Mine started off as a Royal in .22lr now it’s in an mdt chassis and put a .17hmr barrel on it, damn thing is a tack driver at 100yrds. Absolutely love it!
I just put Down a deposit on a cv 457 var 16’’ and waiting on my license too clear what will be a good scope the won’t break the bank. Can’t wait for my new rifle
Hi Chris. I’m about to buy one of these in the 17hmr 16” barrel. What ammo have you found to be the best through it in your opinion. Great informative vid as always.
congratulations for the video, would you recommend the 20" barrel or the shorter 16" barrel for the 17 hmr caliber for maximum accuracy at long long distance??
@@ghassanghosnn It’s a nice little rifle and so far I’m happy with it. It’s accurate and I haven’t had any feeding or misfire issues at all. This is my 3rd Tikka all in different calibres and styles and I think for hunting rifles under 2k you couldn’t ask for much more..

16 should be more accurate but you might get an extra 25-50 fps out of the longer barrel.
That is perfect! Why the heck isn't this model available in the US? That is silly.
Just bought a 457 20" Varmint barrel. Can I ask what distance you zeroed the rifle at please Chris ?.
I can’t decide between this, the Ruger American target or the Tikka T1x..all 3 have something I like more about them than the others.
Let me add another wrench into the gears. Bergara bmr steel/carbon. That's another of my options 🤣

I ended up buying the Tikka T1X Hunter which is the timber version..
How are you finding it mate?
