet?!
Everything with Julia just sign me up ❤
Would love to have her as a dinner party guest. She is so funny, charming and interesting.
How can she look better than in Seinfeld? Unbelievable, gorgeous.
Amazing she’s been involved with two of the greatest TV comedies in history
Three when you include Curb.
@@jockejocke1 4 if you include TNAOOC🔥🔥
she's so sweet i wanna cry
One of the greats. Hasn't put in a bad performance in her life.
She is a national treasure!
She's so amazing... BIG fan of her. Great to see this.
I first saw Louis-Dreyfus on a show called "Day by Day" and immediately thought, "she's brilliant." It's made me happy over the years to watch her success as a performer.
oh i absolutely loved that scene when selina told gary about being the president in veep ahahahahaha i rarely laugh out loud when i'm watching a movie or show, but this scene made me laugh so hard that no sound came out and it made my stomach hurt!! IT WAS THAT SERIOUS
I was stoked to see her come into the MCU. I cant wait to see more of her
i love her so much
Her podcast, “Wiser Than Me”, is very special.
She is the best comedic actress in television history but she will always first and foremost be Elaine Marie Benes.
You always hear people talk about their favorite female character of television viewing through many ages. 100% Elaine is mine, and I've watched 69ish years of television.
Shut Up!!!
I love how every scene she reviews is mostly about others instead of herself.
I have so much respect for her. A wonderful talent 🥰
Love Veep so much. I'm definitely going to do a re-watch very soon.
Fun listening to her. Love her on Seinfeld they were all amazingg❤❤
the GLARING omission of A Bug's Life
Waw! Julia Louis-Dreyfus' use of the English language is superb.
She's wonderful and deserves every bit of success.
She's one of my favorite comediennes of all time
I adore her, she's brilliant!
Julia is a legend. She’s hilarious.
She’s amazing ❤
Her real laugh on the Seinfeld bloopers is the best Jerry! The best!
Julia is SOOOO. BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I love this woman with a passion
She’s perfection
i love Veep so much!!!!
I've loved her all my life!
12:56 That is the coolest Martin has ever looked in a movie 😂 Love his deadpan and straight faces.
love love love her
Julia is like the ultimate "Fine Wine"! (That suit, though...)
She always looks effortlessly stunning.
Great style and a real personality.
Such a wonderful comedienne. Holy cow! She got a fabulous face lift.
She's amazing.
She had the best hair on tv during Seinfeld. Veep has a raunchy and hilarious show.
Ugh such legend 😭
I have such a crush on her😭
she's a queen
Couldn't be happier for her that she got her break and that she had more success after seinfeld which didnt come easy either, it wasnt immediate. Would've been nice to see her reflect on her snl time too after all that was her first mini break before seinfeld.
I love herrrrrrrrrrrr
Enough Said is a hidden gem
La uno,por siempre ❤
Enough Said is such a brilliant film.
What an icon
My Dad got me into Seinfeld and I’m in love with her character
So interesting!!!
Essa mulher é simplesmente fantástica. Um gênio do humor, de verdade!
Love this lady so much😅❤
She looks great at the age of 62. She also looks professional and classy in the outfit she is wearing during the interview.
She's the only person I can think of who grew up with her type of wealth and seems to be an entirely decent, down-to-Earth human being who has genuine empathy for others and a motivation to be productive that isn't limited to generating the greatest possible assets for herself with the least possible effort.
I love watching her in anything!
I have never seen that. When did it Air as they never showed that in England.
Julia is lovely. I'll never not watch something with her in it.
Also, it's great to have the actor react to scenes like these, but how about surprising them with the bloopers of a scene once? The way she describes the multiple takes or how they couldn't stop laughing, makes me think she might have a lot of fun explaining some bloopers as well.
So, you'll always watch something with her in it. That's nice
"never not?", presumably,means you will...
My hugest crush during the 90s
She was one of the brief but best parts of Wakanda forever and can already tell she’s going to be the best parts of Thunderbolts
When she does the Elaine cheek click at 1:20!!
I've had a crush on Julia ever since I saw her on Seinfeld. Needless to say, I'm 38, and still have a crush on her! She is still incredibly beautiful at 62!!
I love her
13:00 YESSS CANT WAIT FOR THUNDERBOLTS WITH HER !!!
She …is …the….BEST!!
For me, there is: Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, Catherine O’Hara, Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Cloris Leachman?
And the timeless Wendie Malick?
She's simply brilliant! (side note what's with the bad lighting?)
I remember she was on a show before Seinfeld. I forget the name but she was a neighbor of a family with little kids.
My favorite episodes were Jerry and Elaine as a couple followed by The Merv Griffin Show. The close talker, Ponies etc... I continue to watch the reruns.
Julia Richards
I'd pay the money for a front row seat at a JLD auditorium interview if she ever came to Australia. The best.
She's still a stunner
She's an icon😊
Vc é espetacular, mulher que atravessou gerações e continua sempre linda, ótima atriz!
I am CACKLING at that first Veep scene. I've said it before and I'll say it forever: Veep is the greatest comedy of all time.
