He was a deacon for over 40 years and member of the Lions Club for over 40 years as well.. My mother just passed at 96 and her service was a beautiful testament to a true Christian woman, one who walked the walk all her life not talk the talk. She was a first grade school teacher for 35 years and she and I and I sang in the choir from when I entered high school until I left for college. I was the youngest member ever to join the choir at the time. My sister was the first baby baptized in that church that is now 75 years old and the largest church in my community and not once did I ever see my folks push their religious views on anyone else, in fact we were taught not to do so. Instead we were taught to lead by example. My family growing up could be described by the old timey saying of they're their every time the church door opens. My father refreed high school basketball and was the first white referee to call a game at our segregated black high school as no other white referees would cross that line and the state was discriminating against black men who wanted to become referees at the time. And man did he get grief for it as you can imagine the 60s in the south in a small town. So yeah I had a pretty good foundation. I have watched many of her trials, I have a criminal justice degree and find them very interesting. It doesn't "sound like to me" but it looks like to me from your comment when you don't agree with someone you attack them personally about things you know nothing about. Not a good look. And thanks for giving me the motivation to remember my folks and the legacy they left for what they did for our family and our community.

Once she denied she had the debit card she should have been put in jail. However they need to legalize marijuana in Texas.

There is no safe level of exposure to second hand smoke per the American Lung Association.
I have a neighbor who smokes tobacco and weed, smoke of which floats into my house. I much prefer the tobacco. It is gone quickly, The weed is so much more toxic and lingers much longer.
It causes physical and psychological distress. Too bad it is legal in CA. Don’t be so sure every state will legalize it.

@@Nikalette100 Yeah, pot smokers are irritating. I've always seen it as the drug of stupid people. I can't imagine something so addictive that people are willing to break the law just to use. I don't think I've ever smelled cannabis at all, but I also think some tobacco smells nice.

I do not understand our judicial system these days no wonder no one has any fear of committing a crime any longer. Punishment had gotten so lax

Thank you Judge Boyd for making me feel ancient talking about ha having to go to the pay phone for a quarter and no phones in our rooms and cell phones were not invented 😂. I remember those days and in a way I miss it. Less drama then.
