I can't believe how fragile and subtle your masterpiece is. I admire all the passion you've put into it. More than words can describe. You are one of the purest artists I've ever seen.
Hi mate,I'am from India. You did a great job,You are an artist man,you did a great job. This is a masterpiece. The attention to detail is great, with Indian VT Registration marking to markings in Hindi and marking on each window and the typical lines of Air India livery. Well done pal.
I agree not using color paint. Maintaining the evident manila folder origin is part of the beauty of this well done work. Admire the tedious attention to detail.
If I could be that dedicated in just one thing in my life it'll be a huge achievement. This video deserves way more views! Thanks a lot for sharing, can't wait to see the next one.
really not sure why there is a sudden surge of negative comments, although a lot of them are word for word copies of each other. I'm guessing some sort of bot or just trolls. regardless, I watched this video over a year ago, and again today, still do not consider it a waste of time, and am completely inspired and amazed at the craftsmanship. only thing is i cringe when you pull back the tape and it grabs some of the manila folder with it.
The dislikes are from those people who can't even make 1 fold properly By the way I love the fact you choose Air India Livery above all others knowing that it (probably?) can't be undone! I am Indian and a fan of your work! Subscribed and liked right away!
OH MY GOD OMG THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS AMAZING PASSION MAN. As a model maker, I have never thought that there other people that are crazier detail than me, my gosh. I am so inspired by your passion. That is a really cool man. Neat, awesome, sick looking tiny details and so f*****k pleasing to my eyes.
Love from India what a wonderful guy so much passionate and I guess he has ∞ amount of patience I would have given up just by thinking the video building up such a model
I'm sure the lines show up more in person that what I can see in this video. VERY impressive work you've done here. one question, how do you make such tiny strips of tape?
Can't speak for the poster, but I use a metal ruler & a scalpel over graph paper (helps keep the widths consistent)... The result is the same, thin strips of tape.
Stephen Troyer Stick the tape down onto something flat, but don't press it down so that you have to peel & tear to get it off. You need to select an appropriate tape for this to work so that it doesn't lose its stickiness. Use the metal ruler to guide the scalpel blade as you cut the tape into strips. It gives crisp, clean strips of any thickness you desire.
+Stephen Troyer Probably not the easier, more high tech answer you were looking for lol... Though it takes patience, the result works for me. But I speak only for myself, there may well be better ways to do it
I am from India and I can tell that the work is just mind boggling.! u really did it the best possible manner. I am glad that u didn't paint it, otherwise the essence that it is made up of Paper would have gone away. ! Amazing detail. Unique work! :)
And this is how you keep people whatching the whole video by making them wait for the magic moment when you reveal all that actual paint you promissed in the title. Please understand that my critique is not directed towards your work or the model, which are both amazing. It is just a shame that you used such a misleading title and description.
+Christian Lang (MasterTRL) I have problem with more than a title. Seriously, the model is superb, why not paint it? Or at least the parts that are "different". What is the point of those "shiny" spots, they are barely visible even in darkness with light on big angle. I'm sure there is reason the actual paint can't be used but there has to be SOMETHING.
Naxster I disagree with you there. Of course the guy can totally decide how to paint or not paint his own creation. It's not like he has to follow any rules if he does this just for himself. He let's us take part in what he himself loves and I appreciate that. Only the fact that I,because of the misleading description, actually expected some colour bothers me.
Christian Lang I'm not saying he CAN'T do that. I'm saying "dude, why?" Maybe there is actually good reason, I just can't see it and I weep over unused opportunity.
I don't get it..... WTF... it never got painted... All that suspense and no satisfaction of painting... You have given me an itch that I cant scratch....
***** Honestly it think it's perfect. The main focus is that it's made out of manilla folder! thats what makes it so special! (aside from the meticulous detailing that went into it) Painting over it would of limited it to just being "some model" to the average viewer.
+VideoAndMore the work that went into scratch-building a large scale super detailed model. Is it not obvious. I have scratch-built many a wooden ship model in the past and not one of them, not a single one, had a lick of paint on it beyond clear coats. It's almost a crime to hide the work involved.
What morons would give this guy a thumbs down? Jelous haters who cant build a plastic snap together model. Sir, your work is mind blowing! Tremendous job on this amazing project.
